Nice to see a few outfits for G3, especially for male. I've been lacking in that department and I never go out of my way to search for stuff for them, but I love to use G3 for background figures.
This time there is a very useful assortment of fairly recent and quality things. Only the texture is for a dress that I do not own. Thanks so much DAZ.!:)

Quick question - are the Portrait Lights products in this batch compatible with Iray?
I'd doubt it, but can't confirm for certain. The character in the promo image seems to be a G2 character, and Iray seems to have come in near the start of G3.
V7 is Iray at SKU21750, the lights are SKU17533, so a bit earlier & less likely to be Iray. Apart from deduction, I really don't know. However as they're free at the moment, it may be worth trying anyway.

A light is a light... As I can see, lights works in both Iray and 3Delight (Filament is a bit more limited).
Off the top of my head, some settings have to be changed on point lights for them to start emitting lights in Iray, when they were set for a 3Delight.
At least, I think I had to do that with the castle room that was offered as a freebie some time ago.
Okay... thank you all. I'm still getting the hang of lights and compatibility and whatnot. I picked them up and will make a note to give them a try, but to be prepared to fuss with it a bit.
I think lights designed for 3Delight need to be made much brighter in Iray, but I must admit I'm not sure of the ratios.

3Delight Intensity isn't used by Iray, and Iray light values are not used by 3Delight - so they will most likely have their default values, while the Iray Tonemapping will also be at default (that is, a bright day outside). I would usually suggest adjusting Tone mapping (exposure, in effect) first, unless the scene is meant to be a bright day outside.
hmmm... so, the biweeklies had made serious progress a little while ago, like a great change from the dusty old outdated breadcrumbs we got for years inclusive an insane number of clone little dresses and/or the textures for them. for a while, everything was a lot more recent, varied, including a lot a male stuff, interesting, i was happy again to visit the freebie page every 2 weeks.
however, i don't write it up, compare or make statistics, but to me subjectively, it seems the trend is quieting down a bit. short, lately i rather go "meh" again every 2 weeks, and IF i download something, like today's castle only (i already had the cool wezor hair, the only item that was really cool and matched the recent "good freebies" trend). it's more like "ah well, it's free, it's kinda a little bit not so bad, and who knows, i might need the odd castle in the background at some point and won't need to care much about if it's iray, showing recent textures or what... maybe... perhaps.. and hey it's free" - like a million things on sharecg etc. that's my poor person mentality speaking there, like "don't ignore free stuff, you can't afford any new/expensive stuff anyways", even if i never really wanted it in the 1st place. but chances that i ever use all those freebies i wasn't really really interested in are very very thin, they just gather pixel dust in my DIM because i didn't even download them, i just "own" them.
please daz, keep up the good work and the good freebies offerings of recent months! otherwise, what's the point really... i AM thankful, but not always, it really depends on what we get. for me, people should just go "wow, cool!" and be happily surprised every 2 weeks by those freebies, feeling that daz is really giving out something worth. no offence to the PAs who created those freebies, back then they were certainly awesome (and it's my personal choice not to use any female stuff at all). but i see a too big gap between all the top notch stuff happening/being sold on daz NOW, and those freebies when they're like in the not so far past i.e. outdated.
if it was a shop, would you feel happier/valued as a customer if they gave you some good edibles fresh from the day for free - or yesterday's sandwiches that are still edible according to the date but yeah...

Agreed, not as good as it has been. Just like MM. I did pick up the castle as well as the G2 Flirt outfit, for the top only, however.
