thinkin about getting Lilith7 in the sale. even though, perfectly happy with lilith6.
do you fade to a cut?
so, the dragon is walking towards the camera, he passes, then show the dragon walking away,
that's 3 cuts? few frames of fade between, or just bam, cut?
tee hee, zolly
i never saw the movie vertigo
One of my favourite cuts is a dolly wipe (probably not the right name, dunno if there is a name).
Picture a guy walking along a street, camera dolly is keeping pace with him. Then something comes between the guy and the camera: might be a streetlamp, or a bus or whatever, and the wipe takes place behind it, so when he's past it he's in a new scene.
Notting Hill was the first film I really remember that used this technique to really good effect.
That seemed to be one long set. As it changed from snow to dry, you could still see the end of the snow on the ground on the left moving out. Interesting, but not really cuts to different scenes.

OK, just so you won't forget what this thread is about, here's a reminder.
Bonus points to anybody who knows what applilcation this is...

Morning. Butterfly Irises splashing white and purple all around our green and gold garden like some careless giant walked over swinging a couple of paint buckets :)
wipe is correct term, something "wipes" the frame
all yr string belong us :)
spooky drop
...does New York State have a local Lotto? Might do better there as the odds are not quite as astronomical as Powerball (which is nation wide).
Here in Oregon it only costs 1$ to play teh Megabucks which gioves you two separate lines of numbers per ticket. Yeah the payout won't let me buy my own island in the South Pacific or a professional sports franchise but if I do hit it, at my age teh payout would be more than I could use up in the years I have remaining (even after the "splurges" of building a new workstation and bumming around Europe for several months).
...actually the best value would be a GTX 1070 at around 390$ - 420$ as you get 1,920 CUDA Cores, 8 GB of VRAM and probably not need a new PSU as it draws only 140W at peak (in comparison my old 1 GB 460 with 336 CUDA cores draws 150W).
...I like the godrays from the window
..well was looking to go to the attorney's office today to concerning my SSD case but the weather is horribly windy an rainy (the entire radar map is green and yellow meaning moderate for more than 100 miles around us meaning moderate to heavy rain for the next several hours). Tomorrow on the other hand, mid 50s and sunny with light winds.
Oh yeah, received two letters yesterday from the SSA. Apparently my medical condition is indeed recognised as a disability and qualifies me for both Disability and Supplemental Income benefits. There is still a matter of "non medical" criteria they need to decide on before it is a done deal (not sure what that includes though I would imagine the medical qualification is the much tougher hurdle) which I should hear about in the next week or so.
Yes. I play the NY State Lotto about once a week. It's one of four major games in NY State. http://nylottery.ny.gov/wps/portal/Home/Lottery/Home
I even won $800+ once by getting 5 of 6 numbers!

(Bought a very nice printer, and paid for a crown on one of my molars.)
Two drawings a week (Wed. & Sat.) $1 tickets. About once a week I have an irresistable urge to throw away a dollar.
My guppies are having too much fun swiming to help me with laundry. oh wait they are smaller than my pinkie so I guess that is another reason they cannot help me.
agonizing over birthday cake decision.
white sheetcake with white butter cream, red valvet, mousse, or carvel ice cream cupcake cake, or go to cheesecake factory, get one slice snickers cheesecake
red velvet cheesecake swoo*oon th*udd
3D Ice Cream Cone Cake
Watch everyone’s eyes get wide when you bring freshly made premium ice cream separated by a layer of chocolate crunchies, dipped in chocolate, covered with white whipped frosting and topped with sprinkles.
140w? i could run that with my 250w powersup?
i play the take5 7 days a week
if i win the 300 million, latest dream, i'd open bed and breakfasrs for full time living
silly strings!
wee'se in a big ole convoy 1000 truckers strong 10-4 rubberduck, smokies and bears
...our state Megabucks has three drawings Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday 5 of 6 here gets between 500$ and 1,100$ while 4 of 6 wins between 35$ and 50$. There is also a bonus ,multiplier that for 1$ extra per "game" (2 lines) the prize is quadrupled for 3 of 6, 4 of 6 and 5 of 6 (not the 6 of 6 jackpot though). I've hit 4 of 6 a number of times, including with the X4 multiplier, yet to get 5 or all 6 numbers.
Yeah for me once a week, occasionally twice, I drop 1 or 2$.
...keep in mind if you take the cash instead of annual pay out, you get half the advertised jackpot (which would be 174.5$ million minus Federal and whatever percentage your state assesses in taxes). Still, that's a lot of money especially for us older folks. Best thing to do with that much, change your identity, your appearance, and find some small country to move to so you don't suddenly discover you have a much bigger family and circle of friends than you thought you had.
Maybe we need a "Lottery Winners Protection Plan" like the government does for key witnesses.
...hey, anyone seen or heard from Misty as of late? No....?
Good Mornin
starting my birthday cake weekend early. cake pops from Starbucks
cake pop, apple slices, cappuccino
starbucks cakepops aren't cake, it's like uncooked batter
convoyyyyyy
smokies and bears 2 different things?
Both derived from Smokey Bear, and refer to Highway patrol officers, cos of the hats. Bear in the air is old CB slang for a police aircraft, either fixed wing or helicopter, when it is flying over an incident.
10-4 good buddy.
CB big in Wales, wuzzit?
New product...Missing Jet. Missing jet? It's a small prop plane!!!

Used to be quite big, back in the day, all around the UK especially amongst the Country music Afficionado's and Truck drivers. I had one in my MK3 Cortina, with the aerial on a mag mount, so I could uncouple and bring it indoors, have known my boys to cart a car battery upsatairs and have chats with their mates at the other end of the estate, with the aerial stuck to a metal bedhead and hanging out the window. (when they were supposed to be abed of course)
My handle was Delta Dawn, which was also my company name when I was trying to make a living as a self employed as a costumier for reenactment societies.
