I stand corrected. I did likewise with my present cart and saved $2+ on two items each. So, the lesson is: Buy it now. Or not. You might save more. Maybe. Or not.
Well I hit my limit already at $50. I got the Faveral's Le Village Bundle, JoeQuick's Toon Boy and Toon Girl, and 3DU's Ostrich. I'm happy with that.
Thank you for working this out; I'm pretty annoyed to find this out, penalising early buyers is not a way to get happy customers.
I'm having issues with today's "offer"
I bought the Bridget 8 Pro Bundle a couple days ago. Does that mean I have to get a refund to be able to buy her again with the STILL MAD RELEASES to be able to get the $50 off? Because the amout is NOT applying on it's own
I have 2 STILL MAD RELEASES in my cart as well as some items from the special list of DOs but there's deffo NOT $50 being deducted!
The way MM in general has been run this year has been pretty awful, with constant "oh, that's not what we meant when we wrote the ad, let's just take that back," verbiage that often doesn't even make sense when actually applied, and now this. There have been only two saving graces of this March, one of which is that DAZ's main comnpetitor has turned out a regular series of massive 70% off sales that have kept my wallet busy. The second is that the way the sale has been run has finally made me see how much DAZ product I've bought in order to get discounts off prices that have skyrocketed over the last few years.... and much of that product, literally thousands of items, is stuff that I've never used since buying it. So thanks DAZ maketing department, you've convinced me that I've absolutely got to cut back on shopping for this stuff and spend more time actually using it.
This sale is punishing those who bought Bridget on the first day. Seriously, if this is not rectified, I’m returning everything. This is the most annoying sale ever! Can a mod please talk to sales/marketing and see if there’s a way to fix this for those who bought Bridget early?

The notes for this offer today state that if you go over $50 of DOs in the cart for whatever reason, the $50 offer doesn't work.
"Having MORE than $50 WORTH of these Featured Daz Originals will negate the offer." Could that be the problem why you're not seeing a discount/price reduction?

Actually having more than 50$ of qualifying items in the cart worked for me, I simply had to pay the difference.
But to answer the original question, the offer requires all the items in the cart at the same time, it won't work if you already have the pro bundle and try to buy the rest afterwards.
so, because I bought Bridget 8 Pro Bundle when she came out, I don't qualify for the discount??
I may be misunderstanding this, but the $50 off offer was there on day 1 as well for the Bridget 8 bundle. You can't use it twice.
You did qualify for the discount, right there on day 1, when you bought it.
I'm coming around to this as well, tho environments and utilities still get me ;)

@Ati The $50 off those items was not showing for me on the day I bought the BRidget 8 Pro Bundle, which I bought on it's own.
That offer was already available when you bought the bundle. Granted, there were less items to choose from in the "still new" category since it wasn't a catchup day, and related items were probably not the same.
This is the Bridget 8 promo page, it shows there now: https://www.daz3d.com/freckles-adorable-bridget-8 and when I saw it, which was about 2 hours after Daz midnight on the launch day, it was there. Maybe there was a previous version of the promo page without it? If so, I think it's best if you write to customer support, and I'm sure they'll sort it out.
Huh. Yesterday I'd actually had the tulips in my cart along with the Platinummy items I wanted but didn't get the 70%--and didn't realize it should be 70% off, because I didn't see your reply until now. :( I just tried with a couple of random Platinummys and it works. Oh, well. If there are new Platinummys tomorrow and it's still good I will get them then. Because I also love flowers.
IMO, the new figure releases should be kept separate from the event sales. The offer for buying a named release should be on a separate page and not change for the entire two weeks it's available, (like it used to be.) At least during an event sale, the free products should be one list of items from which you can choose a specifed number of products, rather than a dollar amount. (Remember when you got to choose older generation pro bundles? Like that.) On the new release sales page, the discounts for addons can just as easily mimic the rules for the event sale as be the New/Still New products in the event sale.
Trying to tie in the named figure release with whatever event sale is current, IMO, leads to the kind of confusion and disllusionment we're reading about in several of the posts before this one. I know Daz is just trying to make MM as exciting as possible, (because, let's face it, when the sale is fun and exciting, we buy more stuff!) However, when it comes to the named figure releases, a consistent offer that lasts for two weeks is the better option. Changing things up, as the event sales have been doing for the past year or so, can not only lead to hard feelings, it can train customers to "wait and see" if there is a better offer.
There are better ways to make MM truly mad, other than tying in the promotion for the named figure release to trigger additional, much bigger discounts. As for the "key" to an additional 10%, I see no problem with using the current named figure as a key, as long as it's not the only product to trigger that additional discount. There should be at least two "key" products, and as many as five.
To reiterate, the preceding paragraphs are only my opinion, and reflect the advice I would give Daz as a marketing consultant, if they were a client.
@miladyderyni_173d399f47, If the Tulips didn't get the 70% off in your cart yesterday, chances are good you hadn't purchased a Newly Mad Release or Still Mad Release in the previous three days. Also, the Tulips are no longer included in the 70% off section. Today, the only item is the Bridget 8 HD Addon.
Agreed. The "mad" part of the sale is making customers mad. Is any of this being relayed to the powers that be? Hopefully the helpful mods will let them know the "madness" is working the wrong way. And please ask them to add some sort of compensation to the people who purchased the Bridget Pro Bundle in the first two days. Thanks in advance to mods who can hopefully help us with this...

Well, it is a bit annoying; but what I did was to repurchase everything I had in my original order for Bridgette 8 Pro. I found I could now get three more items for my $50 worth of DO's for free; so I added those And I also added a couple of other items I wanted that I could now get at a better discount for purchasing Bridgette 8 Pro now instead of earlier. Since I was lucky enough to have enough available credit I went ahead and placed the order and requested a refund of the original order
I'm not prepared to try and sus that out and hope I have the funds availble. It will be much easier just to return everything I have purchased including and since Bridget and spend elsewhere; I am so fed up with this game of trying to work out if you are getting the discount you are intitled to or not.

I agree as well. Even a new prop or set would been preferable as a "Key" item instead of just an expensive pro bundle (plus two new related items) to trigger deeper discounts.
...and when you "wait and see" you often miss out on other deals.
Though if Cat 8, were introduced, that would have made a difference. Don't need another female figure bundle that includes other content I would rarely if ever use, but a new cat bundle with Poses, expanded Breed Morphs, Fur by Alessandro, and a cat related prop pr two, I would have snapped up in an instant.
So, mods, see? Can you please do your magic and relay our upset to the powers that be? We would all really appreciate it!
1. Everyone who purchased the Bridget Bundle during the first couple of days should get the same extra 20% off and extra 40% that everyone got today and the days since release. They could give us a special banner and link to those pages specifically for early buyers.This would include getting more bang for our buck for the $50 Daz Originals which are now cheaper for late buyers.
2. Keep Bundle deals the same throuhout the sale so early buyers are not getting worse deals than later buyers.
3. Add new 70% off deals daily for those who already own the old products.
4. Others feel free to add here...
We appreciate any help the mods can do. We know it's not your fault, but Daz needs to be aware of all the disgruntled customers and they may lose more money when people return purchases and start shopping elsewhere...

That's what I saw too, when I got Bridget 8.
And with all the other problems of other discounts not applying, I'm probably going to return everything I bought this MM in protest ... well. I better say no more or the mods will delete this post.
Update: I have requested a refund on everything in my Bridget 8 order, citing changes by Marketing as my reason. I might even buy it again, if I can get the correct discounts and offers to work.

The extra 20% was there on day 1, too, so it should be the same.
Was it? In any case all the items you can choose from have changed and the prices on Daz O's are better. Someone said they returned everything they purchased on the first day of release and re-purchased it and got a much better deal plus extra discounts on today's catch-up sale. I know I would have saved money on my earlier purchases and bought more today if I had today's deal then... For now, an empty cart until things improve... I might be done with this whole sale unless things are changed and drastically improved.
