Even the items marked as "legacy" are full price before you put them in the cart. However, the real weakest sale is the flash sale that requires four items to get the pitiful 15% maximum discount.
If you stack three or more of the current Blink sale itesm with the 15% coupon, the cummulative discount is 73%. Likewise, if you have one of today's items and put four or more of the67% off items in and add the a5%, it goes to 72% off.
72% for a legacy items seems like a lot. Those items are very old...
And you need to buy a new item to get that 67% in the first place...
The coupons is an additional discount to other sales, so it's ok in my book. You can even combine it with fast grab or pc+ items. I guess it's kind of an alternative to the 20% discount we had for the 2.20 pc+ items for a day that finally ended after a week or something like that.
A lot of animals in this one though. I've currently got a bunch of Noggin's critters in my cart that are unlikely to ever be duplicated in newer formats like the iguana, mallard, dove (pigeon). cow and peacock, as well as some AMs like the Koala. As far as new items, you can get the DO outfit for about 60% off if you just want something cheap. My guess is that there are going to be a couple more blink sales, hence the multiple coupon gimmick, so buy any other item you want first and save the texture set for last.
I just realized that if you use the IRAY offer (20% in case you haven't used it yet) together with the 15% coupon, it's a decent discount for other offers.
If I did want those animals, with all the discount they would have been a pretty good deal.
Any clues if the 15% coupon will last more than a day? Has a flash sale ever lasted that long?
It's funny I can get a shopping cart of 19 items with an average discount of 82% but there's nothing I really want in there. Just so and so items for me that I probably won't use any time soon.
Also just found that a bunch of the Design Anvil items are in both blink and daily sales, so they're stacking at up to 91% off. :)
I tend to experience a sort of floodgate effect. Take the current blink sale, for example: there are plenty of things by those vendors, and the discount is quite good, but there’s nothing I currently “need”. Still, I might pick out one item, thinking “ok, this one might be worth it”, and from there it’s just a cascade of might-as-wells until I’m spending $100+.
Same for me. I am always curious what kind of discounts I can get and start picking up items from each offer and combining them for good discounts. Although there's rarely something I need. And most of the times the items in my wishlist aren't discounted enough.
That's how I got to the current situation. I might be ok with the Iray items, I am not so good with lights so any presets are good for me but since they come with a 20% discount on the whole carty I would hate spending it on something I don't need.
What are daily sales and how can you see which items are in both?
Daily sales are whatever offers you get for a given day. There's no automatic way to see if items or vendors are part of several sales, you'll need to check yourself.
And it's gone...
They were, but suddenly they are not, at least for me
Ha! I bought them just in time, then.
I checked his items also before you guys said they were in the daily offer and I didn't see them. Maybe they added them by mistake afterwards and took them out as well.
Too bad, he has some nice environments.
Or not, since I must have hit the order button right when the sale was ending, so the price I agreed to is not what I was charged. Submitted a ticket.
Oh, rub it in, LOL. Actually, it looks bizarre, like it's an either-or....I have three DA items in my cart, one is at 67% off, two are at 60% off
That's what happens when you post about unintended bargains.
And it's the Daily ad discount that's stopped working because they pulled them from their rather than the blink sale. I had a price and the cart shot up 50 bucks literally as I was checking out. Fortunately I took a snapshopt of those items with the both discounts applied, so I'm sending it to Customer service and asking for either the full discount or a full refund.
Hey, don't blame me....I only posted after they disappeared.
Nope, not blaming you; just using your post to point out the result.
Again, it was AFTER the problem. Sheesh.
I am not sure if unintended bargains are really hurting them though. Most stuff I buy at a very discounted price, like I would have probably bought his items, I would have never bought in any other situation.
So they are not getting too much money from me, but they would be getting 0 money from me otherwise. So they still win something.
dForce Lilia Clothing Set Textures 66031 has the WRONG COVER Photo.
They "corrected" that really quickly, unlike the carousel of despair that was their Christmas-New Years sale, lol.
...and now a bunch of the Design Anvil items were pulled from the Blink sale... doubling the price of my cart. All the dragons, it seems. Well, the 'dump' button still works just fine. :-(
That's probably because that blink sale just ended about 10 minutes ago.
Yeah, funny how that works...
It's been reported several times now, though at least they fixed the price. One wonders how something that glaringly obvious gets through QC.
Unfortunately, there's no way to know when the banner is still up if it's an artifact, as there are no times as guidelines. Thought maybe it was a lunch-hour promotion :-) Half the cart was on sale, the other half suddenly wasn't. C'est la vie.
I checked out despite the issue as I was worried that the rest of the blink sale would go away and just put in for either a full or partial refund. Fortunately, I have a screengrab of the actual prices being offered, so DAZ gets a choice of giving me back fifty bucks or thirty.
Yesh, stupid me, I shouldn't have posted it, but you would think that someone would have noticed that they were running a blink sale on an artist who also had a bunch of older product in the other sale, given that it literally takes two seconds to run a list by vendor and another few to cross check even if you're doing it manually.
