Another thing... there are a lot of good/old props that only work in Poser. You PA's want to make money? Convert them to work in Daz Studio!

Animals, for sure.  All kinds of animals, real and imaginary!  I don't want to have to go somewhere else to buy birds or dinosaurs or mythical creatures, I prefer to shop here as often as possible, it's just more convenient.

And it's totally not mean, I do buy animals in other places, but I've noticed many animals in various locations... are a bit basic compared to what I'd like to see.

The newest dinosaurs in Daz store are amazing, and I really wish the market supported like 200x as many! Hahahaha

Less female models and more of everything else... clothing sets from a variety of eras for both male and females, whole environment and prop sets from a variety of eras as well.

Let's see, how about more mythical creatures, an owl that comes in different species and fantasy varieties.

A dForce tie that drapes like a real tie would be very useful - for male and female characters. I've not found any, so far, that works when the character is not vertical.

And animals, of course, real or otherwise (as long as they can wear ties)

@ otherunicorn: I hear you on the space suits.  This is also my issue with what is supposed to be futuristic armour as well as some of the "cyberpunk"stuff I see.  I am involved with a role play game (Shadowrun), and no self respecting runner would ever think of going out to seedy parts of sprawl, the barrens, a secure facility, or even a meet with the Johnson who's ;looking to hire a team without wearing appropriate protection.  Yeah, in the game there is armoured clothing so one can use regular clothing content but it needs to cover all the vital targets.  Going into a potential firefight with a bare belly is just asking for a gut shot which, with ammo like AP and explosive rounds easily available, is usually fatal.  Crikey even a narco dart gun or capsule round with a DMSO/toxin or drug "cocktail" can take someone down as the lower torso is the easiest target to hit.

     living chess pieces,

I've got you covered there wink

(Daz even responded with 'looks interesting, tell us more about this, that, and your other' - I replied but that was a week ago...I'm beginning to think they changed their minds...)

As for other stuff  - wish cyberpunk+steampunk+magipunk were more popular (though there's stuff around that fits for kit-bashing).

    +1

External Render engines. I would love to see a quality plugin for AMD ProRender, but we do have Octane for free now. I think a plugin for ProRender that did a really good job of shader conversion would be hugely popular since like Octane, it's not limited to the memory in your GPU (I'd be equally happy if Otoy improved the shader conversion for the Octane plugin).

Remakes of classic V4 and M4 clothing with dForce and better textures.

  • Loch Ness "Monster" with kilt, bagpipe etc. Toon and monster-type style.

Manatees. Also toon and monster style. (I don't get why a US-based company does not have a manatee; yes I also know that DAZ is located in Utah, which might not have the biggest manatee population).

More MMORPG styled mounts or someway to use various animals as mounts-> saddle etc (I don't know what the english word(s) is for the headgear.

Obvi. the above should come with various morphs poses textures.

3DL materials, as in settings for content but also 3DL shader packs.

    Sensible footwear on female items.

    Steampunk clothes and sets.

A mall with lot of shops. Every shop should be accessible. And of course also the exterior of the mall

  • Ooohhhhh, I second the fully accessible mall interior and exterior, that would be amazing!

What might be kind of fun too is to have parts of cities. Like Hollywood Boulevard in LA, Bourbon Street, or like Wrigleyville in Chicago. Obviously copyright stuff would have to be altered, but being able to have scenes set in a known location could really add more depth to scenes.

    1) Streets of Tuscany 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Stonemason's Village Courtyard / Streets ofTuscany sets have done very well (if the galleries are anything to go by) so more sets from this universe would be most welcome.

    2) A red panda (with decent fur). The cutest cute little furry animal in the known universe.  Alessandro Mastronadi had one on his to-do list a few years ago but nothing seems to have happened.

    3) You can never have too many floor length historical and fantasy gowns. The bigger and more elaborate the better.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

High heels, so there'd be less complaining about the occasional high heels here.

Male clothing done to the same standards as the women get.

Animals! Especially the most common pet in the U.S- domestic housecat. More breeds for dog 8

Edit to say: and more shader packs of elegant and or ethnic fabrics.

Male clothing that is appropriate in a real-world office/business/school/casual/blue-collar/first responders/military settings for all seasons: all ages. (I would also like more for women, where I wouldn't have to tell them, they just violated the dress code as well, or they are at risk of being chewed up by a machine, or break an ankle.) Oh yeah, stop with the neon glow effect on 'stealth' 'sci-fi' 'military' clothes for women especially, that is a target focus only. I don't buy them at all, and generally make a hard pass on those PAs' work.

Age appropriate clothes for Teens, Pre-teens, Elementary ages.

Peasant or working class historical clothing. I buy what I can find in the store. But, it would be nice to have a broader spectrum, for other cultures: China, Japan, Korea, India, Africa, North-Central-Southern American First Nation Peoples, Australia, New Zealand...

Also would love more characters that represent those cultures that have not been seen that much.

Would really like some extreme cold clothing that men and women could wear hiking, camping, or just walking down a street when it is 20 degrees F and the wind is 40 mph, and there is ice and snow on the sidewalks still.

Now take those ideas, and forecaste where we might be in 50, 100, 200 years in styles, by looking back at how we changed the past 50, 100, 200 years in our history of clothing design and technology.

Kitchens that are designed that can actually be cooked in. That pay attention to cooking work flow, storage, and counters near refrigerators, stoves, sinks; instead of shoving everything together and leaving the refrigerator to occupy a wall by itself.

Same for a bathroom. Who wants a toilet without a cupboard next to it for necessities? And a place to lay down your cellphone, magazine, drink, or whatever? And a trash can next to it. And bathroom sinks should have counter space! Unless you are in a 5 x 8 tiny bathroom with no space for a decent layout.

    More critters.

Sci-Fi sets that also forecast where a real home, city might evolve from where we are now. How can the Green concepts change our daily lives and homes and transportation?

chihuahuas. Applehead, deer head, all colors!  Mutts too. Small dogs rock.

Baby things, baby carriers, back packs, a....and yes a baby with its own base.

food. I am really into 3D food, but man we need some mid stage cooked foods. Cooked carrots, potatoes, half eaten food. Food on forks, on plates poses with silverware etc.

To add to the men’s clothing requests, I would add men’s collars to look more realistic. Also a fantastic looking tuxedo, men’s club wear, more men’s underwear.

Small vignette environments like the killzone products.

A good touring motorcycle fully dressed out (all the bells and whistles) similar to a Honda Goldwing 1800.

On a off note some really good looking insects bad, good and even gross ( like cockroaches for those dark, dirty places).

I've given up on the everyday clothing and footwear but I still have hope laugh

Actually, I suspect that a lot of the DAZ advertising text is written by manatees.  It would explain a lot.

Yeah... especially those old Poser creatures.  They got a lot of flak about how horrible they were when they were brand new freebies at Content Paradise in the pre-Smith Micro days.  Seeing them in the store at Rendo now is just really weird.

Oh, and something I really wish was more popular - add-ons for TerraDome 3. It's such a great and versatile concept and I'd love to see more expansions like an aquadome 3 similar to the one made for the old poser TerraDomes, but I can't remember the last time a new add on was released.

Well, I COULD point out that Pteranodons were petrosaurs, not dinosaurs, but that's just dino-snobbery.  Other than that, this is so true.  Dinoraul seems to go off on tangents like making only prehistoric plants or fantasy creatures for months on end, HH seems determinded to cannabalize his own T-Rex sales and most of the other dinomakers have disappeared.

Actually, what would be really cool would be a couple of basic Genesis-style bases for the classic prehistoric reptile archetypes that other artists and users could then modify into their own original creations. That way we could have really realistic stuff AND recreations of fun things like Rodan, Gorgo and whatever you happen to think the Loch Ness monster should look like...

    more mythological creatures.

i've been hoping for a good simugh or a manticore for dog years...

it also seems like someone who knew what they were doing with the new dforce hair/fur might be whip up some realistic feathers for winged beasties...and people, perhaps.

    hope springs eternal.  :)

has anyone else ever been bothered about calling an animal that was originally bred for food an "applehead"?  It makes me wonder what those chihuahua breaders are really up to... and why those dogs always look so nervous.

No reduction in female items while all these are made and released.

"... Things not thought of by anyone yet."

George is an excellent example, although I'm not restricting it to variations of what we've had, but saying, thinking outside the box when it comes to what we've had is just as valid as thinking of something completely different.
