I left it for awhile and then tried again and this time the purchase went through for $14.91.
$20 off coupon is not working correctly. It removes all or part of the discount already on the item I want to purchase, and then applies a partial discount to the full price. And even then I didn't get the full $20 discount, it took $15.37 off instead.
The Morphing Rocks and Formations, if memory serves, was a PA holiday giveaway in 2014. Although the holiday freebies are delivered through the Daz site, they aren't really Daz products, and don't remain in the store past the holiday. Although I could be mistaken. I don't see anything in the description to indicate it's a PA Giveaway. But my receipt for the product shows I got it for free.
That is the 20% off coupon, which is applying correctly. The $20 off select Daz Originals is 20-YEARS-DAZ
So it was, so it was, now that I check it on my end. I was taking the lead from someone who said (in another thread) they were having trouble with it, and a couple other joined in, but now that I read it carefully, it was about bad documentation links. I thought they had just got it in one of the promotions lately and were having difficulties downloading.
Duh! I'm so stupid, thanks.
I saw it in DIM as an update and every time I tried to download it, the download failed. Until yesterday. The issue was real, but the poster who mentioned having just purchased it was mistaken.
Personally, I think E&J should update it with more morphs and Iray materials and make it a general release.
Not stupid, just human. We often "see" what we expect, not necessarily what is there. Maybe a touch of wishful thinking, too. I know I would have liked two $20 off coupons…!

Does the 20% off order and $20 of DO’s work for today’s new sale ? As in, it resets for the new sale day? If not, and it’s an absolute one order only for the duration of however long the sale continues, there really does need to be a disclaimer.
Just got a banner saying I own a "Non crowd billboard" product. I guess that was the freebie with the two elves that I suppose is not technically a crowd lol.
Sigh... I asked this question almost as soon as yesterday's ad broke and never got an answer. Yet, golly, here we are and they've got the same store codes being run again today in an entirely different ad, and as I SPECIFICALLY asked, it seems that they don't work again. Is there a reason that the DAZ store team can't anwer these questions when asked, or are they really so clueless about social skills that they can't see that this kind of game only frustrates and irritates their customers?
It's quite ridiculous, really. There is absolutely no disclaimer or anything to state it is a once only use FOREVER. They have new sales up, the coupons are still there in the new sales, and given that there is absolutely nothing to say they are not able to be used again in the second sale day, quite...wrong.
This all sounds like deja vu. Didn't we just go through this same kind of scenario with another coupon in the very recent past?
I wonder what would happen if the DAZ offices were situated somewhere in the EU... *imagines consumer advocates rubbing their hands*
Considering that these errors are repeated almost every sale, it seems they do not learn from their mistakes. Even a simple check list would help them.
[x] Are the correct items presented in the sale?
[x] Does the sale actually work? (too often this is NO. Don't you actually test them?)
[x] Does the heading prepresent the sale?
[x] Is there a limitation to the sale? Is it stated?
[x] Is this the prepresentation of a previous sale? (i.e. if you used it yesterday, you can't today) Is it stated?
[x] Is todays "special" twice the price it was yesterday? (bad, but tollerable)
[x] Is todays "special" half the price it was yesterday? (don't be so mean to your customers)
[x] If we release this sale, how many customers will arrive at the door with torches and pitchforks? (this one has been "yes" a little too often of late)
Promo page for 'Looking for a Fastgrab on morphs?' is similar, but different than Promo page for 'Celebrate 20 Years of Daz 3D'
Different New Releases, Different Featured Artists. Morphs page has additional section --> Select Fastgrab Morph Items.
Just a heads up for anyone who didn't notice. (This might be common but I wouldn't know, I seldom pay much attention to Daz sales until the Big sales come along!)
Yes, it is, but this new page presents the 20% off and $20 off coupons as if they are something new - with no mention that they are the exact same coupons on the other page, and restricted to a single use. That is what the complaint is.
I didn't use my "20"coupons yesterday, but did use my one for the free items today and it worked. That's all I know at this point.
I did use my $20 off yesterday, and it does not work today. I don't mind that. I just wish that the promotion made that clear, instead of presenting it as if it was a new promo today. It would save a lot of angst.
Right, the $20 of free DOs is a one time, yesterday deal if you used it yesterday. I can't test if it works today but sounds like Cris verified above it is still working today for those who didn't use it yesterday. Just be glad about THAT. (And don't assume it will continue working LOL...)
Is the fastgrab promotion working for anyone yet?
For me items are full price at the moment.
I didn't notice that you had to have a special new release for the discount to apply.
"only usable once per customer" would have saved me some time.
20-DAZ-SAVINGS doesn't work for me as well as I've used it yesterday.
Yes, bit confused why there isn't a 'one use per customer' line on the page: that would not raise expectations as leaving it out does. But 'bit confused' is my everyday state.
The conditions on the coupons already state "* Items must be in cart simultaneously for discount to apply. Excludes New Releases, PC+ Items, Gift Cards and any Items in the 99¢ Sale." How hard is it to just add 'useable once per customer' to that list, if that is the intended behaviour?
Daz is thanking you much more than you are thanking them.
Since it still hasn't been done despite the flurry of postings last night and my original post the night before, apparently It's either very hard or the information hasn't rolled back far enough uphill to make it happen.
Since we are asking for stuff... how about "Useable only once per customer," "Usable once per day" and "Coupon good until (Date)" so that we can decide how we wish to use the coupon. That way we can skip buying things on the first day and wishing we had waited to buy everything on day 2 or 3 or 7? I liked it better when there was a new sale and coupon only advertised one time... now we are getting the word "final" thrown in when the sale is going to go on for multiple days... and coupons that are only good for 1 time and presented multiple days without any indication that they are part of an old sale page. For example, I thought that the coupon today was new until I came here and saw that it was the same as yesterday. Hope I explained what I mean clearly... it is rather confusing...
If I knew what was happening, I'd move on and might buy something else; currently I'm waiting to see if it is useable more than once, which is resulting in zero cash for Daz.
There is always another sale; it always to a customer's advantage to wait. Daz never benefits from that.
So if it's ambiguous, or I can't decide because the water isn't wet enough, or the day isn't long enough, my default choice is always wait.
Maybe, maybe not. Remember that exactly the same phrasing was used on the $2.99 offer (that didn't work for who-knows-how-many people) that was running every day over the entire holiday period.
Not working as intended is different to no idea if it's working or not as intended.
But as far as we know now, it could still be either. Chris' last answer indicated that he still didn't know, and by not putting a specific disclaimer to that effect in the now plural ads when there ARE other discliamers attached would normally indicate that it's NOT a limited promotion.
