Started watching it in 1970! Yay 3rd Doctor!!! No sonic bloody magic wand - had to do things properly back then!
complaint: Forgot to use PC coupon. Again.
Now that you mention it, I do recall that. Lalla Ward or some such. Didn't she end up marrying Tom Baker, or have I gone senile?
Just two guys!!!!! Holy schmoza, our team was 4 programmers, six artists and a producer for the Wonder Cruiser titles. I feel for those people, it must be a nightmare.
It sounded like World War 3 here. Scared the crap out of the dogm and I could hear it all right through my headphones. Mostly firecrackers, some gunshots, and some fool with a shotgun. Good times in Austin, I suppose.
I got to wath the Sun rise this morning before I finally passed out on the bed. Woke up about 5:10pm, slightly hung over. Fortunately, bein smarter than I look I had saved my last packet of Alka-Seltzer so I'm drinking it now. I blame the beer, holy carp was it strong and dark! Sleeping in a bad position didn't help, either. But I sure had a good time, Dr. Who all night! Hopefully I'll feel like eating soon, I'm going to open with a nice hot cup of tofu miso soup!
I hope everyone had a lovely New Years Eve, and welcome to 2018 everyone!!!
...nah you're OK, She was marred to Baker from 1980 - 1982. After that she remarried in 1992 to Evolutionary Biologist and outspoken atheist, Richard Dawkins. (currently separated on "amicable terms").
It took me a while but I finally found my wireless keyboard. I did not remember putting it under my bed.
The thermostat to my apartment building is in the foyer just outside my door. The front door needs to be firmly shut, or the furnace either runs screwy or just runs all day because the foyer needs to be heated to where the thermostat is set. The upstair neighbors, despite my repeatedly telling them this, REFUSE to shut the door, and the furnace has been runnin screwy the last week cos its so cold. I've put a sign up on the door, and if the landlord complains to me about the gas bill(which is likely to happen cos I'm the first person he complains to about issues here), I'm just telling him to talk to them. I'm fed up.
...very worthwhile rant as it sounds you are being taken for a ride.
Oh, man. I try to be cool with them, and I actually don't really have REAL issues with them, but this, and their 4 kids being SOOO noisy when they're playing outside(Always when I'm filming my model building show on YT it seems, though I've kept my mouth shut about, hard as it is at times), are really wearing me down. The parents are actually pretty nice on a personal level, especially the husband, but these couple things just. Grate.
Agreed!

You still compaining about your toasty warm weather?
12:40 am here right now and it's...... -4F. That's not the wind chill, that's the actual temperature! I don't want to know what it will be around 4:00 am!
Happy New Year, everyone! Don't know if it will be better for me or not.

They were poor and couldn't buy any vowels!

2018 being kind to me so far :)
Written language was runes not romance-esque I think, poetry is built in to the spoken words :)
Has cooled down here and after the big wet last month many flowers are blooming and bright-winged butterfly’s are fluttering by everywhere you look ;)
...that roughly translates to "amusing".
Y is always a vowel and W is too a vowel. Even the name tells you. It's a double U
But I learned in Common Core that two vowels make a consonant!
two vowels put together to make one sound becomes a digraph in english
However Welsh is of the brythonic celtic language group.(from the Welsh word Brython, meaning an indigenous Briton as opposed to an Anglo-Saxon or Gael.)
Speaking of "W"s I once stated that there is no English "W" (wh) sound in Russian. I was sort of correct. Russian usually substitutes B (vh) or y (ooh) in place of a "W". HOWEVER, it seems that languages Belarusian and Ukranian though similar to Russian, do have a native "W" sound! Who knew? (other than millions of Belarusians and Ukranians
).
But at least with Welsh, the letters look familiar and I could probably pick them out if written in longhand script. What drives me crazy is Russian longhand. It just looks like a forest of poles and a couple of balloons on strings.
I've posted this image previously but it still describes my state of progress with Russian cursive.
Complaint: My car.

I've been waiting for a break in the cold & snow. I get as far as getting my little porch swept off but then I'm exhausted. So, I chicken out and go back inside.
