Returning to my previous question on the matter;   is there anything I can do about a product that only supplies a DUF file and not a Poser one?  Or do I just have to simply avoid any creatures/props that are exclusively in DUF format? (Which would be a shame since there's a few relatively new critters that look real nice that are DUF-only)

you need to look for products that have Poser companion files. These can be used in the newer versions of Poser with the DSON importer

I guess I can take this off my wishlist then  https://www.daz3d.com/giant-fantasy-snake  ; and I already bought The Constrictor back when I didn't realize what the DUF thing was.  I don't have any version of Poser except for P4, and the only way I've been able to use poser/DS stuff is with Vue importing some poser stuff and more commonly with my Interposer Pro plugin for Cinema 4D,  which has long since stopped being developed.

*Edit*   http://www.creativebloq.com/how-to/how-to-move-between-daz-studio-and-cinema-4d  ; Just found this.  Not a perfect solution but it's better than being locked out of new and fun figures I might find.  Don't much enjoy the thought of having to bounce between apps like that, but if it works then it works :P

...Oct 30th there looks like April 30th often does in Wisconsin.  We still could easily get snow.  I've seen snow as late as the last week of May

One year the commencement ceremonies at the college I was attending had to be moved into the fieldhouse as the town was blanketed by about 4" of snow overnight.  I remember seeing  the chairs and stage that were set up the day before on the lawn in front of "Old Main" for the programme covered in snow.

..another fire alarm in the building today.  Fortunately it happened just after noon and not in the middle of the night like last time.

Sunny but chilly and windy today.  Looks as if we've seen the last of warm days for the year this past Saturday as we are headed to the 40s for highs and 30s for lows by week's end.

Time to pack the Hawi'ian shirts away and pull out the sweaters and sweat shirts for Winter which they are predicting will be another cold snowy one here again.

Last night, I was working on things on my computer (still a long road to go), and was just about to go make a coffee milk and go downstairs and watch the news.  As I was about to close down, the UPS started clicking a lot.  It was very windy and raining really hard.  I thought it was the wind blowing the wires around that was causing little spikes or drops.  But then...poof...beep beep beep...power went out and the UPS started beeping at me.  I had to shut down the computer and turn it off to save the battery, and then shut down the laptop downstairs and turn off the UPS down there.  Then I came upstairs and sat there...in the near dark ( had an LED puck light on)  Power went out about 1:15 am.  Security system beeped for about 15 minutes, then the backup battery died.  (I have to call them and get a replacement...I'm pretty sure the battery should last longer than 15 minutes!)  The rain was really loud, and so was the wind!  At 5:30 I went to bed, couldn't stay awake any longer.  Woke to Diane getting up, then my sister came in and they talked for a while.  Then my smartphone rang...at 8:00 am!!!  angry  Finally got some sleep for a few hours, and woke at almost noon.  I found that the power had been back on for about two hours and fifteen minutes.  Wonderful close to an evening and start to another day!   frown

...definitely a "treat" weatherwise here with one more sunny day, last one for a while though given the 10 day forecast.  Probably last day in the 60s as well.  At least there's no wind today (was gusting up to 30 mph yesterday).

Looking to get down to the low 30s by Sunday morning.

How does one eat a green finger lollypop? Why did I get so much candy?  I mean why did I eat some but that is not all of it. I got a Starbucks bag half full of candy.

Well, as usual I bought bags of candy, bought a big pumpkin, carved it into a candle lit Jack-o-Lantern, set it prominently on my porch, facing the street, successfully scaring away the spooks, but despite the obvious advertising of free goodies, I got nobody to come to the door. sad Guess I'll just have to eat it myself... (the candy..., slowly) devil

Local town puts on a Halloween do for the kiddies in the Fire Hall.  In the ten years that I've been here I've only had people show up at my door for Halloween twice.  And both times it was the kids of the people who lived in the apartment in the other half of the house. frown  I don't think that the current tenants let their kids do Halloween at all.  I can't complain, this whole family is mostly very quiet.  Not like previous tenants who drove me bonkers with their running screaming, jumping, crying, whining, tantrums, arguments and general animalistic behavior. angry  And their kids were just as bad. indecision

Lollipops get boring after a while so I bit into the finger.  When did I start it?  I think at most half an hour ago.
