Actually a full and simple material zone models should be doable. I would combined smaller zones into larger ones similar to the V4 version.

I will make left and right morphs too.

    Cheers!

Nifty! Would that be done with UV switching?

Nope, this would be separate objects.

    Any news, Mr Wizard?

Well making the UV map line up with the V4 version is tedious! I have the front almost done, now I have to align the front and back so the seams match which is tedious. Then I have to do the tedious work of trying to match up the hands, feet and cowl to the V4 maps. Anyway, here is a picture of a V4 texture (Shimuzu's) to wet your appetite. You will notice there are some still some areas to tweak, (nip slip anyone?). Did I mention that this part was tedious?

I have run into a problem where the autofit causes issues with the head section. So when you try to activate a morph, say V6, the eye lashes distort the part covering the eyes! Haven't found a good work around yet. I can minimize but haven't eliminated it completely. More experimentation to be done.

Also came up with a list of features. Trying finalize this so I don't get further scope creep. I just have major morphs listed, there will probably be a few more but everything else is about set.

Female & Male (this would be 8 separate objects)
1- Full material zones (left and right zones)
    2 - Simple material zones
1- Full material zones, (left and right zones), with open front
2 - Simple material zones with open front

    Two UV versions
    Normal UV
    V4 UV's

    Morphs
    Batman
    Spiderman (2 versions)
Cowl - most of the V4 cowl morphs)
    Goggles

    Spandex chest
    Spandex behind
    Loosen arms (left & rt)
    Loosen legs (lft & rt)
    Loosen behind
    Loosen waist
    Shirt sleeve (lft & rt)
    Pant leg (left & rt)
    Jumpsuit
    WrinklesAbsBend (left & rt)
    WrinklesElbowBend (left & rt)
    WrinklesKneeBend (left & rt)

    Cheers!

Hard to find fault with those features. This is going to be an insta-buy.

    For me as well.

As for the lashes issue. There are a couple of things you could try.

First, try fixing it using the weight map brush to smooth that area out.

Second, Load up Genesis XX load your mask, make sure both are at the lowest resolution and export both to what ever program your using and smooth out the mesh there, bring it back in as a fix morph (you can set it to hidden).

Hadn't thought about weight maps, didn't know they affected auto-morphs. I will take a look at it.

Actually creating all the current head morphs in my modeling program would be the fall back position, (whether from scratch or fixing auto-generated morphs). The trouble is it doesn't help with future characters that are released. So my first goal is to find a fix that will work with the auto-morphs.

    Cheers!

I found that if your getting distortions then setting the edges of the masked area to red with a SLIGHT blend out might keep it from distorting but then you will have to check all the other morphs to make sure your mesh is morphing well with those as well.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Genesis Super Suit have this ability? What would a revamped cat suit offer? More for your time than anything I'm concerned with, I don't use the various skin-tight suits that currently exist.

The Catsuits for the Generation 3 were the most popular created so far. I'm glad to see it's happening for Genesis! Finally a suit I'll use!

I am hoping to upload the female version this week. However, to do this I will probably delete the polygons over this eyes as there is not a good way to solve the eye lash problem. The best solution would be if there was a way to exclude the eyelash polygons from autofit and smoothing but I confirmed with DAZ that currently this is not possible. I tried making various correction morphs but didn't get anything I was happy with.

Make a utility morph for g2f that moves her eyelashes to the center of her skull.

Now, that is a thought! People should bake the morph on the suit that they need then dial the lashes back in. I will give it a try.

    Thanks!

    Would this make her hair-brained?

Well, so far is doesn't work as the catsuit eyes move into the head with the morph. In hindsight should have expected it. Studio treats the eyelash morph like any other. I will look at it a little more as I really would like to keep the eye covers but I want it to work with the features in Studio so the suit will fully support future Genesis 2 based characters.

So not hair brained yet ;)

Can't you make a slight bulge morph for that area of the mask to correct this?

So have tried variations of this but haven't gotten anything I am happy with. Maybe I am to critical. Plus auto morphing screws up the full face mask morphs too. Easy way is just delete the polygons over the eyes but I am trying to avoid taking the easy way out. However, it is getting to the point were I think I am spending too much time on it. So not sure what I am going to do.

    Try this:

    1) Take your cat suit and conform it to an unmorphed g2f
    2) Load your eyelashes-be-gone morph into g2f
    3) Dial it in
    4) Outside of studio, make a copy of your catsuit geometry and give it the same name as your eyelashes be gone morph
    5) Use morph loader pro to load that into the suit and set overwrite existing to "deltas only" (you'll have to undial and redial the morph to see the change take effect)
    6) Save out that new morph asset for your catsuit

This should undo what's going wrong with the catsuit eyes as caused by the eyelashesbegone morph.

This wouldn't work as you have it outlined. MorphLoader will only load deltas. Doing as described there is not delta to load as the copy of the suit is the same as what is loaded. I could change the eye covers ever so slightly so that MorphLoader has a delta to load and thus replace the morph created by the hide eyelash morph.

The other way is to save the suit in Studio then hack the morph file so all the deltas are zero for the hide eye lash morph. With the eyelash polygons out of the way smoothing modifier should work better. So this is worth a try, thanks!

    Cheers!

They will be deltas if loaded against the unwanted eyeball suck morph.

Or, roflcopter, you could just disable autofollow on the lashesbegone morph.

That would be more simple and elegant

So it looks like I can make the eye morphs work so I will be keeping the eye cover polygons. Spent several hours making the presets for the face/cowl. Currently up to 69 and there are other combos but this seems like a good number to stop out. Now on to the body presets.

Some of you may recognize the influence of The Ultimate Warrior in some of the presets ;)

    Cheers!

So cranked out around 60 presets for the bodysuit portion. Still a lot more combinations and so figured I should leave some for you ;)

Also working on a few color combination presets just for fun.

March would be doubtful. Still a bunch of little things to do for example I have to individually test the 120+ presets I have created to make sure they work as expected. Talk about tedious!

    Cheers!

If this had been available when Genesis 2 launched, it would have saved me a lot of money, money I spent on items trying to get the functionality this is going to have. Looking forward to it.
