I'm really pleasantly surprised how well they still work. I just ran RSSY 3DL to Iray, put diffuse into bump map, and bam. And the great design means that even though they are 'just' cards, they look good from most angles.

I love being able to round out scenes with a range of plants that fit an environment, and just today I've expanded my range a lot.

    Very pleased.

Ultrascatter with some Traveler plants (yay sale!), Iray worlds for sky and lighting, a Muelsfell tree.

I'm impressed with how much Ultrascatter speed has improved, and also Traveler plants; yeah, it's 'just' a series of cards, but cleverly curved and arranged so it works pretty dang well from various directions. Worked great.

Had to use Diffuse as Bump for converting the plants, but it worked well enough.

The Traveler sale isn't doing me much good. I bought a couple of his plants when Daz was first bringing the RDNA products over. I loved them so much, I've made it a point to buy what I could whenever they went on sale. Consequently, his category in today's sale is pretty decimated. Not a single plant listed that I don't already own! As you say, they work well in Iray with a tiny bit of tweaking.

I love your image. I can almost hear the insects, and feel the warmth of the sun on my face, tempered by the cool autumn breeze… Makes me want to be there, instead of "chained" to a desk in my office.

Thank you! I debated putting in a squirrel, but the environment I set up looks too 'grasslands' for that. mmm

We've recently started hiking occasionally, and visited Yosemite for the first time two months ago. It's MAGICAL.

And I found myself considering undergrowth, wishing to have a bit more control over filling in the ground cover and similar.

(Although the area is recovering from fires, so not as much cover as usual!)

It could be the edge of a forest. We have a couple of squirrels come to our garden quite a lot and we are in the middle of a town :)

A ground squirrel would be right at home there

Vladimir, also testing out using Riversoft's g3 to g8 clothes converter with Desperado outfit.

Coat was a little funky, but that's not unusual with fitting coats

After I'd been wondering on Saturday why there were no bionic arms or the like for G8 (or at least none I could find), I very quickly jumped on the new "Build a Cyborg" bundle when I saw it earlier, and did some experimenting with it.

I haven't had the time to work on any extensive scenes yet, but it should give me the opportunity to work on some ideas I've had in my head for a while.

Well, I had been telling myself that I'd already gone a bit nuts this month, but given between the various stacking discounts it was already 69% off, I decided that was probably already about as cheap as it was going to be for some considerable time and I might as well just get the whole set now.

Going to work on her winged form? Heh.

    (last few episodes whoa)

hmm. Now I’m wondering about doing Ponyhead

  • Eclipsa is my favorite, that's all I can say mostly.

    As for the winged form?

    I dunnno.

I'm trying to find a way to put her on the Daz store -- both in a lawyer-friendly and a top-quality-friendly way.
