You need an advocate. I, along with others, have suggested this several times, but you haven't acknowledged this, at least not to my memory. Because of that, I've kind of kept out of it. But you should know that there are people local to you who can help you. You seem to be very intelligent so I think you can probably find them if you can just motivate yourself into action.
And an advocate can probably work this advice for you too. I would not admit to anything that could be used against you, like a bad memory. You don't want anybody making it any harder for you to find safe and comfortable housing! I couldn't imagine living under your conditions, but I also can't imagine myself putting up with it. But knowing me, I'd probably end up running the place after six months.
I have a support team meeting tomorrow.
Make sure you have notes of all the stuff that you need to bring up to them.
Okay. I will do that while I clean my room and find my 16gb flash drive.
I was allowed to get my box. That is good, right?
edit I think I forgot to mention that the staff took a package I ordered and would not let me have it. The package has two shirts, a jacket, a backpack and a pair of shoes. The staff wants me to keep the shoes since I pretty much only got one pair of work shoes.
This is a little confusing to me. What is a "support team"? Is it the people who basically own you and tell you what to do now...is that the so-called support team? Or is it somebody (or more than one somebody) who is actually on your side (aka, an advocate for you and for nobody else)? You really really need somebody who is not going to have a conflict of interest with the people who run your house (or facility, etcetera).
A dear, dear friend of mine works for a state-run facility that serves as a home for people who cannot live on their own and who's families either don't exist or don't have the tools to care for them. Even my friend's facility has to follow the rules, some of them very strict and complicated, or the state can yank away their certifications! Her facility will retrain staff if warranted, and will fire them for serious infractions.
I don't know what kind of place you live in (and it's not my business either), but you should have an advocate on your side who can help you ensure that YOUR RIGHTS are not violated. If they are preventing you from enjoying your life, receiving your deliveries, coming and going as you please (as long as it's permissible under the rules that you agreed to), and keeping your food safe and secure, then you could possibly bring an abuse case forth.
In some states, it can result in criminal charges and even jail time. So THEY are at risk. But you need to do the right thing and find yourself a bullfighter who has been in this ring before, and won.
I wish you the best of luck. If you are the kind of person I think you are, then you deserve better. Much better.
That sounds like something a Liam Neeson character might say...
”If you are looking for a new employee... I can tell you I might not have the skills you are looking for... But what I do have are a very particular set of skills... skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. So just hire me now and that'll be the end of it.”
You wouldn’t happen to be an ex-CIA ninja assassin by any chance?
Complaint: I went to the dentist today and he poked around and found another old metal filling that is breaking up and needs to be replaced. (*foo*)
'Nother Complaint: I went to the podiatrist today, he didn't find anything wrong with the nerves in my feet (whew) but he did convince me to try a new (read that as "more expensive") set of shoe inserts to try to make my bad foot feel better.
I hope they're worth it.
Non-Complaint: On the radio before I went into the podiatrist's I heard this short piece from 1995 by karl Jenkins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1TX_w15_gH0 Featured in the DeBeers Diamonds TV commercial several years ago. I waited in the car at the podiatrist's parking lot until the song finished.
Here's a better recording of it: "Palladio" by Karl Jenkins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAEFmurII-A
More information about the song: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palladio_(Jenkins)
'Nother Non-complaint: I saw the latest "Avengers: End Game" movie today. It dragged in some spots but it had its good points and tied up loose ends but I'm past the stage of getting excited by superhero movies anymore.
My support team is not a team who owns me. It is a group of people who have my best interest in heart. The home staff and the landlady are not part of that support team per say. To my memory it is the home staff not the support team that I complain about.
Complaint I forgot to eat an evening snack, but now it is too late to get one as I am already in bed.
Good. Just checking, because reading posts in a forum is probably the least accurate way to really understand what is going on. Good luck to you and I hope your support team is truly effective and successful.
May Day!
Cinqo de Mayo parties soon
Where is my ride?
So Miss Bad Wolf have you had your meeting with your support team?
Oh yes. It went okay. It turned out they did most of the talking. I forgot what I was going to say.

I am wearing my new shoes today. Not sure if that is a complaint or a non-complaint. I should not have gotten them because I feel like they are expensive. Is fifty four dollars too expensive for shoes? I wonder if I could still return them even though I wore them only once?
54 about average now a days.
comfortable shoes usually more pricey.
imo italian shoes comfiest
I used to live in the Melbourne, Florida area where there is a broad river-like lagoon between the mainland and the strip of land that meets the ocean along most of the East coast of Florida. In the area between Cape Canaveral in the north and Melbourne in the south, there is a 30 mile long narrow island in the lagoon called Merritt Island. At the extreme southeren tip of the long narrow island is a private home where one of the previous owners had built a larger than lifesize dragon (35ft high, 65 foot long). Called the "Merritt Island Dragon" (duh) it could be seen by all boaters and the road drivers crossing the EauGallie Causway that linked the mainland with the coastland. Sometimes there were fires on the tip of the island near the mouth of the dragon. A few years ago (many now) it collapsed either from neglect, or weathering, or vandalism but regardless, it's gone now. However, memories and photos still remain.

Do you actually have that level of access to the system? Maybe you need a higher level IT person to do it.
