In all seriousness, I would be in favor of this. All around reasonable prices and no need to wait for the sale. I can't help but feel that the crazy sales are fueling an inflation on the regular prices... which (I would guess) no one ever pays anyway.
...looks like I'll be buying pretty much most items at at base 40% (unless there are other occasional deals) as pretty much most new releases (save for props and sets) tend to be for G8 and I already have more than enough invested in G3 for my needs. Even the PC+ freebies are going the G8 route (like the last two weekly ones). Making me wonder if I should renew my membership when it expires.
Remember that the real value of PC+ is the 30% off DOs and the coupons.
There seems to be a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth over what appears to be a flubbed first day of a sale. It's not the end of the world, and DAZ has made quick mid course corrections when things didn't go over well before "cough* snow ball sale *cough* So the sky probably isn't falling, there is a good month to go on this and let's see what happens on day 2.
I'm just glad I'm not the only one confused here.
...however it seems a larger and larger portion of the DOs have also moved to G8 as well as dFroce (which is a resource hog for my old system) and I tend to dial spin my own custom characters using appropriate figures as the base for them. I no longer can afford to dive full tilt into adopting yet another Genesis generation to get it to where i already have G3 at. True, I'm having to spend a great amount of time rebuilding all my characters after the HDD meltdown, but at least all the content I need for that has already been paid for and is compatible with Gen-X (which will no longer be updated) when I need to import certain morphs like toons and alien races.

Yep, but the sooner we let them know what we think is wrong, the sooner someone can get the goosing going. There's a reason for the old adage "squeaky wheel gets the grease" after all... because it's true.
I'd agree... except that then the only motivator DAZ seems to have found for getting people to buy stuff NOW is crazy sales. The Low Price everyday model works well with groceries and other consumables where people use up the item and have to keep buying more. It doesn't work so well with things like cars (RIP Saturn) or Department stores (JC Penny's disastrous experience being the best known example.)
As it is, I took the time to go back and look carefully at the products I bought during last year's March Mehness and figure I spent around $300.00 on products that I still haven't used in order to get better discounts on a lot of stuff that I would have got at even better prices if I'd been willing to wait a few months.
...[OT] Cybersox, I hear you on Saturn. A great model for building a vehicle and they were really nice basic reliable cars that did what they were supposed to do, get you from point A to point B. A friend of mine still has one and it hasn't given her a lick of trouble.

there's some pretty good discounts in the mad artist items, buy two and it's a pretty good discount on top of the already offered discount good time for pc+ members to use there pa discount coupon too
....yeah that's about the only part of the sale I'll be looking at as that is where I'll find items on my wishlist.
My "keys" are two G8 pro bundles (one at 66$, the other 94$, and I don't even bother with Pro Bundles) along with dForce Magnets (25$) which I have use for so no additional 10% on the Mad Artist items. There's also the Dante8 character showing in that same panel but he doesn't seem to trigger any discount, anywhere. Makes the "token" sales almost seem simpler.

I am not saying that Daz should end all gimmick sales forever, or that they should stop doings sales. Sales are indeed a way to create excitement, and it would be pretty dull if nothing ever went on sale, even if prices dropped over all as a result of that. I think the store would crash if they stopped all sales. But something really needs to change. Even the pro bundles are like week long sale a thons with all sorts of confusing things attached them.
But these gimmick sales are wearing me out, and perhaps other people as well. It takes so much effort just to shop at this store. How many of you guys have the Daz Deals add on? And why? You know why, because it helps you find the best deals that would be hard to find otherwise. I do not want to spend my down time trying to shop for deals. I want to spend my down time actually creating something with the items I might have purchased. Trying to figure out the Daz Math in these sales cuts into that time, and they change every single day.
Even Steam has largely done away with the silly gimmick sales they used to do. GOG used to do "Insomnia Sales", which drove people nuts because they had specials for 2 hours at a time...for days on end. If you snoozed, you lost out on that sale! Customer feedback eventually got them to end that practice. If Steam and GOG can do it, and continue to succeed like they have, Daz can tone things down a bit, too. You can certainly still do deep discounts, but I don't think Daz Math needs to be as involved.
March Mehness 2019... definitely a crowd pleaser so far.
Yep, sitting out this sale, until something more interesting happens. And no amount of arm twisting is going to get me to buy Landon or Tasha. I passed on them already, they don't interest me. Penalizing me for not having them in a subsequent sale just makes it worse. I was annoyed enough with the sales when I didn't grab Edward last year (when you didn't put PC+ memberships on sale for over a month), this isn't any better.
Hopefully SOMEONE out there is enjoying the deals. They just aren't deals I'm interested in at this point.
As for me, I guess I'll wait and see if something more interesting comes along. Day 1 is almost over, the day 2 discounts are about to be posted as I type this.
Day two and more of the same. The discounts, again, are insipid yet require us to spend big to get them. I'll wait until the offers get better, or go without.

...loaded the Cello in the card and the other of Protzoon's instruments I had on the wishlist as his store is on sale, only to find out all the included poses were only for G8. Bugger, as there is no pose converter for G8 to G3.

Zev0's G3 > G8 Pose Converter also includes a G8 > G3 Pose corrector; you use the G8 pose on G3, then use the corrector to put the arms and legs in the right place.

I kept my February coupon so I'll be able to use it on the March sale. We got about 35 days*9 items + 1-2 boundle so there is chance you will get something you will like. I think tommorrow there will be a tank or an aircraft (more props from the military hangar).
How are we supposed to know if we own a key item when only the key items we don't own are shown???

Check the sale without logging in? The key items are the same for everyone I think, but ask someone who knows it for 100%.
Someone said that you should try to buy Dante after the order you made today and you will be able to buy it on 70%.
