Yeah, according to Jack, there's twice as many items per BYOB as there were last year. It's just that by 4-5 weeks in last year we'd seen a whole bunch more than now, when less than a week has passed.
How long does this sale last? I ask because I am hoping for a catch-up at the end as I missed out on some Daily Spotlight items.
At least a month.
PC anniversary sale goes for a month.
Ahh ... looks like I'll have to wait unless they repeat some of the spotlight items. I'll add them to my wishlist.
The part of the sale that says: "FEATURED DAZ ORIGINALS RELEASED BEFORE 2016 60% OFF With purchase of any Debut or Still New Release" doesn't seem to be working.
Did they really remove BYOB 2? I forgot to buy some of the items there which are not included in BYOB 1.
Yeah. Recognized those selections from last year, too. If so, likely the RDNA stuff will be following suit.
If you put only a "still new" it doesn't work at all.
Actually there are no overlaps between the groups. The way it's rolled out, BYOB 2 was added to BYOB2 1, and was the released seperately. So the overlap is just the two together.
Why limit stuff? The same reason we dont just put the entire PC at 95% off for a month.. it needs to actually remain viable :)
BYOB 2 items should still be in BYOB 1 cat..
I didn't say "don't limit it". I said why limit to only 90 (particularly when many of us have a lot of the selection already)? And particularly when it doesn't change for days.
There are approx 700 items in the BYOB's.. and theres like 1100 items in category sales too. It's twice the size of last year :)

Huh... so I'm missing something then. Because I've only seen pretty much the same items in the BYOB for days. *shrug* If you don't mind letting us know, when will more/different items be added to the BYOB? :)

Still not working
The first BYOB went out Tuesday, second Thursday.. and that will repeat, so tomorrow and thurdsay.. etc etc.

'Scuse me inpatients but it's 3.50 in the mornin' and ah wanna go to bed (missed pulling the trigger on yesterdays order 'cause of sleeping in lol) Never mind, just noticed the other thread on this. If it is a marathon and not a sprint, we're evidently Ironmen and haven't even broken a sweat yet. :)
But then again - it is entirely possible that there are a lot of items I'm just not seeing because I already own them.
Just checked, with "hide items I own" unchecked and "show 60 items per page," I get two pages of items on BYOB1.
So, I'll just sit back and save up my money and wait for DAZ to bring the hurt to my credit card with all the awesome savings they have planned for me through Black Friday and enjoy them letting me keep my money while I can.

^yeah - I polished off the 50's stuff I didn't have - outfits and vehicles are great (the Pickup Truck Dred renders very well in Iray from the quick test I did)
Also got the Ferris Wheel and Swing Ride to finish off my Carnival (at least the Iray updated parts - not got the picnic tables or game-addons).
I guess they must've heard the complaints about how oversaturated last year's PC+ sale was with horror crap, because so far, it's been a nice variety of things across the board, lmao. A little bit of an emphasis on spooky stuff, sure, but given we've got a Sci-Fi category sale, the BYOB being filled with 50's kitsch, and the Mega Bundle 2 having some nice things in it, ehhh... I can deal.
While I'm happy you're enjoying this years sale.. I want to just add that the format hasn't really changed from last year in terms of the duration of the horror themed stuff. It's pretty much guaranteed the first week will always be that.. and even this year was the usual complaints. Maybe it's less noticable this year? But then again, there have also been a couple of complaints again this time around.

There are no coincidences. The exact shape of Jack's hat is mystically linked to a thousand variables, including the precise contents of the Mega Bundle, the number of buyers for each item on the DAZ store, and the anticipated release date of the Unflateable Millennium Pony 8. And Jack's hat only looks like a hat to you and me. In reality, it's the 3-dimensional projection of a manifold in a higher-order n-dimensional space shaped by non-rational uniform B-splines whose lengths and control points are determined by numbers chosen seemingly at random -- but only seemingly -- from key values embedded in the normal maps of the current generation of DAZ figures. It's all tied in to DAZ Math, of course, but I confess I'm fuzzy on the details.
Also, I'm told that peanut butter and wombats both play a part in it somehow, but I got kind of confused when they tried to explain that part.
I'm a bit disapointed. I had one item left that I wanted in the BYOB, so I was holding off so I could combine it when they added more items. But now it's gone.
