I guess its part of my evolution as I keep at it. Lux does make it easier R3 for Ds should be out anytime now and will be cheap since I just need to upgrade.

I shall endeavour to evolve myself. There's Luxus and those Dreamlight products that I want to try out.

Another try. This time using http://www.daz3d.com/bwc-skies-2
I have no idea, that Sedor are making such a nice skies/lights, because I've seen mostly his poses sets.

    Very nice!

Now I've got a faster PC with more memory, I'm guessing lights that aren't from AOA won't hamper render times as much as they once might have.

Thanks. One more close up render, with mirror reflective material, so one can see the clouds...

Gone Cutie Pie mad recently. I just can't get enough of these gorgeous drape morphs on the dress. They give such a wonderfully realistic appearance without the issues of dynamic clothing.

Hmmmm.... Not sure why I never get e-mails when this thread has new responses...

I meant to update my Carrara procedural skin shader progress. I'm done with it, and I think it looks pretty nice. If anybody has Carrara, they're more than welcome to DL it and experiment with it however they wish.

I've also included dynamic hair eyelashes and eyebrows. They're built on a V4 mesh, so they'll only work on a V4, A4, G4 or some other V4 variant.

The email thing will always be an eternal mystery, and it's always been a bit hit and miss. It was actually Carrara that got me into all this in the first place. I found a copy of Carrara 5 on a coverdisc, only it had no content. I contacted Daz about it and they couldn't provide any as they'd just brought Carrara 6 out. Then I saw DS on the site and the rest is history!

My Carrara use started with C5. I also bought Transposer when a new version of D/S (1.x.x.) came out, and got a free V4.0 and some Basic wear. I could never get Transposer to work, and I hated the D/S interface and felt so limited by what it could do, having come from Reaydream. I would import the .obj mesh and rig and weight paint the models in C5 on my own. I did this video in C5 with Digital I's (think that's who made it) T-Rex and my own rig.

LOL! That's a good one! I did later get Cararra 5 Pro with content off a coverdisc, but, I could never get it to render DS scenes properly, so I stuck with DS for a while. Then I kept seeing good stuff being done in Poser and it wasn't till I found DSON limiting when it came to Genesis that I went back to DS. Now I wouldn't go back.

Hmm, there's something not quite natural about that lighting. What would the Render Sphere give you with that scene?

You got me, Rogerbee. I have overlaid 3 renders with different BWC skies in Gimp, and the image was a result.
It looks pretty nice to me, but you are right, it is not quite natural. Will need to experiment more.
I really would like to achieve that nice look for a car, one can see everywhere.

For me, the best outdoor lighting I've seen was LDP-R.

Not to sound stupid, but what does LDP-R stand for?

Here's some outdoor renders I did with a set I'm building- well actually been taking a hiatus from building. ;-)
