Awesome stuff! What lighting/Camera set up did you use for this?
I'm going to guess Luxrender? If so, would love to know how long it took to render

Thanks!
This is basic sunlight with physical sky and sun. Set to I believe 3.7% strength on both sun and sky intensity multiplier. Camera is set to ISO 100 fstop 2.8 shutter speed 25. These are my typical indoor cam settings but I try to stick to them in most cases, and just adjust the lights to them on scene setup. Keeps some consistency for material settings.
Only one extra support light in the scene. A point light at 750 lumen infront of the woman.
And thank you Jack, for creating consistently high quality scenes. I just wish I had even half the talent you got. Would make my 3d life alot easier :D
edit : Nope its V-Ray and it took roughly 30 mins to render ;)
Sort of back now after a really bad few weeks. Husband in hospital and working weekends to get a server up and running.
Anyway I haave just posted some Vue mats made with my photos of floors. Mosaics, a Roman road (that one drawn), renaissance tiles and Vicorian medieval styles.

The file contains the images so can be used in other programs too.
Hi.
I hope your husband is doing well, feeling better.
R
He's reasonably ok. It was a build up of fluid in his lung. They cleared it and stuck him back together - this uses talcum powder and is painful. It came back a bit last weekend when we were out but I think they are waiting to get him onto new drugs as it is caused by his cancer.
He's been on one of the new drugs for five years and has worked all that time at the university. He even went out to Italy and Spain for conferences. He is very tough and never lets anything get him down. He'd just come back from driving around France when it suddenly struck. I hope he gets back to work soon as they need him. He teaches databases, webapps and mobile - he programs mobile phones which is a weird thing at 63!
He sounds amazing, such drive and energy.... wow.
I will keep you and him in my prayers.

I wish you both well!
By the way: there is no download button at sharecg ...

+1.. fingers crossed!
I think I will split it into two. The upload took ages and may have fallen over. So I will delete that URL and post new ones.
Maybe they have restrictions now on file size.
Now split into two parts. Download is there now.

The images are jpgs and will work in any program that can use images. There are some bump maps. These are important with the black and white mosaics which are hand drawn to give the feel of mosaics. Black and white mosaics were used in less important rooms and are common in distant provinces like Britannia.
Thank you
Thank you so much!
A few more tiles of mosaics and Roman marble floors (Opus Sectile or cut into bits). I keep finding these things. There are probably more somewhere in the photos.
Not that I'm complaining - but you might have more eyes on your freebies if you post them in the Freepozitory section :)

Yes. I shall do so later.
Today I'm supposed to be building a "cloud" server, or starting to at least. It's a whole new area for me but it is Linux so that is ok. Just need to transfer all the bits and build them. It sounds a bit scary but I think I shall be fine once it is all there. I have himself scanning old images now he has unearthed the scanner - he's off work at present so it keeps him occupied.

Ooh fancy, what are you going to be using that for then?
It's our server. The university is placing all sorts of restrictions on us so we have got ourselves a cloud server. It's about 20 euros a month but we don't have to pay for this one. I run a bibliographic service that is used all over the world. This way we'll be able to mail people their results which is currently being blocked. Probably because it looks like spam!
After some tribulations we now have a static web server. The dynamic bit will come later once I get the whole lot together. Just had a small disaster when my remaining light blew leaving me in darkness (now repaired). But we have the web server now! I haven't got the pages transferred yet - that can wait until tomorrow.
It's what I do - servers, program design, database, networks - all sorts of things. Though not all the time as work comes in now and then. Weirdly it is easier to work as a consultant because we don't get hammered by the uni internal tax. So I get a chunk of money now and then and maybe a real job in a few years time. I work from home most days as I don't have a computer in the office - it went to run the temporary servers but will come back when the cloud server is running. We also have a business on cloud servers aimed at discovering Wildlife Crime - I design and write the code and spy on websites (not this one as it is all virtual and harms no creatures or plants).
And I cooked a curry tonight! Veggie as we'd run out of meat and didn't want to go shopping.
...cold and flu season approaching. Need to go to the Asian grocery to get my curry ingredients soon.
Sadly it's already here..
Ah interesting stuff.. and good to know for if/when I need something like that ;)
Not so good a day today. Looks like husband has to go back into hospital to have his lung drained again before he can start the new drugs. The worst bit is the sticking it back together with talcum powder. The upside is that I get a week of walking and photgraphy when he comes out to get him fit again.
Hope he can get back to work after that. I don't mind the cold and the mud - there is a huge amount of mud out there as most of the local nature reserves are on the coast or in valleys. We did see some interesting birds last time - curlews and an egret. I'll have to fit the cloud server around it all. Not today though.
Sorry to hear that, hope things gets better.
And Jack, great new Avatar ;-)
*sending positive energy*
Thanks Totte! ;)

Not quite 'mine' but a mate of mine has his own micro-brewery.. not a bad drop of stuff either! ;)
is there a category option to choose that has all the west park items, I'm considering getting some but there's so many and I've found products that are addons with different names. After watching American Horror Story Asylum the set got my attention, and I bought misc addons to get to Power Up Points. I think I want to start with the basic rooms and such and the textures to make it look new, but I'm not sure if the East Park and West Park are all one or if some are seperate, one East Park I seen was a school while another was part of West Park. mostly I want to add to cart to figure out the price and then go from there as to what I get, I seen a category there during the .99 sale but it seems to be gone now :/
edit: I found the category now to figure out what items are the asylum and what is not
Moonlit drive-in, with Sarsa's textures:
