About bundles I wonder why there is no bundle only for genesis variations and only for G2F variations, and only supermegabundle is an (future) option?

Well as I said earlier, I haven't quite worked it all out yet. I've only talked to Kevin about it briefly, because it's so far in the future at this point. So I'll hammer all that out when I'm closer to finished with the gen 4 set

As for why these are split up as they are, I actually polled the community and asked them how they wanted it done. I had a majority say they wanted it split so they could just purchase what parts they wanted. Unfortunately, it's going to be tricky with bundling the set without making 24 million packs (Okay that's a slight exaggeration LOL but you get the idea)

But you already have two products for Genesis and two for G2F, right? My question was why there is no bundle option for Midnight Huntress + Dark Elves for Genesis and Midnight Huntress + Dark Elves for G2F separately with Midnight Huntress + Dark Elves for V4 when it is going to be released?

Split is working for some who only want one product but bundle option would be nice for people who want both.

One bundle for only Genesis variations (two items), one for only G2F variations (two items), one for (future) only V4 variations (two items).

Well, it is your choice of course.

Split is working for some who only want one product but bundle option would be nice for people who want both.

I already explained why it was split up this way - because I polled the community and they said that they wanted it split.... That purchasing only the things they want was the cheaper way to go.

Edited to add: I guess we crossposted lol well I will give some thought to bundling them ... I'm still not sure how I'm going to work all that out yet.

Sure. Although I still don't see the reason why it can't be both splits and bundles options for same figure.

Actually, I changed my mind. Im not gonna do the bundles at all. My reasoning being, I don't have time right this second to do them, as I mentioned, I have something else on my plate.... and it wont be fair to people who are purchasing them now (unless I charge an equivalent amount of money, in which case, defeats the purpose of bundling)

Just a test render of G2F Dark Elves wearing clothes from VaL FrostWhisper for V4 and Charm hair.
Eyebrows for Dark Elves, one can find under Clothing, Damage Inc, Dark Elves, Eyebrows.

Awesome character! I bought the g2 version. I'm sad, I can't check her out before work, but tonight I get to play.

Thanks for the great figure. =-)

You can get a "limited time bundle" buying them together now with the extra 10% discount the store sale throws in.

OTOH... the light skins don't use the diffuse boost like the Drow skins do.... so these are pretty straight out of the box (cept for the eyes... they'd need ambient turned up)

OK, I hope I don't sound like a mean old meaniepants, but if I'm going to buy this character (my have-to-buy-list is getting rather long, suddenly, so I'm not yet making promises, but chances are good ^^), it'll be solely based on this render, not on the promo shots. Because due to the distance from the camera and the lighting the promo shots really don't give me any indication to the quality of the texture or the maps of the character(s, I guess ^^). I just can't make out any details.

And it doesn't help that it's wearing the Midnight Huntress outfit in every single picture, which makes it harder to make out the body morph. I know the standard bikini promo shot for characters is kinda boring, but it is there for a reason :D

Again, I'm not trying to be mean or I surely have nothing to criticize in the promos' quality. It's just that, as far as I am concerned, they don't really help selling me the product. And if it's not working on me, it may not work on others, and if it doesn't work on others, you may not make the giant mountain of money that you deserve making for giving us an entire rainbow of elves :D

Oh, and while I am ranting, how come this product is released just two weeks after I spent an entire day trying to create a nice night elf morph and finding and adequate texture, huh? >.<</p>

I'm impressed Iggy, your supporting BOTH Genesis right out of the gate. I'm getting the Genesis 01 sets as I use that figure more often! Thanks hon for the great work and support of the best figures on the market (in my humble opinion) XO

I did the same thing. I figure that since I have so much more content for Genesis 1, there are more possibilities for mixing and matching. I'll get the Genesis 2 version later, but I have to watch my money at the moment, but there are other things I need to buy. Like food...

LOL Yeah, I have a hard time deciding between Gen 1 and Gen 2 myself. I could easily convert one to the other tho, later on... but initially, Im only gonna be able to do one figure, sadly. So I figured you guys could help me decide, by giving me an idea what everyone is using and wanting supported.

And..... well, I will give a hint and say the ones that will be coming VERY soon, are for Genesis. And they're for Genesis 2 lol (and theres 4 in total, 2 to each figure) It will also eventually have a Gen 4 version, but it most likely won't be til Oct/Nov-ish

If only one figure later on, then I vote for Genesis. ;)

Thank you soooooo much for doing a Genesis version of your products! :D

I'll be the voice that votes for G2F. I did not purchase the Genesis version of this set, nor does a V4 version of it have any interest to me, either.

So tempting... this is going to bring me back to the WoW days. I got a question, is there an option to shorten the eyebrows? I'll be planning on making the dark elves from Lineage if I get this product.

There is a morph for the eyebrows to fit the hood, which shorten them ( I'm using that on the render I have going) not sure if you can get them as short as you want (never played Lineage ;P) but should be possible to get it somewhat as you want me thinks :)

Some other details about the set I wanted to put in the thread for people, just in case Im not here soon (Im on a wonky schedule, so Ill be going to bed in an hour or two) If anyone has questions, please feel free to add em (and I will answer them when I get up) or you can just PM me directly. Ill still be around for a little while, though.

There is a no ears morph included, for using the hood (this will make it so the ears don't poof it out - tho u can use it with the regular Dark Elf morph too, as the morph accounts for the ears)

The skin has SSS enabled (not just the glow) and requires the SSS shader by Age of Armor (and DS 4.6)

The textures in Midnight Huntress have some pieces that feature Velvet (and require ubersurface)

The Poses require limits to be off (due to the extreme nature of archery)

The bow is only Right handed - the arrow only left handed. And the archery poses work with it

The Quiver has rigidity on it (so it will not deform when using any morphs)

The quiver arrows parent to the Quiver (and so, when using certain morphs, you may have to move them slightly to put them back in the quiver -- this will not be the case when posing the quiver itself, however)

As mentioned, the Gen 1 version uses V4's UV's.... the Gen 2 version uses V6's UV's

Most of the tidbits can be found in the PDF... so if you guys get stuck on anything, checking it is always a good idea as it will answer most things. The PDF's are in the wiki -- http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/16000_16999 (just look up each pack)

Did you mean to say V5 UV's for the Gen 2 version?.. the marketing info says its for G2F not V6. Also I like that the Gen 1 version uses V4 UV's as that makes the skin more usable in Poser.

I can confirm that the G2F version uses the V6 UVs. Would have been nice if they used V5's UV, as then they could be used on both G2F and Genesis.

If you'd like, Ill try to do some full plainer renders. But theyll be sort of just like the renders with the eye options. Unfortunately, I can't show it nakie lol and I dont own a bikini at present (I hardly own any genesis stuff, actually rofl Im a gen 4 person normally)

But eh.... it seems to be working, between u and me. This thing is flying lol Im actually a bit shocked atm.

PS LMAO @ Rainbow of Elves. Now it just needs some glitter!

Yeah, if u buy 2 you get an extra 10% off - and some of my store things are 50% when u buy any of the new items. Just to clarify for everyone.

There are 5 styles, and a fit to hood option (which sort of curves them around the head a bit) There isnt anything that will make them like normal eyebrow length, however.

Nope, I definitely mean V6. The V4 maps were physically transferred using DS for the Gen 2 version, so they are all V6's uv's (but the same skin)

It is probably best then if this is mentioned as requirement on the product page, as the base UV set of Genesis 2 Female is V5 and not everyone might have V6.

Love the sets by the by :)

I am not doing as many fantasy style renders as before, as I don't really have time for MMORPG or RPG in general anymore (from where my rendering interest initially originated from), but I simply couldn't resist this. I actually bought the characters themselves for both Genesis and Genesis 2 - even as there is some morph transfer capability between Genesis 2 Female and Genesis I'd rather have that quality for both :)

Congratulations on the first Genesis sets :)

Aw well ty. I hope you have fun with them (and feel free to pop back in and post renders if you'd like)

And yeah, the gen 1 set actually transfers pretty nicely to Gen 2. But its not exact at all, and the clothing will require many adjustments. DAZ had asked me (well not asked, per se... suggested strongly) to do a conversion for Gen 2, and walked me thru it... and it is much better to have the base, than to try auto fit and transferring the character. The two look identical in the respective sets, but transferring, they didnt at all. In fact, the Gen 1 versions show the sets on Gen 2 via transfer (that was done before I had the Gen 2 versions lol)
