    Morning. Has been a bit of weather causing problems altho turned out it wasn't as bad as it might have been. Anyhow, dirty, tired after much road tripping and good to be home at last :)

    [plaint] ...bugger, the newsletter link to the PC+ freebie keeps giving me an ugly and useless basic HTML page with a Magento icon in the tab. It is now nearly three hours since the changeover.  This site software is a real PITA sometimes.

    Even the main page refuses to refresh to show the new items well after midnight "Daz Time".

    Getting it now here on the forums as well with a Magento icon in the tab as well.  Magento has to be the worst site management software I have ever seen.  An "upgrade" it definitely is "not" as this kind of rubbish has been going on for the last several years.

    There are times I really miss the old Daz site and this is only one of them. I can understand why Ed got so frustrated and left.

    Hard refresh,   it has been fixed for quite a while now.

    The where is my refund tool is not working right now and they said try again later.  Guess I have to wait till later to find out where my refund is.

    You know of course that financial advisors suggest that instead of letting the government accrue interest on your money during the year, you instead change your deductions so that you get more money in each paycheck which you then put into an interest bearing account you'd end up with more money in the long run. enlightened But considering that it's hard to find a bank willing to pay more than 1 percent interest on savings these days, the extra $1 of interest you'd get (if even that much) hardly seems worth it. frown  It's just so much easier to let the government bean counter minions handle your money and send it to you all in one lump sum so that you can get a false feeling of wealth for 10 seconds before you blow it on something you don't really need, which always feels soooo good. devil

    never want to owe tax money  had to pay nys tax 17 years ago, still feel traumatized.
    i have my dayjob take an xtra 5 bucks a week to give Uncle Sam.  Is nice to have that in a refund check.
    think my savings give .05 interest. >.<  and it's a savings bank, not one of those commercial jobbers.
    i luv the passbook savings, prints on a lil booklet, just like when i was a youngin.  
    i can remember life before atm cards.

    HMRC (Her Majesty's Robbers & Cutpurses) have owed me £4 for the last couple of years. Costs too much to pay back an amount that small, but I suspect this year (tax year ends April 5th) I'll be over the threshold, so it'll be back to me owing them!

    Crap.  I forgot about the $10 off a $20 purchase (good for 3 times) coupon.  Now it's gone.  You know... apparently my idea of 'good for 3 uses' is different from other peoples.  It didn't say the offer was only good for xx days.

    Same as when someone tells me something will be done 'soon'.  It seems that my idea of soon and most other peoples idea of soon is a LOT different.

    When did 'soon' come to mean weeks or months... if ever??

    Missed V Day altogether complaint. Was really hot complaint. Didn't sleep for 3 days complaint. Cooler nao not complaint. Just slept for 26 hours not complaint. Whoa feeling a bit stiff, and iz Thursday here already :)

    ...I remember geting 7.25% interest on my old S&L passbook account when I was younger.
