    Testing Blonde.

Ollie and Lucas figure, Mec4D's Unshaven 2 dirty blonde hair preset applied to Commander hair, Michael 8 eyebrows, and CC Beard Boss.

Nice test, Will. I'm not liking the eyebrows much, (fault the brows on that,) but Commander Hair looks amazing with that shader. The mustache, too. With the beard in shadow, it's hard to tell, but I'm thinking Cath's shaders work well with Beard Boss overall.

    Playing with lighting

Are all the bright colors part of the lighting? She looks like she's been drumming with Sandra Bullock a la Miss Congeniality. I definitely like the effect.

Yes i used https://www.daz3d.com/render-studio-iray this to create the effect. The third promo image was kinda the effect i was going for but her head is tilted forward in stead of backward giving this effect.

    Thanks

My latest, which actually started out as a test of the Kinley Hair with dForce product.

I was curious how well the latest surface setting design would work with earlier content. Here is Genesis 1 with Philip textures, but settings from recent Genesis 8. For translucency color, I DID have to take diffuse color and edit it in Photoshop to be less saturated and brighter, which really did the trick.

Also G3M side part hair parented to head and set to collide (old non-autofit trick), M5 beard base, Real Hair chest and abdomen hair, and some shaders from Unshaven 2 on beard and body.

LOL thanks few more *Nudity* https://bobvan.deviantart.com/art/259-737732004 kind of like this one came out the water is simply imported BG pic. I had slowed down a bit but now picked up a new ROG asus with a 1070 to set up scenes at work, render on the beast. My old one with the 980M is now a media player...

I was comparing some settings with my take on SSS which considers translucency, scattering and absorption, so I like how the image came out. Without absorption SSS ocurrs uncontrollably.

    Custom shader? It looks interesting.

Started it in Shader Mixer but I think it is possible to do with the Iray Uber Base.

Slightly off topic here, but the render contest for RiverSoft Art's anniversary closed last night and is now in the voting phase. Voting for the "People's Choice" closes early Wednesday morning, so there is a small window of opportunity if you'd like to help out. There are "only" 17 non-PA entries in the RiverSoft Art First Anniversary Contest SUBMISSION THREAD. Voting is via a "Doodle Poll"  (sort of like Survey Monkey,) with the link found in the RiverSoft Art First Anniversary Contest People's Choice VOTING OPEN!!! thread. Many of us are reporting in the voting thread after we voted, but that's not a requirement.

I hope you guys consider voting. There are some really cool images in the entry thread, along with information on how the contestants used the products from RiverSoft Arts in the images. Only one page of images and descriptions and well worth a bit of your time, I believe. (Even if you decide not to vote!)

    Thank you for considering it.

Crawk for G3, plus Egyptian outfit for G3, and the fairly old but still cool Lesser Valley of Kings.

Ollie at about 50% plus a bunch of stuff (CC Beard Boss, vascularity, etc), and Altern8.

I just love Ollie. Here's another, using Aldo skin and Altern8 again.

(Also using my OMS1 shader for rusted truck)

In honor of the Coachella music festival last weekend. It's funny, I did this image first then later saw this article about fashion at Coachella. I think I was pretty spot on! https://www.cnn.com/style/article/festival-fashion-trends-style/index.html

Did a little hair painting on Wild Wind Hair and got bits and pieces of different outfits and a variety of shaders. Also grunged it up a bit in Photoshop to make it a bit more arty or like a photo with Instagram filters...

So I FINALLY saw Pacific Rim. Yes, the first one.

I was... not... thrilled. Needed more robots and monsters, less really stupid plot.

But I DID find it inspiring...

Nice render never heard of the movie but a review of it on Wiki saounds totally formulaic.

Say what you will about Pacific Rim...but Stacker Pentecost's speech was a great moment, as was the robot dragging the ship on the streets ready to use it as a club. I just wanted the whole movie to be a series of epic moments like those!

Maybe a reflection map or a catch light for the eyes? Or better yet, a single white dot brush in photoshop on each eye.

Been having loads of fun doing 'regular' folks with Altern8.

Here's Lucas (with lots of tweaks to make him look Asian), H&C business suit for G3M, and CC beard boss (which I'm probably going to use in just about every male and a few female renders), Agent Hair for G3M, and Altern8 (which I've been having a blast playing with lately)
