And we have a reply from Daz,   and do remember that is 03:45 there,  so we got him out of bed.

I do understand that but as a company whose customer base is world wide that isn't really relavant if they want to continue to make money from those customers. I find that this attitude that we should be grateful to be able to spend our money slightly bizarre.

No ones asking for gratitude, just some patience please while the issue is being resolved.

Then why not just ask, instead of making a comment that implies we have put someone out because we want to spend money.

I took Choholes reply to mean exactly that - it's 3.45am so please bear with them while they wake up and fix the issue.

I didn't - and why does it need to be said every time this happens.

Exactly   I know that if I was woken up at unearthly hours to fix a problem it did take me a while to get my brain sorted and start sorting things through.

I tell "ee,   when I retired I couldn't hand that company cell phone back quick enough.

Ron's stuff is only showing at 50% off instead of 70%, yeah. Been like that for a while, since the sale started...uh, about 5 hours ago I think?

I've dumped his stuff out of my cart as I want to check out, and I really don't want to feel responsible for getting someone out of bed again, I'm Deviney will understand the lost sales.

Don't blame ya. It gets quite ridiculous.

The sale clearly advertises deviney at 70% off - and the simple fact is, they are NOT 70% off. "Errors" like this need to be fixed immediatly - because after five hours of advertising a certain catalogue/product at one price, and then not having that at the advertised price, you're now in the realm of false advertising. Simple.

  • Same here. The add to cart buttons don't work in IE 11 and I am on Windows 10 Pro; but they do work in Chrome and MS Edge.

While i was checking this out, I found another strange thing when usng MS Edge -- the main forums landing page page is a blank grey with no list of the forums. But it appears correctly in Chrome and IE 11.

    Edit to add screen shot:

Daz has indetified, and fixed on the main page and today's promo pages, the add to cart issue with IE 11. Other pages will update overnight. Note that you may need to clear your history to get the updated code.

Cleared cache and history and did a hard refresh. In MS Edge the main forum landing page is still grey with no lists (as above).

The most of Deviney items (112 of 117) are in The Dollar Sale Continues (50% off)

Are you implying that Daz pay their staff very low wages.

That would be a different issue, the one I said was fixed was adding to cart in IE 11. Are you still seeing this? If you refreshed when the site was having major speed issues I could understand a blank page on hard refresh, butt hat was resolved by the time you posted.

Yes. It's still the same blank grey page. This only happens in MS Edge browser. It works ok in IE 11 and Chrome

That's very odd as the current Edge uses the same codebase as Chrome. I have been corrected - Edge is still a distinct codebase at thos time. It still could be that something is corrupt (cookie, cache) in the Edge files.

Well, I did clear cookies, cache and history without any improvement..  Also, it is only the one main landing page for the forums. Other forum pages show up OK by using the search function; but without the main landing page navigating is virtually impossible.

Having users worldwide doesn't always mean you have 24/7 support. In fact that's rarely the case, especially for small companies like Daz.

No, I'm saying that you can't expect huge discounts on already low prices and top service at the same time.

I don't expect top service just service and a working store, and not to have to feel grateful for that.

There's no mention of what render engine those shaders are for anywhere on the product description or promo pics.

The What's Included mentions Roughness texture maps; only Iray has a Roughness parameter.

It also mentions "Base color" instead of Diffuse, (which I mentioned earlier in the thread.) But the point is, customers shouldn't have to decrypt the texture types, or go looking for the Read Me to find out if a product is specifically for Iray or 3Delight.

When it comes to product descriptions, less is not more. (General observation, not directed at any PA or forum member.)

I think a lot of people overestimate the size of the staff. But okay, no more talk about it.

How about them snowflakes. Are there many of them where you live? Dude I thought I was in the Complaining thread. Didn't mean to go off topic like that! Sorry.

Just to report over here - it looks like Daz is passing out Fluidos version 1 serial numbers for version 2 - and they don't work.
