If you still have that scene saved to re render i would try adding in a few yellowish/orange lights where the flame would be shining on in the scene, probably as spotlights, have a couple just barley hit its face and under him and hitting that prop thing he's standing by,or where ever you want them keep them around 20-30 brightness.
and then get one spot that is over 9̶0̶0̶0̶ 100 probably 115 yellowish and set that behind him angled just so that it lights up the edge of the dragon.
and also with the post work flame i would make two copies on separate layers and slightly blur the bottom layers flame, and set the top layers flame to overlay (or just experiment with what looks best to you.
mind you that is more than likely not the right way to do it, that's just the way that i do lol.
Sounds like a plan!

...oy, been out of touch here for a while. Lost my Net service from home and could only get online at hotspots for the last couple months. Put a real dent in things
However some good news (finally). After fifteen months am back among the working class again. First order of business with my first paycheque last Friday as to reinstate my net service from home. With five Fridays this month, will have a total of three paycheques so ill be caught up financially by November.
Seems the reminder bots for this thread thought I was dead & buried, not sure ho many pages have gone by and ill try to catch up on them later.
...may as well leave a pic or two while I'm here.
This one came from an RPG campaign I've been in. Lots of playing around with the new Advanced lights and Volume camera.
I like to call it Raiders of the "Not So Lost" Ark
...and yes, it is in a very very safe place.
..and the second.
Same RPG campaign, same characters, several sessions later after an interesting twist that is a story in and of itself. during which my little Bekka (the dark hared girl) became Da"Boss" of da Big City.
Kind of sort of a bit like Westworld meets A Piece of the Action(ST TOS).
...and Bekka had both the charm and chutzpah (as well as an excellent skill in haggling) to pull it off.

Thanks a lot for sharing the tips, Dire Bunny. I will see what I can do with them.
Great, that you got a job, Kyoto Kid. Hope to see more of your images, then. You have nice volumetrics on the first image.
Heyyy,
Welcome back! So glad indeed to hear you have a job now and sound to be getting back on track. Other projects have been keeping me away from Daz and, thanks to a few disasters, they've tied me up longer than I would have liked. The rate I'm going it'll be 2015 before I'm back in the saddle again. I know, I spent all that time building this computer and then haven't done any of what I built it for.
I hate having unfinished business though, so, until that is all taken care of...
CHEERS!
I have to get up early so i should be sleeping right now so i did this instead.
....nice though I always wondered if characters with that particular hairstyle got good radio reception.
Who needs sleep!?
Great render
CHEERS!
Really nice composition, Dire Bunny.
They get lousy reception. She sat down to listen to nights with Alice Cooper, cocked her head, couldn't get any reception at all, and well you seen what happens next.
I think it's time she invested in SiriusXM
...one fairly goofy "Realistic....NOT" pic I did for last month's RRRR challenge (which I unfortunately just missed the deadline for).
Somewhere in a far off land, where the frozen peaks touch the sky, lives a band of fierce and hearty warrior maidens known as the Zamboni Sisterhood. Don’t let their demure appearance fool you as they are cunning, crafty, and ever ready to face off against even the mightiest of opponents who dares set foot on their home ice. The full strength of their numbers is a closely guarded secret and they are able to stand strong against even the most formidable power play for what they are entrusted to protect - the most holy of relics, worshiped by to all who are loyal followers to the greatest of all winter contests.
They are The Guardians of the Sacred Cup.
keeping with the same character,i did this one for my Fb page header.
Most of the background and other postwork stuff was actually just pictures i took of my computer fan lights in the dark, and a picture taken out the window when it was raining at night .
Been a while
Please remember the DAZ 3D Forum ToS
Playing with colors...
Great stuff folks!
As always you lot get prolific when the notification bots go AWOL. @Artini: What were the lights in that scene?
CHEERS!
I have used parts for the scene from http://www.daz3d.com/i13-expose-pin-up-set
but lights was probably from DM's Art Infinity from Renderosity.
Mei Lin ...
She looks brilliant! If those are the same lights then I've definitely got to get them.
CHEERS!
Thanks. But no, in the scene with Mei Lin, I have used promo lights from
http://www.daz3d.com/zev0/skin-builder-for-genesis-and-genesis2-female-s
Min_Seo http://www.daz3d.com/min-seo rendered with lights from
http://www.daz3d.com/light-up-the-dark-daz-studio-lights
Thanks,
All great lights. I'll have some catching up to do!
CHEERS!
Here's a couple I did for last month's Carrara challenge, which was hosted by dustrider. The theme was a take off on the Naked Vicky In A Temple With A Sword type render, except that the subject, props and locations were left up to the entrant. So for instance, one of my entries was Vicky On A Zeppelin With A Puppet, and my other entry was Cheesecake In A Studio With A Nearly Nekkid Vicky.
Both of these use the procedural skin shader from a few posts back. No image maps!
The other entrants all had very cool and unique takes on the challenge. Here's the submissions thread:

SukyL won the challenge and it was her first time entering! She is currently hosting this month's challenge:

Even if you don't use Carrara, there are some good posts in there about postwork and lighting.
Lucky old Kermit, so long as Miss Piggy doesn't find out! "HIIIIIYAA!!"
CHEERS!
That's not Kermit the Frog, it's Hermit the Amphibian. You think I need Henson's estate and Disney breathing down my neck? ;-)
Simple shape, surprisingly weird to rig. Probably due to my lack of modeling skill and being out of practice rigging.
LOL!
That was why I never called any of my old morphs by their proper names.
CHEERS!
Playing around with http://www.daz3d.com/metalized-glass-shaders-for-daz-studio
On first image I have used: http://www.daz3d.com/sphere-of-light-enviroment-lighting
and on the second: http://www.daz3d.com/dimensiontheory/advanced-light-presets-for-aoa-s-lights
... and the second version ...
Yeah, nice effects.
