No, it was incorrect. There was no 70% sale, just a display issue.

...and a customer service issue.  Your most loyal customers have alerts for items they have been waiting on. When a "display issue" occurs you have hundreds if not thousands of customers running to your store only to be dissappointed.  Happened twice in the last month and is very frustrating.  Not everyone will leave feedback and I usually won't, but this left a very bad impression with me.

This is not a sales error per se, but this promo for Aiya could use some proofreading.

I received 80+ notifications this morning for a 70% off price that apparently doesn't exist.  This is the second occurrence.  You really should investigate this issue so this doesn't become a pattern.

The notifications are from ATI / Overdrawn's excellent DAZ Deals browser addon  and not from DAZ

I believe the point is that there's a  problem with the process of updating prices and/or the software that causes these pricing glitches to occur.  Not thata someone's plugin told people about it.

The low prices were there, I would say, for at least 45-60 minutes... enough for me to go through 4 long screens (of each generation), pick out new stuff and prioritising stuff from my long wishlist, head out to make an egg sandwich, back to complete my cart and then just as I was going to checkout all my 41 items, the prices all vanished. Was rather a disappointment, my first time affected by a major error here. Actually, I was so disappointed that I simply cleared my cart and went straight to bed. We know that "things happen" and nothing is guaranteed until checked out but it was still a bit hard to swallow. Anyway, life is greater than this and we have much more to appreciate, like our good health. Cheers to all.

This happened to me a few times. I think if you look at prices soon after daz midnight you get price errors at least once a week. Sometimes I don't want to look that early just so I don't waste time but Daz midnight for me it's exactly when I wake up: 9 a.m. so it's a great time to look at the shop before starting to work. So all these errors wasting my time just make me upset and to clear my cart.

I had a Sahira 8 cart from last night and I wanted to pull the trigger on it this morning. Saw the discounted prices on the g8 bundles and thought I'll pick a few of those as well. Looked around, spent some time deciding which one was worth it. Went to breakfast, came back, prices were bigger.

Just the same as you, just cleared the cart and closed Daz. (even though before the error I wanted to buy the Sahira stuff even without anything additional)

In the end I am at least a little happy that this means I spend less money. There's a silver lining in almost anything.

Exactly! And I then told myself... nothing again until a 50% off gift card sale hahaha!

I don't think we've ever had a 50% off gift card sale. The best I can remember was around 40%, but I have a feeling that even that was not intentional, just two sales stacking.

What was the best sale on gift cards you guys remember? :)

I am a newbie and within the past month I have only witnessed one at 30% and a second 30% offered under the radar which I missed hahaha

(Unintentional, we assume) 40%, like you said. That was the best I ever got in the 8 years I've been shopping here. Anybody waiting for 50% may never buy anything ever again.

The best I ever managed to snag was 31.15% (two overlapping offers and an apparent glitch). I've had 30% two or three times but (grrr!) missed that 40%

Yeah, as others have said, the best we usually see on gift cards is in the 30%-35% off range, and even that is rare.  The Uber stacking gift card sale in January was definitely an anomoly.  Some managed over 40%, but I missed the first opportunity thanks to passing on some sale, but still managed around 39% off as I remember.  Note that there were a few 'buy in' requirements to hit that GC discount level, but IMHO they weren't too bad.  This is the ONLY time I've personally seen discounts that high on gift cards in the 3+ years I've been shopping around here.

So yeah, I wouldn't expect much more than 30% or so off of git cards, but then we never know in advance what the Daz sales team may cook up next...

I AM a bit annoyed that the 'loyalty' banner coupons keep purple banner blocking my $6 off of $18 coupon, not to mention the coupon codes in various sales.  And the one sale I wanted to deploy that coupon, well the discounts weren't functioning correctly so said coupon was only taking a few cents off of my cart total.  Since the lag on customer service has been significant of late, plus trying to screenshot everything, etc. to show that the coupon wasn't fully applying and then composing a CS ticket is a pain, I gave up on that sale, but May will soon be drawing to a close.

Also annoyed by the 'stealth' coupons over at Facebook, that apparently people aren't allowed to post about here.  Some of us value our privacy and refuse to play Facebook's game...

In short, PLEASE stop purple banner coupon blocking my PC+ coupons!

The problem being, of course, that if you have a lot of price notifications input into ATI's wonderful system, then when Daz does stuff like this, you get a ton of price notifications that you have to go through and reset.  I think the last time there were over forty I had to redo.  Can't wait to go open my emails.

Maybe 38-40% with some stacking in the last 15 years.

One at 60% off in January and one at 50% off in March. These undoubtedly were glitches or may have resulted from unintended stacking with a purple banner. They are the only two I have ever seen that were over 40%

A site message for exclusive offer that appears at the top of your shopping page. For example the extra discount on a Pro bundle for owning a lot of other Pro bundles. They are also in your messages > exclusive offers

...yeah, saw the same.  At 00:30 here on the left coast (01:30 Daz Time) I checked my wishlist and saw pretty much everything at 70% off or better (lots of items, mostly props and vehicles for around 5 - 8$)   As it was late (early AM), I was tired, and realising had a full day yet ahead to shop went to bed,.  Just a few minutes ago I opened my wishlist to begin selecting what I wanted to purchase, only to see that everything went up in price, most of the items I was interested in now more than 10$.  So much for that.

Had I known this would happen, I would have stayed up another hour or so filled my cart and cashed out then.

Back at the end of January if you had bought the latest pro bundle in the first 1-2 days I recall some people getting a coupon for 10% off anything. That combined with a few other stacking offers bought the total gift card discount to a shade over 50%. Ask Cyperfox, I recall he bought two massive cards. I had not bought the bundle but I did use the other stacking discounts and I got a gift card for around 46% off.

I should add that such discounts are very rare, but around 30% or so seems to be a lot more common than it was a year or two ago.

We can safely assume that with Daz new policy to have coupon offer on almost anything that unintended stacking discounts on GC are very unlikely in the future.

I think this is their way of protecting themselves against unthough combination of offers, just use for most sale offers a coupon code. In my mind, the laziest way to do it and also blocking some decent stacks and even the PC+ coupons from a lot of stuff.

Oh well, there's always another sale. With the way things went lately with the offers I am realising I am fine without buying stuff, I have plenty already. I even passed on the 1.39 deal even though I had at least 6 items in my wishlist in that item pool since I wasn't interested in any of the new items.

Before two weeks or so I fel like a dazaholic. Now, not so much. What I couldn't stop myself from doing, Daz is doing for me, so I guess I should feel grateful in the end.

No, it was incorrect. There was no 70% sale, just a display issue.

"Just a display issue" shows how we have become conditioned to accepting these persistent errors. I had a few things in my cart and had to leave it to do other things but intended to return and select some more. I believed that I was buying as advertised (as I would in a retail store with price stickers) but no - when I returned to my cart, the prices had jumped. I immediately emptied my cart.

I'm not a marketing person and I have to admit that DAZ seems to have got a marketing strategy (constantly variable pricing passed off as "sales") that works for them but we, the customers, are subject to all manner of confusion, not least due to the chronic "display issue" errors that are blithely dismissed with a digital hand-wave. The web site and store software should be dumped and replaced with something that customers can trust,

the best was actually 50% off on Feb 16, 2019. This was my cart, but I didn't actually pull the trigger, I could have but I felt too guilty to do it. I did change it and get a $50 gift card for $25 though. (I've spent enough over the years that I didn't feel bad for that.)

What about having a period of 2-3 hours after midnight US Mountain time where the shop is closed until a human can verify sales prices? It would also prevent people complaining that they didn't get things free when the price is actually something (I am guessing the intended price) divided by zero (resulting in the NaN/undefined error that shows up on the product's page but makes the price "Free" on the daily sales page) for the first little bit. I would strongly urge DAZ to look at other shop software if these glitches and the sales they bring in aren't intentional (but what marketing if they are!).

The store engine doesn't decide on its own that it'll hold a huge sale unintentionally. These unintended sales are usually triggered by multiple different sales stacking with each other. Those sales rules are set up by humans. It doesn't matter what store engine is used, they will still be set up by (the same) humans.

Not sure if that would help — IIRC a big part of the problem is that everything (usually) looks OK at the DAZ end. It's just when us sale beta testers customers access the store pages that have been distributed through CloudFlare's servers world-wide that the Weird Stuff™ happens. They don't all synchronise at the same time, and there's no guarantee any particular outside access is going to always take the same path through CloudFlare's internal server network. I know my usual connection doesn't go through the nearest server, although a tracert suggests that might be affected by my ISP having (I think) its own internal network hub in London.

That could be a problem with display issue but I don't see how that would actually influence real price in cart.

There are plenty of times when the sales errors translate to other prices. This can't be anything to do with CloudFlare.

What I think they should have, if they can't have it correctly from the first try is a test server. Somewhere to upload the sales a few hours before and test things out. when everything is working as they planned move the final offers over to the real server and for us to use.

Being jerked around with sales that sometimes are errors, sometimes are weird stacks, sometimes are real sales (you rarely can know which is which) is very tiresome. And I've only started in December last year.

The first few times seems like fun, to see if you can maybe get some items lower than intended, stacking offers or whatever but after a while it just becomes tiresome and irksome.

What's with this? Scrolling across the banners and I hit this.

Never saw this before and it doesn't work.

    Is this OLD?

    ---

AND am I right to assume- today has no new releases and only the 60% flash sale?

Put three new releases in the cart from this sale.

Edit: The Flash Sale is a flash sale, the new sale is the 3.99 sale.
