...in the cyber future RPG I am involved with, those are referred to as "coffin motels".
Thanks~
Keeping the scene file on hand for a while, in case I want to further add to or change things. Like add some more to the room or such - which I probably will later on, but it's at a spot where I'm happy enough with it even if I don't ^^
....The Has It Finally Stopped Snowing Complaint Thread?
Right now I would rather live in a mobile home than this "real" home with crazy roommate and housemates.
It's 47F on Mt. Washington right now! So no snow there, even.
Dana
...heat wave.
83° here in Portland today dropping back into the 60s tomorrow and Thursday then back up to the 80s by Saturday possibly 90° on Sunday Summer is getting a big head start here after that long late winter we had.
Let me correct myself...it's not snowing on Mt. Washington. But there is still snow there. https://www.mountwashington.org/premium-content/webcam-videos/ravines.aspx View from Wildcat Mtn.

...yeah Mt Hood here is still heavily snowcapped which is good as that means water for the farms on the east side of the mountains this summer (provided the state doesn't go up in flames again like it did last year).
Heh cute :)
Big chill is on way up from Antarctica here, it might even rain :o
is that vray?
is it time for lightshow?
my heart set on the rode podcaster
is like a fairy wand
have the shure, but totally meh about it
Yes :>
...
Southern lights were happening a couple of weeks ago in the sky near the SA border where we were filming, was red and violet and teh awesome.
Rode mics are great, you will need to pick up a little desk stand to screw the mount on to for it as well is not ideal for hand held :)
Talk about it snowing in the hills out of town the next few days but seems a lil far fetched right now :)
Render from another angle for funs :>
Here's me being unable to get a nice underwater effect ;v;
I did some looking around, found a few things but couldn't replicate the results. Didn't help that they were all either Maya/Max and or using a different version of Vray than me (I'm still on 1.8, most articles are using 2.0 or 3.0) Translating that into Cinema 4D's vray wasn't working.
I mean like, there was one that made it seem like a six minute setup, add this place this toss a material on and you got the effect - I just get a washed out color and I never could get anything to show up on the surface water plane no matter what absurd settings and values I plugged in, and adding a cube/sphere engulfing the camera "with fog enabled" just made things worse. They also often mention vray shader effects that simply don't exist in my version - either they're Max/Maya addons or they're 1.9+ vray features, in either case it's not something I can use.
I might just pop over to the Vray for Cinema 4D forums and see if I can't bring this up and find a little help; though I am stuck on a terribly outdated version of the renderer (1.8 to their 3.4 sadface.jpg)
I like this angle!

Thanks~
Alrighty, so I got the idea to pop open zBrush to try painting some new textures for the Sea Dragon (and maybe later, the Wyvern 2 or others!). I wanted to load up the base texture since I wanted to keep the belly scales on it and more or less just change the grey upper portions. The geometry loads in just fine but the texture, umm well... Not so much.
Not sure what to do about that, since I've never really done anything like this before :o
Also it comes in a bit small, and maybe it's my bare minimum knowledge of working with the program, but navigating and handling things when zoomed in a great deal - especially working with the camera and canvas - is very, very hard. At least I'm only planning on working on the surface and not smaller areas like the inside of its mouth!
seeing a desktop stand for the Rode. but it doesnt look adjustable height.
or one of those swinging arm mic thingees
just figured out DIY means do it yourself?
why do we spell an 'e' ("e"
) in 'heart' ?
led to a lot of confusion pronouncing Neil Peart's name
Rendered out a few images of the Sea Dragon and its two built-in looks (Classic/Dragon) to show a friend. I really do like this guy, he's handsome~
Cornucopia3D and the E-On website are still down, can't reinstall Vue on this computer or get all my stuff :'<
I'd like to try saving up for xStream, so I can use Vue inside Cinema4D instead of having to pass things between the two programs a ton. On the other hand I'm not really sure I'll be able to make enough progress with these things to warrant buying it and so sticking with my version of 10 Complete might as well work fine enough. Maybe save up for Plant Factory instead.
...I do as well as the refraction is also more evident.
Because without the "e" it is a "hart" a ruminant mammal of the family cervidae like deer and elk. It's not my problem that half the English speaking world pronounces "heart" incorrectly. If English speakers could agree on a common spelling and a consistent pronunciation of a great number of words like this in the language would it still be English?
...probably would be more like German.
If it is caffeine that makes me want to go, why does caffeine free tea still makes me want to go?
must remember hart fot scrabble
