    Lots of old characters again. I know there are some folk still doing earlier gens, but when Daz is pushing 9 so hard, and sort of half-acknowledging 8, for them to be like "hey here's an old character that requries another old character to work right!" it's pretty well useless to any of us newer folks... because let's be real, I'm never going to go back and buy that older character.

    ...was thinking that castle might look good in a fish aquarium, though...

    oh that's a cool idea, the castle in a fish aquarium! i hope you don't feel plagiarized if i ever do a render like that! ok, chances that i actually do something i think i might perhaps do are 50-50. or rather 20-80 lol. let's be honest... pathetic pathological procrastinator here! but still, i might. maybe perhaps possibly. i won't forget to mention you as the inspiration tho ^^ i can search my posts if i forgot your name.

    I think it's a pretty good selection. There's a G8 outfit, the castle looks great (and would be quite expensive at full price), and I already had Ana-Sofia but I think she's very pretty.

    I'm happy with the haul of free stuff. Picked up 7 items - even some stuff I wanted and hadn't got around to buying in there. I'll just say thanks Daz.

    Happy to be inspiration, if it turns out useful to you! I have zero plans for rendering an aquarium, anyway. I just have one IRL and thought the model looked rather like one I had in there for a while.

    The castle is one of two items I paid for earlier this month as a mad door prize item. Not going to complain as I like it enough to pay that much. My plan is to use it as a background building in an UltraScenery XT landscape. Possibly with a dragon perched on a roof. Regards, Richard

    But yawn, there are no bundles.

    Previously there were some decent bundles in the freebies and I do not see anything.

    So please include a bundle as well for cash strapped people, this would make a real difference.

    A light is a light... As I can see, lights works in both Iray and 3Delight (Filament is a bit more limited).

    That's not exactly true, 3DL light shaders like these or these (or sets of lights based on those) do not work at all in Iray.

    Light sets based on DS default lights can be made to work but will require adjustments as the settings used by both render engines are not the same.

    It is a varied assortment with objects in addition to characters, hair and clothes for genesis, genesis 2 and genesis 3. Among the freebies there is also the "high low skirt" dress of which they have already given us the textures previously.

    I missed or skipped the textures, though I do have a ton of shaders! I think it'll be ok. Some of the stuff seems really old, though could still be useful.

    Yeah, I'm thinking those textures must've been before I got here a year and a halfish ago, but I looked them up and would've been more likely to use my own shaders anyway. Hoping it plays nice on a G9! We shall see!

    I thought the sudden rush of new freebies might be for use with Filatoon - the hairs especially look like they will render well in that engine.

    Until recently, newsletter freebies lasted a month, but the shorter-lasting freebies have been newer and higher-quality. It's worth watching for them.

    There was a Genesis version released on the same day - I guess they got the promo pics mixed up?
