    I am downloading as slow as mollasses uphill in January right now. Almost 3 hours so far for 290 MB, and it's only at 73%. 15 to 25 KB/s. Seriously. I had a help ticket a couple of weeks ago with Jamie, it was fixed and good for a bit, but now it's back into the sewers of dialup speed. It's actually going even slower than before. I've submitted another help ticket. Sigh. DAZ, you're better than this!

    DIM downloads files from contegix (blackmesh.com). They have been getting progressively slower for months. Right now, it's running about 70k bytes/sec.

    As a workaround, manual download and Free Download Manager get around BlackMesh slowness. Right now:

    • DIM is downloading 2 files at the same time, 1 connection each, at an amazing 140k/sec.
    • FDM is downloading 15 files at the same time (no real limit), 12 connections each, 7.4M/sec.

    Yeah, that's about 50 times faster than DIM.

    I suppose DAZ could crank up both the simultaneous files and the connections per file. wink I've always wondered why DIM was set for 2 downloads max. Or they could go beat up on contegix.
