No toilet but... https://www.daz3d.com/i13-future-visions-environment-and-poses/
Been there, done that. is fsking hateful. Especially when they want us up every couple of hours for muster. Because fsk us.
1986. What year were you there?
No toilet that you recognize. :) My favorite SF toilet prop is this one:
Transporter technology is an amazing thing. :)
1993. Not long before they shut it down for good.
I haven't been able to find any sets based on the southern Scandinavian archipelago, except for a very small island for sale on Rendo.
Just saw this thread great Idea!!! I'm taking notes.
Regarding Buckingham Palace, I was referring to the exterior. I just got Blenworth by Predatron recently, which looks awesome, kinda sorta looks like BP, and is reasonably priced (although I don't know what it sold for as a new product). As it was made before Iray, it doesn't have Iray materials. I could apply Iray Uberbase and specialized Iray materials like glass to all the windows etc., so I thought an Iray version of the exterior might be similar in scope and pricing to Blenworth. But now that I look at more images, there is that cool statue out front and the gardens! Not to mention 19 state rooms to visit!
I was there from November 88 to January 89... ugh, that is 30 years ago! I didn't realize until now
...I was hoping Anderson Hall along with The Library and Baroque Grandeur was the beginning of a "dream home" like English country manor. Yes, in the end it would be expensive but like the Dream home, purchasing it one segment at a time would make it easier than going to a pro site and dumping 150 - 200$ for a model that most likely needs to be manually converted to Daz format.(unless it is in .max format, then it is useless)..
Also, many of the pro sites often have very restritive licence terms which Daz does not.
..here is a scene I did using a two environments and a number of individual buildings to "build" a city setting. All of the buildings in the background were placed where i needed them (not part of a full complete set), some reduced in scale to give the impression of distance.
..Blenworth is based on the Waterloo Block in London which was originally a barracks for soldiers, hence it's "fortified" apperance.
I have used it for a couple images but it's style and layout does not match the interiors I have set scenes in for illustrations in the story I have been working on.
you need to add manor in big letters in your sigline
I am still as an Aussie confused to what you want, I already posted one kitbsh that was way off mark
if I had a better idea a duf scene is easy enough to share if I stick to DAZ content in expected pathways
i would love to see a two or three flat chicago apartment building - they are as chicago as the cubs and i've never seen a good replica of one anywhere (btw i'm in one right now).
also any type of modern townhouse,
I’d like oddly enough some vignette style environments featuring better looking ground. For renders from above. Something like a grassy field, a city alley, a beach.... too often the ground look highly unrealistic for closeups in a lot of sets.
Those sort of rocky barren outcrop islands, many for free, and your own 'randomly' creatable and exportable with the free Terrain Toolkit, are common at the Unity Asset Store. Also a few homes although i can't think of any of the typical white clapboard style there offhand. For that, Collective 3D or Dreamland models has some.
Yes, we had many of those in Little Village. My cousin lived across the street in one. They are so nicely interesting and distictive looking buildings.
What about some Paris eifel tower plattform details?
I would like to see this kind of japanese flats building; with as many fully modeled small apartments as posible.
Thank you! I did not know that Blenworth was based on a real building! Very cool. I just read about Waterloo Block now. This is fascinating, and I hope to visit London one day...
I mentioned this product too in response to Slosh and Jack, as I think they may have thought I was asking for the interior of Buckingham Palace. Jack has some amazing interior products, like Baroque Grandeur and the add-ons I bought and could use for interior scenes. Also, in my thinking that the size of Buckingham Palace might be a similar sized building and project as Blenworth, but what do I know?
Courtyard style apartment buildings too.
yes, that would be great.
i have this one from rendo. the interior layout is awful and unusable, but i love the exterior. has a great entrance too
...up in Milwaukee, these are very common, built in the 1950s and mostly found on the south and west side.
a pernese dragon weyr!!
The neighborhoods in Chicago are just covered in those.
...looking for something less castle/fortress like. Based on the interior sets I have, something more along these lines I feel is more fitting:
The uncompleted space atation in 2001: A Space Odyssey, in fine detail.
Wow!!! You did the Dream Home. I love it.
...I think I have all the Dream Home content now.
What would we need to kitbash these puppies?
@nonesuch00 Ooooh, thanks for the tip! I'll check them out.
