That'll do it *g*
Is anyone seeing any discounts on the new releases? Everything new today is showing up at full price for me.
I see them discounted.
They are now...
Ce la vie. There is always another sale. We should respect the PA's decision.
IMAO useful tools should be integrated into the program and that's DAZ's responsibility to do it (to make it or buy it). If not, we have bridges, engines, (Hexagon)....
It's a bit "funny" in my eyes that there is no default tool in DAZ to select a part of the mesh and move it, rotate it. Probably Hexagon was that tool but it would need a bit more care so it doesn't crash so often. (The last update help with that, but a bit more tweaking would make it much better. )
There's been one for years: dFormers. Mesh grabber simply makes it way easier.
There's another productivity tool on offer today that makes everything else I've seen look like child's play. Commercial thread suggests "don't do anything stupid", so that leaves me out.
OK so is the banner for Mesh Grabber now legit? I have it back again.
me too idk
Yep, just showed up for me. I guess now I have to get it since I complained so much lol.
I am waiting for official notice that it is legit as I don't want to take advantage of the PA and his hard work.
It's legit. I was wrong and Daz was right.
Thanks so much for the clarification @ManFriday
dFormers are (monstrosity(?)) not the industry-standard way in my eyes. Try to make a straight 1-meter long hard edge with it XP, hard extrude, basic editor functions.
dformers are nice if you want to make bumps etc... for an organic type of sculpting might be good, but I wouldn't call them a default tool, It's more like a pre-brush tool as it's missing the brush settings.
Yes with practices and scaling, multiple dformer, you could get interesting results, but that's far from any editor/default toolkit.
And as Hexa got a send in and send back command with an automated morph save function it's more like a default tool, but still not in DS and if you are sending back and for many things, you will get crashes.
But that's just how I see it.
ps:
New flash sale: https://www.daz3d.com/related-items
the new item part of it works too with any new items.
Thank you! I owned the first two products, so grabbing the bundle for the one additional product.
Mesh Grabber banner only for owners of one of the products in the bundle? I don't own any and I got no banner.
For the 4-hour Flash Sale, I tried adding a new item and Fit Control Genesis 8 Bundle to the cart but I don't see 70% discount on Fit Control... $44.95 becomes $16.18 .. that is a 64% discount.. it should instead be $13.485 at a 70% discount.
Mesh Grabber bundle purchased. I made good on my word.
THANK YOU!!!!

I too have the banner again. But I spent the money, and have a few more items in the cart. And now a flash sale with a couple of wishlist items over 60% off. What to do. Problem for me, it is I get both Rotator and Morph Editor for less than $20 USD. On the other hand, a 70% flash sale (should they ever show up there) would be better. And, I save up to 90% from the Plat for a day items I have. Sorry ManFriday, yesterday I had it in my cart and was waiting for whatever it is I wait for rather than buy right away. Today, nope. What I wait for is buyers remorse. If I get it before checking out I dump the item.
Speaking of Plat for a Day, did you notice the Step Van and Step Van Extension are each $1.99 and the bundle is $1.99. Just the way it works, but I wonder if anybody buys just one (except for the extension to add to an already owned Van).
It's 60% off as base if you are PC+ member; only 40% left from the price; so 10% the 40% is 4% so the total off is 64%.
If you make a calculation you will get the item at: (1-60%)*(1-10%)=36% which is 64% discount (DAZ math)
I am a PC+ member and as it is written it should be 60% off the price which I see plus another 10% off when I add any new item. But It becomes 64% off instead of 70% off
60% discount ==> 40% of full price, 90% x 40% = 36%
... but can we still complain about ManFriday?
Sorry but what should 90% x 40% be ?
60% off -> $44.95 x 0.40 = $17.98
70% off -> $44.95 x 0.30 = $13.485
dForms can have weight maps.
Look at this way:
$100 item at 60% off is $40.
Then you get an additional 10% off that amount. 10% of $40 is $4, so the final cost is $36, which means you got an overall discount of 64%.
Your math is wrong.
$44.95 .. what is 10% of $44.95 ? That is $4.495 Then multiply that amount by 3 to get 30% (70% off) and by 4 to get 40% (60% off).
Interesting. I had it for awhile yesterday; but I don't have it today. Maybe because i already bought the bundle?
Nah; he is one of the good guys.
But is that banner only for those that already had one of the products in the bundle ? Or you bought the bundle not having any of the products?
