I want a science fiction bathroom complete with toilet. Realistic not the Jetson's. There are tons of sci-fi rooms, but very few bathrooms.

    Useful?

I think this would be great in one of Petipet's ships. It almost looks like something he'd do. Perfect spot for poses.

The elf city from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy.  Cate Blanchett optional.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Rivendell would possibly be one of the most fan imitated models but impossible to share due to copyright

Meshbox's Elven village collection mimics many of the buildings and is as close as one would dare get

A nurse I used to work with lived in Ashville.  It was her home town and she went back there when she retired. I've been there.  But I was younger and didn't appreciate it.

I visited in high school on a field trip. Was bored to tears. Youth is wasted on the young.

I'd like to see historical style university/college, like Oxford or Cambridge in 3D. There's so many great looking buildings there.

Trimble 3D warehouse and Sketchup is bound to have that

I'd like to vote for Union Terminal in Cincinnati, Ohio.

If you think it looks familiar, here's why (https://www.wired.com/2014/10/super-friends-hall-of-justice/). More info here (http://myunionterminal.com/).

...lovely old station as well so pleased they restored it.

The only real similarity to the JLA headquarters is the central arcade.

Unfortunately the only model I could find is for Sketchup which would require conversion and often models have issues with the mesh like reversed normals.

I’d like the sci-fi bathrooms to match the sets in question. For example stonemason has a lot of sci-fi sets but none of them have bathrooms. And the gis set was awesome but there was no bathroom to match the rest of it.... so stylewise I want the sets to match the ubiquitous coridoors.

     Also wouldn’t mind a sci-fi bar.

Big cranes. Nothing says a city is being rebuilt or destroyed like lots of cranes in the skyline.          https://www.google.com/search?q=crane&rlz=1C1CHFX_enUS531US532&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjlzuqtuKrgAhVqw1QKHWvFC94Q_AUIDigB&biw=2327&bih=881#imgrc=4PWmUpiwC47UmM:

for a scifi loo I don't picture something spartan and full of sucking hoses, it is the future, we already have the Japanese toilets that wash your butt!

Rather a nice comfortable throne that snuggles you encasing it all while it helps you evacuate have an optional colonal irrigation, and cleans it all using new waterless technologies like particle accelerators ultra sound, exfoliates and sanitises while you watch a VR experience of something invigorating like white water rafting or whales frolicking on your integrated headset.

Oooh, thanks for that. Was thinking about this driving home from work recently, looking at all the cranes over the city...

    I have a couple...

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue comes to mind immediately-- Orange Man optional.

    A nice orbital shipyard.

SeaTac International Airport, or something like it, including terminal interior and a gate.

I'm also considering trying to rebuild the old RTC and NTC from Orlando, Florida... From before it was razed to make room for a housing development.

I dunno about them... I'm still looking for a large-scale orbital shipyard and the 3D rebirth of RTC/NTC Orlando. I have a thing that really wants them.

I think Pluto and Charon could use the shipyards to build colony ships, and RTC/NTC would be for training the crews. Amongst other things.

On the upside, I found lots of pictures of the latter in a google image search.

Slightly OT but I think pertinent to all of these suggestions.. how much are you willing to pay?

A lot of these images I've seen suggested before and pondered myself, but the amount of work is not inconsiderable to the point where it's bordering on not really feasible (at least for me personally).  Case in point, I'm still working on the West Park exterior.. and the Dream home took like 18 months over 50+(?) products.

I certainly wouldn't object to paying for the things I mentioned, with the amounts to be negotiated. I admit that the White House is a bit out there, but an airport terminal should be at least workable (even as a batch of vignettes), as well as barracks and things for the Recruit and Naval Training Centers from 1990's Orlando. A lot of those things were repeated ad nauseum anyway.

Especially with lots of pictures available (not that I would demand complete precision anyway). As for the shipyard, who knows? I don't think it impossible-- just beyond my ability to do well. I can do the job, but it'll look like crap. Besides, I'm working on the people to populate (most) of the things I listed.

Besides, starships rawk. Speaking of, I need to get my hands on someone that'll take on a commission for one of those...

I don't mind paying for big/biggish ticket items if they're versatile, but if I love it and it's something I won't be able to find a reason to use very often then I'll have to wait until it goes on sale, regardless of the work that went into it. Fortunately for the PAs, we all have very different needs - I can't see myself ever rendering a sci-fi toilet, but there seems to be much demand for one :)

As for the stuff I posted, just one of the cell blocks or one of the rooms....not the entire building ;) Building something like an entire prison would be rather redundant I would think. Especially a derilict one ;) The Birdcage Theatre..hmmmm...the room with all the different compartments on the wall would be cool with the stage.

This thread is very useful for those of us who make environments... I'm glad someone started it.  However, I can't help but laugh a little (not in a mean way) because the majority of these suggestions are HUGE environments, which take a great deal of time to make properly.  The outback?  An island?  Buckingham Palace?  LOL.  Don't get me wrong, they are still good ideas, and I can see at least two in here that I have been chipping away at between other projects.

Please keep in mind, as well, that some suggestions are so niche, it is unlikely more than a small handful of buyers would find them useful.  As content creators, a lot of us have already had these same ideas, but we know that building them would be more of a labour of love than a money making product.

I have favorited this thread and will certainly use it for ideas.  Thanks for your suggestions, everyone.  And please, don't take my comments as negativity or a declaration that "I won't make these things"... just giving you some insight from our side of things.

I went to Great Mistakes for the second half of ET A School. I despised that place.

  • Bald-a$$ prairie and lonely roads.  Tundra.  Rocky lakes.  On the structural side, some fantasy-style exteriors... towers and turrets and spires that are not disney-esque, nor particularly historically inspired.  Fantasy settings that don't involve giant skulls. :-)

I have lots of sets for different streets. I have a European suburb, classic American houses, New York Townhouses, back alleys, a whole city, London and other world cities and various scifi alleys and streets. What I don't have is a mid century street with just shops...like a downtown shopping area like a lot of medium sized towns in the U.S. used to have. I still think a vintage Art Deco Miami street would be fantastic or even a Key West street with all those cute little houses they have there. I love indoor sets too - I have those that I use frequently, like anything by Jack Tomalin, Stonemason and Slosh (invaluable, really :)). Of course, for as many as I have I could always have more, and as my collection of 3D figures and clothes grows, I find myself more and more drawn to sets to put the humans IN more than I do the humans. LOL.

Well, obviously we all want everything for nothing.laugh But seriously the Angkor Wat model that was on Rendo but no longer available was $50 and I would definitely pay that for it.
