Geneology charts must get really interesting in Hollywood.
Especially when combination of story universe's. Picard is friends and enemies with Gandolf.
and they're cuzzins
was there a rational explanation for this one?

I think the computer deal went sour. It looks like I am not getting the new computer after all
Dana
An attempted one, but it falls short of reality. it was explained that it was because she weighed less than 90 pounds, and the winds at the convent, high on a bluff at the shore, gave enough lift. Of course, there's more to flight than that. But it was enough for most people to find it believable. The stress on her neck would be difficult to tolerate. Think of someone lifting you up by your head!
The coronette (hat) was based on one acftually used, but it isn't really that similar except for its outlandishness.
Dana
I thought you said you bought it? Did you get your money back? I hope...
Dana
I did but in process of getting money back.
Are you sure it wasn't a mouse and just ran away?

The network had Sally Field and had no idea what to do with her.
lucky she didnt get stereotyped. seems was a big concern for the actors
Non-complaint: Went to symphony to hear four Wagner pieces tonight. Short concert (I was out by 9:30PM) but very good. The "Siegfried's Funeral March" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uka8ykFDw2U sent chills up my spine.
And the price was right, only $20 for a 90 minute presentation much like the TV specials that Leonard Bernstein used to give with music clips and then explanation, then the whole piece to show you how they fit together. Very well done.
And nobody flubbed their music, no flat horns tonight. I believe I heard a rumor that the previous offender was held in stocks and pummelled with rotten vegetables for a day.
A sure candidate for the Mikado's executioner's "little list of people who would not be missed". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NLV24qTnlg

losing mobility of legs is a struggle to put my leg in pants >.<
is like walking in a steambath outside humids so high, halfway to bus stop aborted mission.
why is there corn syrup in my ice cream?
My sneakers make my feet and knees hurt. I think someone else wore those shoes before I did. The insole is ok but the outside might be stiff? Dress shoes are more comfortble.
Complaint: I talked to the tech who has my main computer and the hard drive is failing; so it still isn't ready. With getting a new hard drive installed I won't get it back until next week.
A worthy complaint. Gee, that's a slow tech! The tech I bring mine to when something is wrong usually has it ready in a day or two. I think even I could replace a hard drive in less time! And I hate doing hardware!
Dana
This is not the big city so nobody stocks much stuff. Estimate is two days to get it delivered and then another one or two days to transfer the the 1.3 TB I have on the old drive.
Complaint: I have no people to whom I could complain to and thus I have to go to vent off online :(
...regarding #1: yeah a real bother. Also some morphs don't translate very well (especially if you use DFormers)
Regarding #2: I know, really hard to get socks on as well. Can barely raise my right leg at the hip. This is why I was so glad to find a pair of slip on shoes that are comfortable, fit well, and have good arch support.
Regarding #3: Used to live in New Orleans, was like that constatnly from late April into October
Regarding #4: Because HFCS is cheaper than pure cane sugar, thus, bigger profit margin. Another factor is HFCS increases the body's cravings for more which translates to increased sales (epecially for soft drinks). HFCS also does not "burn off" as regular sugar does with exercise, thus also has been contributory to the increase in weight gain in the US over the last four decades since its introduction (Princeton University Study).
..I could do it in less than an hour, however transferring all the data from the old one to the new one is another thing, especially if it is a large drive with a lot of stuff on it.
I am pretty sure that one of my housemates has a grudge against me. I figured it out when she said that she wishes that I would be kicked out.
I used to try to get a computer fixit job done in one day and would hope for a couple jobs per day. But now that I'm officially retired and no longer actively seeking customers and only take old trusted customers or people they refer, I always tell them at least two days sometimes three. I can't sit at the computer for hours on end anymore. I do a good job but I take my time. I'm in no rush, I'm not desperate for the money, and I don't want to set expectations for a quick turnaround. My customers know that along with their fixed computer they get a very detailed log of EVERYTHING I did to the computer, time tagged and with web links to the relevant security warning, virus removal tips, known problems tutorials, and statements of my theories at each point as to what is wrong, then at the end, a one page, layman's language summary of what has been done to their machine and comments about its future needs and lifetime expectations. And, most importantly, I'm not cheap anymore. I'm not afraid to not take a job if I don't think they will want to pay what it will take to get it fixed right. Slowly but surely I'm getting what I want for a job and getting only the jobs I want.
PS: The detailed log of operations performed to the computer is actually for my benefit, so that I can remember exactly what has been done and what my goal is at any point the the process. I did this my whole career. Comes in handy when the same computer comes back for fixing. A five minute review and I remember all the ideosyncracies of that particular machine, and believe me they all have them.
...that is sound business practise. I wish more shops would take that sort of care of their customers.
Yeah, my time estimate was basically if I installed a new drive on my own system. The physical installation is the easy part. It is making sure the BIOS recognises it, the drive is properly formatted, and then the process of transferring all the programmes & files from the old drive onto the new one that takes the time. If it is a boot drive I'd go for a full clean install of the OS and programmes, which is what I will need to do when I upgrade to an SSD for the boot drive with W7 Pro so I can then perform the memory upgrade I need.
Fortunately all my library content and scene files are on a different drive which I won't have to mess with.
Weather complaint: cold and getting colder. Also iz not raining much.
