Seriously though, there's not a single thing in the Pro bundle I'd ever use, so, no thanks.
My daughter said the same thing when I showed her the bundle. You have to get it, it has Gollum and elf armor.

But it doesnt mention the addon further down. So do you get a free hd addon? If so do you have to add it to your cart or is it automatic ?
I love Ollie! He has so much character; he's not gorgeous, but he is SO expressive!!!!

Well, this was unexpected.
I actually kinda like him, honestly. He's got that 'ugly cute' look to him and of course, he reminds me somewhat of how Paul Kidby drew Rincewind from the 'Discworld' books (albeit with a slightly larger nose). Has some great items, too.
All in all, a pretty unique character! We need more of these types, IMHO.
I just love him, he`s really well made. I love how good he mixes with other characters. Surprisingly he adds more realism when mixed instead of making things cartoonish. I was trying mixing him and my roomate passed by and said he was the most realistic character he`s seen me working with. Guess he help characters to look less impossibly perfect looking, more regular guy, so yeah, I think he will come in handy even if I don`t use the default shape a lot.
The textures and shader are really cool too. This is my favorite character since long ago.
I couldn't agree more. I haven't been much inspired lately and although I don't often render or use toon/stylish type characters I instantly fell in love with him. Instant buy for me. Also, it's the first time I've been really happy with everything in the pro bundle. Kudos!
I'm on the fence about Ollie. He's definitely got character, but would I use the products enough to justify getting the Pro bundle…? I haven't decide yet.
My biggest question is, how realistic does his skin look? From the promos, I thought "toon," but taking a closer look, it seems his skin materials are not toon. That would sway my decision. He's over-the-top caricature, but that skin and HD on other characters with a bit of the shape morph dialed in could prove valuable.
But do I really want to spend that much today, even at 75% off. (Don't have Aiko8.)

I think he's gonna make a wonderful mix as real character (using a different skin) . What I really want is that short hair and a scruffy beard that showing in the promo. Does anybody know what that is?

Ollie's not my cup of tea at all, but I love that he exists if he's popular with others - who knows, the next one that's a bit of a departure from the usual might find me in the 'I'm buying' camp. The more variety the better.
AUGH. I didn't get Aiko or any other pro bundles lately but DANG. I am utterly FLOORED by the Ollie bundle! what a fun and playful and adaptable character he is! Liam was my first male character for genesis 8... I think, soon enough, Ollie will end up being second. So much fun! Great job to the Daz people and PAs who made so much awesomeness for him!
Whilst I'm unlikely to use this character I am most impressed with his more realistic skin which for me the other G8 Males (with exception to Dylan) lack. So for the textures alone a very welcomed addition.

I think Ollie is fantastic! To me he's pretty much a "must have" for anyone who's even considering doing fantasy art. :) I can totally see him as Ichabod Crane, an old wizard, a house elf, or any number of fantasy type characters. :)

Actually he's not bad looking, but that nose REALLY stands out. Thank goodness for nose size morphs... (personal preference - I'd probably dial it down a bit).
That's not necesarily a bad thing though. We have plenty of 'pretty boys' for Daz... and for more 'stylized' works he should fit in quite nicely.
It looks like the 'Aiko 8 sale structure' is carrying over to Ollie. Dunno if that's the 'new normal' for pro bundle sales, but it is what it is...

I like him. I think he is the replacement for Guy 8? I'm surprised though that he would be released before the Girl 8 equivalent so that makes me wonder if Ollie 8 is the Guy 8 replacement.
I really like Ollie, the Brownie, & Avaiator clothing but the rest of the clothing is not me style although it might come in use.
The disappointing think about Ollie 8 Pro Bundle though is the Guy 7 Pro Bundle had easily discernable alternative characters to help guide one's morph imagination that the Ollie 8 Pro Bundle doesn't have. Ollie has just a Golum type character and mostly a whiteface makeup job. They are good though.
I'm on the fence whether to buy just Ollie or to buy the Pro Bundle to get the dForce avaiator and brownie outfits which are great.
I think Ollie combined with transfering Guy 7 to G8M will address caricature creation quite well in G8. However, I've been holding off on the transfer for Guy & Girl 8.
