Many thanks @emanuela1 and DAZ!
The new biweekly freebies are available at this link: Free 3D Models and Content | Daz 3D.
A very good assortment of outfit, hair from genesis to genesis 3 and environments.
Swim Cap Hair for Genesis
The Treasure Beast
Actual Eyes 4
Mec4D The Vampire Huntress for Genesis 2 Female(s)
Battle Kimono for Genesis 2 Female(s)
Sexy Time Lingerie
Office Wear for Genesis 3 Female(s)
Long Shag Hair for Genesis 3 Female(s)
Kameron Hair for Genesis 3 Male(s)
Mistress Arachne Outfit Textures
Aslan Theater
Pavilion Walkway
It is good. I've wanted the Treasure Beast for a long time. Plus several of the outfits have low heeled boots! Even the thigh boots in the Vampire Huntress have sensible heels! The office outfit is G1 but it too is a rarity: female professional attire that covers less than half the club wear in the store.
I'm jiving on that theater. I have the base already, and I didn't even know this add-on existed!
I'll agree, it's a good mix. I don't have the prerequisites for the theater. I grabbed it anyway.
The theater is interesting even without the required products: chairs, carpets, lights and wall drapes are working without requiring the other products, so at worse, you'll have to find another room to use.
The stage will load too but it is using textures from the required products.
Good to know. Thanks
A screenshot after loading one of the preset: outside of the white surfaces, everything else loaded fine:
Looks useful on its own. Will have to give it a spin.
New freebies are up :)
Not that I complain, but it's a bit strange to have the helmet included with the motorbike and not the racer outfit
https://www.daz3d.com/galactic-racer-motorcycle
Looking at the discussion linking the motorbike, it made for perplexed buyers when they didn't find any poses with it.
I have to show a prosaic side here. I'm more bothered by the lack of a mudguard for the tyres than the absense of poses or suit in that motorcycle.
Having had many years on two wheels, I feel protection from spray, stones and dirt flung out by the tyres is more important than almost everything else...
Generally a nice range of freebies today.
Regards,
Richard
It's a 'Galatic Racer Motorcycle™', not a mundane mopped, so it doesn't need mudguard 0:)
Anyway, it's an excellent collection, with items for Genesis 8 as well (in addition to 2 and 3), and the only texture in the list is useful, because it's for an item that had already been given away for free previously. A nice addition to the list of items that can be used in the freebie contest.;)
Only Lilith hd seems useless, without Lilith, but I downloaded it anyway, you never know.
Many thanks for the HU @Elor!
I'm not likely to use the bike but very well might use the helmet, so I'll be glad for the oddity!
Meanwhile I had to giggle a bit at the description of https://www.daz3d.com/i13-visions-in-white -- "A fun, artistic, modern, and sexy room environment" -- of all the words I'd use to describe that environment, have to say, "sexy" wasn't the first in my head.
Although, given that PA's other offerings, I suppose every environment is a sexy environment?
Well crafted, though, and I've harvested a lot of that PA's sets for parts, so I'm quite pleased to see it in the offerings, regardless!
...sadly the Cowboy Outfit base was apparently a freebie before I started, but what the heck, might as well grab the texture set. Maybe the base will come abck around.
I don't know why, but Absinthe has pretty much HAUNTED me once I started using G8.
Getting her and so out of the list of products is a RELIEF XD
Good group of items.
Out of curiosity I unchecked the "hide items I own" and saw the 70's living room props set... which I would be super excited over if I hadn't bought it ages ago. Great set, though, and I've gotten solid use out of it. Super generous as a freebie.
very happy with today's bi-weeklies! ^^ nice selection
That robot arm is one of the 1st products I ever bought, waaaaay back
I forgot I had the living room. They are both very nice sets. And two furniture sets in case you don't have the kitschy room. Only things I passed on were the Lilith HD, since I wouldn't use the HD even if I picked up Lilith 7 and Absynthe, who is SO not my style. Neither is The Sheriff outfit but picked it up because I could use a few of the accessories for kitbashing.
Those bracers on the Sheriff outfit could come in handy, and maybe the hat. The boots have sensible heels, too, which is... refreshing.
I waffled on Absynthe, but in the end I got her for the nail options and such. (But then, I kind of have bupkis for G8s, having started with G9, so if I ever do want to load up a G8 I'm a bit starved for options).
Hmm, I will have to take a closer look at the Absynthe nails. I wonder if the makeups would be more appealing to me on another character? It's the puffy-pursed lips and plucked-and-drawn-on eyebrows I can't stand.
Agree on The Sheriff - it was the bracers, hat, & flat boots I was thinking of. Maybe I will be ambitious & reshader the whole outfit for cyberpunk genre with lots of neon and circuit patterns. Especially in the games Edgerunners will wear ANYTHING, no matter how unsuitable for skulking & sneaking.
I'd love to see the results if you do that cyberpunk kitbash!
For Absynthe - there was an interesting lipstick option, I thought, with the overlays, and the nails had a couple non-standard colors. There's a dark blue for the eyes, too, that struck me as unique, and I could maybe use the body with a different face. She has a very distinctive look, and I get where it would be fabulous for those situations where one needs that look, though that'd be pretty rare for me. Maybe she'd show up as a background character at a Halloween party, or if I ever did a render set at the restaurant that used to be downtown, affectionately known as Fembers. It was frequented by the exceptionally flamboyant, and she'd fit right in. Certainly not something I would've paid money for, but hey, if she's going to be free... might come in handy.
Absynthe is strong with Twizted Metal's aesthetic. I'm sure the makeup is compatible with other characters, and I might use the morph at very low strength for certain types of character. These are freebies. Can't complain. L7 HD morph is nice.to have, a lovely gift. The motorcycle is a wild fantasy design. I already had it, and it's also a nice gift. In all, I shall say Thanks Daz, and go on my merry way.
...some nice furniture sets and an interesting sci-fi vehicle. I was actually was surprised to see that I already have the Cowboy Outfit. (I rarely have the base clothing for textures that are free or in the Outlet Store)..
That said, looks loke no Golden Ticket discount for the big Flash Sale as it's back to G9 characters.. Though it was nice havng AM's Whale Shark and Stonemason Galaxy Diner., .
Absinthe is rather extreme and not a character that I would have ever got. But one of my fun passtimes with DAZ is to try some of the free characters that are not my cup of tea and see what I get. I turned Absinthe's head morph down to about 65%, removed and replaced her eyebrows.
At 65%, Absinthe's face sculpt creates a more interesting and less extreme character. Also decided to try out an outfit and the cute quoll I got this week.
nice!
Oh yes, she looks much better and more versatile in your portrait. I was thinking about new eyebrows as part of my makeover for her.
