K little update... I started assembling the update for Dark Elves Gen 1 and Gen 2. So there will now be tattoo off mats for both versions (which will be partials, and will require you to load the respective colored skin, before removing the tattoo) Kattey's partial morphs are in the Gen 1 version, and the G2 update will have some very minor seam corrections in it. You may not have noticed them, as theyre very slight... but they bug me, so Im fixing them.

Ill keep ya posted when the update goes thru.

Geebus Bunny. That's wicked looking. Noticing all of the negative space on the left, is it going to be a site banner or something?

    Thanks : )
And yeah i did the picture like a banner but i probably wont use it for one, I just always liked the way some banners looked and have made a few pictures in that style.

That banner is amazing indeed, a question, is it the Dream hair or some other hair you are using? *curious*

Lol ok :) Dream Hair is a lovely looking one, I dont' have it yet but I do plan to get it.. evnetually :) hmm Haven't heard of the program, but than again... I highly doubt I have the skills to actually draw hair in the first place (have looked at some tutorials for drawing hair in photoshop.. and I decided to put hat as a future thing to learn.. sometime in the not so near future most probably *laughs*)

I can't paint hair either, not from scratch anyway. I have to have hair already on teh render to use as a "base"

I can't say one way or teh other how my hair actually looks to others but so far it seems good enough to me to keep doing it this way, plus i figure the more i work at it maybe some day i wont even need a guide any longer. /crosses fingers.

If you guys are interested in learning to paint hair in PS, I have a video tut here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm5BLpcFTW8&feature=c4-overview-vl&list=PL30A914E74DAC24F7

And a PDF tut here: http://www.damageinc3d.net/Tutorials/HairPainting.pdf

They both cover the same stuff pretty much, but are just in different formats.

Db I think your hair look great :)

Iggy, thank you. Will eventually get around trying that tut but I need to get a tablet first me thinks, somehow it sounds like it would be easier with a tablet than with the mouse *smiles*

Yeah, its definitely easier with a tablet (and u need one to take advantage of the shape dynamics, which allots for really whispy strands) But it can be done with a mouse. I painted with a trackball for yrs before I finally got my tablet.

Ahh I didn't know about the pdf version! Thanks for that link! /downloads

I did get the Genesis character, but haven't been able to play (been spending hubby's birthday weekend on the harley *grin*). Hopefully I'll get some time to play with it and some other new goodies on Tuesday.

And i really love your picture. the way her skin looks alone is beautiful, but the lighting on top of it makes it really look cool.

Bit late to the game, here, but finally posted my first render using the dark blue drow skin with the Midnight Huntress outfit and props. In retrospect, using the Forest environment prop was probably not the best idea, as it always murders LuxRender's performance. So what should have taken a day to render took closer to a week...

    Drow Huntress 001

The problem with drows is rendering them in a dark environment; they'd never be out in bright sun. That's always a challenge to get good lighting for...

Great job on the render!! The glowy bits really stand out too. And that environment is perfect... love the little stream too.

And ouch, it took a week? :O I'd never have that sort of patience lol you must be a saint.

Well, not quite a week. That render kept three i7 machines cranking for about 130 hours. I've been tied up all week at work, so no time to worry about doing anything else render wise anyway.
