I hear you. That's why I'm so grateful for the Daz Deals Browser Add-on, since it has the option to generate an email when there is a new promo. At least then I have a rough idea of when the promo should end (baring those events like 4 hour flash sales that run for 12 or more hours).
The flash sales alert thread can help too, though of course someone needs to post there so the alert may not be exactly at the beginning of the sale.
Why am I "lucky" to only want 1 item from each flash sale? :(

Daz definitely saw me coming with the latest blink sale, because the first thing I did was check to see if I could double-dip on Fawna and Satyrn. No dice this time.
I don't think a discount is applying properly to one of the items:
Item is originally at 66% (corresponding to 40% off)
With a new release in cart it should add 10%.
I also have the 15% off coupon applied, and the Iray offer for 20% more.
I am sure all that doesn't add up to just 76%.
In am not sure if the first 10% from 66% should go to 76% or70%, not sure if it's 10% of already what it is or additional 10% but even if it is only additional 10%
it would mean 34*0.9(10%)*0.85(15 from coupon)*0.8(20% from IRAY offer) =~21% which would mean that the discount should be around 79%.
If that one is not calculated properly, who knows what else is not, I have a lot in the cart(24 items), I don't want to manually calculate all my discounts.
Also, how is the Buy Sue Character and Hair for Genesis 8 Female to get $10 WORTH* of Select Daz Originals FREE offer calculated?
Is the 10$ deducted at the beginning or after other % discounts apply?
As I was at work all day, I did not have access to my personal email, which is where my notifications go. I was hoping for a combination sale tonight to be able to get a second chance, but looks like I am out of luck. Another emptied cart and another coupon waves goodbye...
Has anyone been able to use more than one of the flash sale codes yet?
I have four items in my cart and the PRETTY-DECENT discount applied properly. So you're asking if you can use a second code for a second purchase?
Seems it works with the second code for 10% on three items.
It's a bit difficult to follow this since you seem to be working with various discounts.
I don't know how, or if, the Buy Sue Character offer works if you're trying to use other discount deals to it.
Since my cart was so big, it didn't all have room in one screenshot.
In the end I just removed the items that I wasn't sure about. After several tests it was clear that the offer that didn't work was the extra 10% with new release.
Some discount was applied with Sue as well but not sure how.
I tried all combinations I could think of and couldn't figure out what applied and in what order.
It would be nice if Daz would keep to the advertised times for offers.
The Lyoness Blink sale is still up after a lot more hours. We can never count on what they advertise, we never know when something is going to change.
And the Blink sale is STILL being advertised. Seriously, if you can't organized for the banners to be removed when the sale is over, and will not honor sales when the banner is displayed but no longer valid, at least PUT THE TIME ON IT.
Perhaps we should start billing DAZ for time wasted on expired but still advertised sales.
It doesn’t appear anymore for me. The problem is that the cache obviously doesn't refresh at the same time for everybody.
Not that I disagree about displaying sale end dates, though...
Yes, I think sales end dates would be perfect.
I once wasted like an hour to make a perfect cart just for the offer to expire before I finished...
If I had known I either would have hurried along or not have bothered.
After a few experiences like that I rarely bother with flash sales, unless I see when they start.
And seeing when they start is a pretty poor marker, due to the same caching issues we have with when they end. Sometimes the shorter flash sales are OVER BEFORE I first see the banner.
Wow, that never happened to me, but yea, they should just state hours on them, no idea why it's so hard.
What I noticed is that they are starting to learn to describe discounts. I noticed in the poses offer that it's 60% with 20% extra and it is also advertised as up to 68%. That is a nice and welcome addition.
I feel like the title of this thread describes this perfectly. There are so many bugged sales or sales with bad timing or that annoys us that the only way to not get too dissapointed in Daz3D is to think that there is always a new sale just around the corner.
The standard DAZ shopping sequence for me:
1) Check this thread to see what isn't working first.
2) Try to go shopping.
3) Return to this thread to report what else isn't working.
That really doesn't bode well, does it?
There is a glitch in the "SOMETIMES YOU'VE GOT TO FIGHT" offer.
"Buy 3 or more Select Poses and Animations to get an EXTRA 20% OFF them" works only without a new release in the cart.
With a new release, the "Buy any New Release to get 60% OFF Daz Originals" replaces it.
Edit: I should have read more carefully: 60% off Daz Originals, not 60% off Select Poses and Animations.
I used the PRETTY-DECENT coupon on it and it was applied before the $10 was deducted.
A gift card sale today; plus it has been quite awhile since we got a major character. So, I suspect there will be one this week. Will it be another Genesis 8 or the begining of Genesis 9? What is your guess?
Well, we did just recently have a DS update as well...
I would be very surprised if it were the beginning of G9, since I thought there were more spotted G8 characters that have yet to be released.
Anyone else getting failed links?
It seems lately every 3 or 4 links I click, one of them takes me to the main page instead. If I open it a second time, it opens the correct page. So it's not the links themselves that are failing, I'm not sure what is.
That happens from time to time, seems rather random and it doesn't affect everybody in the same way.
Until a few days ago I rarely had gotten a failed link but now, very often. It's gotten to the point where if I want to check multiple items and open them in new tabs, I have to check the tabs before I go to another page to see what didn't load properly.
I've foiund that if there is not a slash at the end of the URL, to add one seems to make it work, and vice versa...
That only works if the page gives you a 404 error. Sometimes that doesn't happen, but you get redirected to the main page, and the url gets rewritten to simply www.daz3d.com
And this is not the same issue as some products not having a url. These have the correct urls, but they get redirected anyway.
Is anyone else having issues with the Dog 8-related purple banner? Mine says it applies to "Featured New Releases," but only the "Dog Breed" new releases seem to work...
