  • Anyone else had this particular failure mode yet?

    • Spotted the week's freebie (the Halloween Fright goodies) and popped into cart
    • Clicked the Cart not-a-cart-icon button; odd, there's no numbers for the price at all
    • Clicked the "buy" button; get "choose payment option" error message
    • Now the numbers for the price appear, after a few more seconds (showing the proper 100% discount)
    • Clicked "buy" again, this time it worked

    There's too many bits of the store's functions having random delays in them — I'm getting to the point where I don't care any more about finding new and interesting things to go wrong, I just don't want to buy anything while the entire website's acting up like this.

    Would it be too much to ask for that when this is fixed for new purchases, already bought stuff will also be restored to the proper order? Or are they both the same problem?

    The list of known problems in the first message of this thread has not been updated for over two weeks now. Have any of those issues been fixed? Are there new known problems that should be added? Where is progress documented? The Blog has no updates about the store change in the last two weeks either.

    The Store Credit page enters Refunds as negative changes (minus -) on the balance. Accounting 101: Credits are the OPPOSITE of debits.

    EDIT: Never mind. The issue I posted about was corrected essentially as I was writing this post.

    EDIT 2: OK, it wasn't fixed. The store is just being weirdly random. About two thirds of the time, as far as I can tell, most of today's $3 items aren't appearing on the front page at https://www.daz3d.com/shop/ with its default New Releases sort. Modern Country Home and Artisan Hair ARE on the front page; Midori, dForce Samantha Outfit, GHD Table Top Decoration, and Blue HD are NOT. Except when they are. Whether or not they appear seems to be at the whims of the gods, or something. Reload the store, and they disappear. Reload again, and they're still gone. Reload again, and there they are. Reload again, and they're gone again. Always the same ones.

    You can still see them on the sale page itself; that doesn't seem to be an issue. Just the main storefront.

    (And I haven't bought them yet, so that's not an issue. Using Firefox 83 on Windows 10 1909, if that makes a difference.)

    But the forum decided to randomly log me out when I was posting the initial message, so apparently that's still a thing.

    The Balance (separate from the columns) is correct. But I'd like to have it corroborated elsewhere since I've had products I've purchased disappear from my Product Library, orders removed, membership cancelled, account locked sans explanation. Is this not the thread for reporting specific issues?

    I didn't notice any recent purchases missing from DIM. Thing is, it might have an order, but it might not appear in the Product Library and/or it might not appear in DIM (can't speak as to DAZ Central or Connect, but Connect seems to be making a mess of things for some). Too many sources to cross-check.

    When using the store search, if the search results returns one (and only one) *unowned* item, the search result page starts to load, then automatically redirects you to that item's product page. I can see where someone would think that is a helpful feature, but it means you can't find owned products that match your search term.

    That's because they've all been carted off to an insane asylum or gone into hiding.  Or both. Hiding in an insane asylum. I would too if I had to try to keep up with this disaster.

    Again, the search results page starts to load, and then it redirects you. Before you can change the toggle. It is turned on by default when I do a new search, even if I just turned it off on a search results page. This specifically happens if there is one, and only one, unowned item in the results.

    I don't know about that, I'd consider content disappearing from our product libraries to be a pretty big issue. I'm still missing stuff from right before the changeover, and now stuff bought afterward has also disappeared. Bundle contents are there, but the bundles themselves are absent and show as not being purchased on the storefront. I'm sure someone will chime in about how that's not a big deal, but it actually is considering that in the library, bundles are collection points for all their components so that you don't have to remember the name and search for each individual one. In fact they're about the only bit of order left in that system and mine are disappearing.

    I'm bracing myself for an order by order, item by item manual audit of my account because clearly the system is screwed up and it's taken the better part of a month of fighting to get ONE PRODUCT put back into my account where it belongs. There are more than twenty others that I know about and who knows how many that I don't. They keep telling us that things are fixed and they aren't, and in fact are getting worse.

    Assuming all that is in a ticket, it will get sorted.  The issue with things like us relaying stuff from the forums is that it's a nightmare to track.. which is why the ticket system is the preferred option.  But yes, they are super slammed that moment so it's slow.

    Ugh ... I have 168 pages of products (at the moment ...) going through every order looking whether stuff is in the product library ... No fun. Not buying anything at the moment (apart from freebies), as I don't want to risk buying something twice.

    Additionally, as the sorting order old to new doesn't work nowadays in the product library, that makes it even less fun.

    That's about where I am, too. Don't want to buy things twice, plus things I pay for could well be gone from my library the next day! I've had a ticket in about this whole mess for the better part of a month and have regained a single item... while losing more from AFTER the switch. Can't blame that on records migration failing.

    I've only got 100 pages in my library and am dreading it. Finding any sort of order in that thing was always an impossible task, but now it's even worse since we'll have to manually search for each and every product now that everything is an unsortable, jumbled mess. With bundle containers disappearing, we may have to look those up outside of orders to verify the component products, now haphazardly splattered throughout the library. And we pretty much have to do it all if we want to know what exactly has been lifted out of our accounts.

    I guess it's time for me to build that catalog of what I own, or more accurately, what I've paid for. I may as well do it as I go.

    Adding items to the wishlist is still an issue sometimes. The page needs to be reloaded 3-4-5 times to be able to add the item to the wishlist.

    Most of the readmes are missing these days. PC+ items seem to have them, but very few other items do.

    Some items don't show up in the store at all. We don't have to go too far back, today's two bundles, for example, don't show up at all. But they are not the only ones.

  • Can anybody from Daz tell me how many hoops I'll have to jump through if I buy something today?

    Yesterday I bought 6 items and only 4 showed up on my downloads page. The 2 missing items would not even show up in a search of my purchased items. So I have to go to my orders page, click on the order, find the missing item and click it, that will take me to the downloads page and give me the item to download. Then back to the orders page click the order, find the second missing item, click on it which takes me to the downloads page for download.

    Now out of 6 items purchased I had to jump hoops to download 2 of them, that is 1/3 of the items I bought. Today Daz would like me to buy 2 bundles and get a bunch of free crap which will give me roughly 30 new items, if 1/3 of them do not show on my downloads page, I'll have to jump 3 hoops about 10 times. Yippie!!

    Anybody else having purchased items not showing up in the downloads? Is there a quicker way to get all the missing items actually show up at the same time?

    No worries, it is just sad that isn't that much "fun" anymore. 

    I hope you are wrong about the items not being marked as purchased. I do have a few purchased items that when they show up on sale or just in the store (mostly in the "choose from these free items" part of a sale) they are listed as not having been purchased. And, them items are not in my downloads list. The items are so old I just hoped Daz would have fixed that issue by now. Also I did download them when I made the purchase. That's the funny part, Daz offered the download back then but not now. The fact that purchase was back on June 06, 2002, it's not an issue, just an annoyance that every time I see the items in the store I know that Daz's records are not as accurate as mine. ;-]
