    Mada, after watching your videos on several dForce clothing items last night, I wonder if in your future tuts you might include some explanation of what some of the settings over on the right side are meant to do, i.e. damping, stretch damping, buckling stiffness - although I was able to figure out what these represented, it was not without a lot of trial and error.  I just thought it might help users understand more of the functionality of dForce and to help speed up their workflow.

    I've set up scene files for a few of my outfits and put on Sharecg,  the settings can be used as a guide in using about 90% of the content in my store. I've tried out almost everything in my store with good results, anything with buttons etc. will need special treatment but the majority will work beautifully just using the same surface settings as the samples on Sharecg.

    Tho, it went a little bit Ka-Boomy in the end of the sim. I deceded it would be best to Zbrush the rest of the way.

    Angel-Wings -  Thanks! There is definitely more cuteness on the way. I loved your picture, she’s adorable!  And I concur with your statement about the explode-y mesh; I’m frankly amazed that you got it working at all, especially with the separate dress and skirt. Its poly count is a little on the low side for a cloth simulation, too. The good news is, going forward most if not all of my items will be dForce compatible as well as conforming (and cute!)

    Thats great to hear. I hope you push forward with more products like these. (Not knocking other Vendors) but I think there is enough Victoria secret top model panties bra's and Honeymoon Lingerie for a 1,000 renders a day for the next 50 years and still have room to spair. Quite frankly its an untapped market that few dare venture, but as I have aways said.. It's not what you sell but the quality at which you sell it.

    The T-Skirt works out of the box; no settings used other than making it a dForce object.Attached - image1 is before the sim; image 2 is after, and the scene I whacked together is the third.The pose was just a test, but it reminded me of Joanna Lumley as Purdey in the New Avengers tv series - and thus the image.

    Cool. Now that we have dForce I might actually buy that outfit when it goes on sale. The shoulder straps floating half an ince above her shoulders in the promo renders always put up red flags for me..

    @Divamakeup What you’re looking at in the promo images is the default clearance for the straps, which I can tell you —after a whole week of pulling my hair out and howling at the moon in the wee small hours—is the absolute minimum clearance to avoid them intersecting the shirt mesh in all the characters in all the poses.

    I did however make an adjustment morph to fine-tune the height of the straps per individual application. It’s a compromise, I know, but in this way I hoped I would make everyone happy.

    Thanks, Sara! Knowing that it comes with the adjustments for the straps is helpful and makes me more likely to purchase it. :) It's a REALLY cute outfit - I was just worried that the floating straps would show up in my renders if I bought it. I'm glad to know that you can adjust them. :)

    I've been pretty successful with just the default settings. The only change I usually make is turning "Self Collide" (under the surfaces tab) to "Off".

    Spring Fling G3F seems to work outta the box, just got to add the modifier to it.

    Athletic Gear for G3F works - just be sure and select the "Tie" under the pant's surfaces and turn the "Dynamic Strength" down to zero or it falls off.

    I also always make sure to have Self Collide off, but that's a personal preference as it tends to work better for me.

    I have found so far in most of the older content that I have, that in most cases simpler the item of clothing the more receptive it is to be made into a dynamic item.. Sometimes that is not always the case though..

    The Candy Dress - only the dForce modifier was applied, otherwise straight out of the box.

    Some of the Poser dynamic clothing works very well out of the box. I had posted this one earlier on another thread. This is LilFlame's Purity Dress for V4 on G8F. 

    I've also tested the Optitex Toga for M4 and F4, that seems to work fine, though not much ability to adjust things for extreme poses. I have lots more Poser and Optitex cloth to try out. 

    Other successes, with my notes on my art thread

    • Highlander Outfit (on a Centaur)
    • Aave's Romance for G3F 
    • Victorian Santa Suit for G3M (coat only, not pants)

    Shouldn't the PAs start to test their own products and update the product page to include the dforce verified mark ? I think this will help them sell their products better thus this is their job.

    I think that the idea of this thread is food, but the form isn't. In my opinion, to be useful, the original post should be updated with the list of all mentioned items and a note (0= no compatibility, 1= poor, 2 = ok, 3 = good, and maybe 4 = perfect).

    That would mean a lot of work on older products for maybe a few extra sales, when they could spend that time working on new products which will generate way more revenue. So unless they have a very small back catalog or don't depend exclusively on the revenue I really doubt it would be worth it for them.

    We don't have the ability to update our pages, and I doubt we will go back to all our older products to convert them. To small of a return.

    I think this thread could have done with an index at the beginning which named and linked to each item to make it easy for anyone looking for info, and to make it less likely that confirmation of the same item's compatibility will be posted repeatedly as the thread gets larger. Rating would be overkill in my view, especially as one man's 'good' is another's 'OK' anyway.

    I do my CDP478 test after adding the dforce modifier. That's classical dance poses #04, 07 and 08 for Genesis 3 females and they look like extreme poses. If the the clothes explode or the sim fails when doing those poses, the wardrobe is not, IMO, dforce-ready (simply adding a modifier) out of the box. Most of the clothes I tried using those poses required adding the dforce weight node and tweaking the friction, shear and bend settings.
