Maybe put a glowing moon (or other celestial body) on the top right and rim lighting behind the girl? And maybe a side light in yellow or purple or one of each?
Over There.

I'd like to share in this but I can't figure out how to embed an image? I host all my stuff on Flickr.
On your flickr image, click the Share arrow, copy the BBCode, the copy/cut the image reference between the [IMG] tags, and paste that into the URL using the image button here on the Daz Forum Leave Comment...change scale and post. (about as clear as mud...maybe there is a better way, but that works!)
EDIT - added clumsy graphic
Playing with new purchases and postwork...
That looks good
Anyone else a fan of nonsense verse ? Here's a bit from Edward Lear's "The Jumblies":
They went to sea in a Sieve, they did,
In a Sieve they went to sea:
In spite of all their friends could say,
On a winter’s morn, on a stormy day,
In a Sieve they went to sea!
And when the Sieve turned round and round,
And every one cried, ‘You’ll all be drowned!’
They called aloud, ‘Our Sieve ain’t big,
But we don’t care a button! we don’t care a fig!
In a Sieve we’ll go to sea!’
Far and few, far and few,
Are the lands where the Jumblies live;
Their heads are green, and their hands are blue,
And they went to sea in a Sieve.
P.S. Apologies for the marginal quality of the sieve in the image. That's my first venture into 3D object creation. The first try looked like a potato...
I've been binge-watching The Expanse (what a wonderful show! Up to season 3), and inspired to do a space battle render.
Love the Expanse, but honestly, I kind of wish it didn’t have all the alien/supernatural stuff. I think all the political intrigue and character drama is more than enough to carry the show.
Here we go!
Daz 4.12 Iray
Photoshop
Lighting is comprised of HDRI with two low-intensity spots and custom plane emissives.
Thank you!
Not bad William, space render lighting is hard to do, you've done well !
Yes Love the B&W all ways a pleaser !
Love sci-fi, great job !
I manged to get three episodes into season 1 before I ordered season 2. I think this shows amazing self control.
Cheers,
Alex.
Thanks @Midnight_stories! I'm a huge sci-fi geek and I love your products!
Very cool! How did you get that mini bokeh effect?
Just starting a new one !
I know it's not what you usually do, but have you ever considered doing sci-fi furniture or future tech gadgets? I would love to see that in the store!
I actually would like to do some sci-fi props this year, the biohazard props really sold well, so I think people like the kitbashing stuff. So it's on my list for sure !
Glad you like it! You mean the embers in the background? They're a prop, specifically Iray Fireworx. Then I just used camera depth of field and changed the number of blades to 7.
Title: The Highwayman -- from the poem by Alfred Noyes
"The wind was a torrent of darkness among the gusty trees.
The moon was a ghostly galleon tossed upon cloudy seas.
The road was a ribbon of moonlight over the purple moor,
And the highwayman came riding—
Riding—riding—
The highwayman came riding, up to the old inn-door."
That poem sent chills up my spine when I read it as a child. Still does.
Playing about with some anim blocks in Studio. Fiber Hair used on both bears and used an HDRI for the environment.
Jedi of the Old Republic
Enterprise 1701-C
Giving it a go at a big city scene.
I wanted to stretch a little and go for a high-key portrait. My usual impulse is to create low-key, chiaroscuro portraits, so I forced myself to brighten things up a bit. A touch of bloom filter, an HDRI from HDRI Haven, a kicklight on the hair and poof: She Walks in Beauty
Inspired by the Lord Byron poem, She Walks in Beauty..."
She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
