I can uncross my fingers now?
Eyy thanks! Though I haven't popped into DA in a while either hah ^^;
And congrats on the appartment situation :>
I never could figure out how to get this effect to last more than just a few frames :/
This is the render slowed down to like.... Well, very slow. The transition effect only lasted three or four frames, and nothing I did made it last any longer.
I got the effect by using a Noise shader in the transparency channel and a duplicated version of it with a higher contrast in the Luminance channel, but I just couldn't get it to slow down any.
Congratulations!
Dana
You may. Whether or not you can is another question.

Interesting...like he was cloaked and is decloaking to spring on his prey.

Decided to put the lil guy in an actual scene instead of an infinite white void or a checkered stage.
The best kind of news, congratulations *\0/*
Power was out at home for about two hours. It is back on now.
Might have to dual boot a Linux distro from a USB stick and use Midori or a similar modern/web kit browser from there :0
It looked like you were suggesting some strong drink while attempting the Linux thing!
Dana
we nicknamed ours "Melon Licker" and "Obligate Cornivore"
..that's good.
...thanks all. Massive load off my shoulders. Think I'm going to sleep well tonight for once.
Crikey our team even won the Monday night trivia challenge. Maybe I'm on a roll..
...actually the former owners here left a Linux notebook behind and the other week they already told me they are not coming back to get anything more. Need to get a power brick for it but that won't be hard.
...mmm Midori, Kamikaze.
Awesome result KK, and a Linux nb too
So a web series I've been watching just released an episode the other night. Was a lot of fun and overall a great episode... Then it ends with one of my favorite characters from the series getting shot :<
Epi's name was "Quicksave", and one of the other characters was talking about his creation in a way that suggested it was a time machine, so I'm holding out hope that they pull something to keep the guy around instead of killing him for good and forever ;v;
Will have to wait a week to see what happens next though wah, long time to be left waiting.
In other news I managed to salvage a few of my model/scene collections, though some things are still missing. Still fiddling with that raptor scene too hah, I keep tweaking things and re-rendering stuff a bunch.
I was thinking a Pearl Harbor. Aptly named...they sneak up on you!

Scratch that, trying to redownload one of the files from the store I purchased it from but with no luck.
Firefox? Gets to 50 ~ 60mb then the download fails.
Chrome? Ditto.
Safari? Same as above.
It's a 280mb file, and no browser seems to be able to get it downloaded :/

Sounds like the purchase store's server has a problem. Do they have customer support?
Yeah I contacted 'em and they provided an alternate download. Got it without much hassle after that. :)
Yayz!

then shake it all about
Yesterday I managed to rescue all of my books from old flat to new one, together with gazillion of other things, and now just looking at all those things requiring sorting, putting on some shelves and so on makes me so tired I slept through most of today. Kind of sad to see past 12 years of life in form of bags, cardboard boxes and miscellaneous piles of stuff :(
Finally got time at a local hotspot to dl the rest of my Product Library.
Whew...
...I used to do that before I finally got my own Net service. Got to the point my monthly coffee tab was costing me more than just getting Net service at home.
...Leela'a brithday today....well, about 25 years from now (2042).
