Edit: Does work with some items in the PA sale, but not with the Aiko face morphs (which are showing at 58% for no apparent reason.)

My initial thought is that I quite like her as a Victoria replacement, and I like the Starter Bundle over the Pro Bundle for once, but I'm not really seeing any "big savings" compared to other character releases.

I saw the email and thought, "Who's Sunny 7??" Then I saw....

She's nice, but so totally the wrong month. I'll catch her after the two months when she goes on sale again.
at moment she is priced at $56.68 which is cheaper than most pro intro discounts as part of the paf but there may still be another added discount from previous pro bundle purchases offers they've had lately which sometimes dosen't get offered till later in day/night or the next day
probably few will miss this just seeing the main promo pic maybe lookat one or two more but the airial dancer outfit has a few different looks styles actually several different outfits really have a few different uses
did price test if buy pro bundle and say one or more of the texture addons pro costs at moment $47.23, and textures between $4.53 - $4.54
There have been speculation about Sunny 7 for a while, as there was a name slip a couple months ago, I believe - I was expecting Sunny 7 to be a guy.
In all honesty I don't see anything special about her (or at least not special enough to warrent her being an official "7" character).
Don't get me wrong, I think she's really cute! I just thought that the official numbered figures where supposed to fill a nitch that wasn't there. She just looks like a character you could get with some dial morphing. I mean, there is a reason for the higher prices of these figures, right? There has to be. $45 (base price) just seams kind of rediculous for a character that doesn't really give us anything new that other regular G3F characters don't. I think she's really cute, but I'm just not getting what is so special about her that it warrents charging $45 (again just base price) for?
Again, she's totally cute, just not seeing what the deal is with all the "7" figures that don't really give us anything really new or unique and slapping a $45 price tag on it.
I hope I'm just being all jaded and stuff. Maybe, hopefully, she'll grow on me and I'll see the need for her to be a special "7" figure.
I went to look at my purchases to check on this. I paid:
$6.61 for Tween Ryan Pro Bundle (haha I don't think we can count that one.)
$40.90 for Tween Julie Pro (+ additional purchases)
$39.67 for Kenji Pro (+ additional purchase)
$46.29 for Aiko Pro (+ additional purchase)
Sunny is $47.23 if you buy something else on top, so same sort of range as Aiko. The Starter is $31.48 with an additional purchase.
Yeah, not a fan of some of the mouth poses- but I do really appreciate the closeup shots showing them. I like one of the outfits (Aerial Dancer- so lovely!) and a hair, and Edit: the starter bundle has EXACTLY what I want. I don't care for the other hair- the hairline has one long strand protruding into the forehead. The only thing not usable is the Quinn outfit, it's not usable for my children's book series (in progress.) I think Sunny has some nice potential.
This is where I'm at too. She looks cute, but ... lots of PA notVictorias are cute. Why does she need a massive price jump and new UVs? None of the PA characters do. The aerial outfit looks really useful and with plenty of options, as well as the matching poses, but at that point I feel like I'm meant to just get the figure as well (especially because it includes the Raziel/Silver figure who is even prettier than Sunny) but then... what is the point of her? Why couldn't Lindsey just have been based off G3F's shape? I'm not seeing any real answer to the official figure issues.
I was really happy with Aiko because she changes the gene pool considerably, and again with Star who isn't actually a DO character but gives many, many more additions and options than any Daz base figure does.

It was pointed out by vwrangler in another thread that she actually uses the G3F UVs. Since the only other character that did was Izabella (a Thorne character) and she looks like an older Josie (once seen cannot be unseen) I would suppose that there is a chance that she is another Thorne character.
Regarding the mouth, I saw one render I didn't particularly care for, but others may like that style. If you use this link and look at the graphic that says Sunny 7 Starter Bundle- I don't particularly care for that Sunny on the far right- the corners of her mouth pucker up a bit too much for my preferences. Rather like an indentation into the face.
I think she's gorgeous and I love her skin and the long hair, but nothing else in the bundle interests me, except maybe the Linsey character.... I agree though that she could be a regular PA item, there's nothing THAT different about her, but I do think she's stunning, especially with that hair! I'm guessing she's supposed to be Hispanic which is a new mix as far as ethnicities go. But the name doesn't seem to match, I thought Sunny would be a Malibu beach blonde...
Hmm, she does look better with her mouth closed though, with it open it looks a bit like Tween Julie!s mouth which I didn't like...
OMG, they actually showed a Poser promo render for soleil hair!!! I have never seen them use a Poser render since DS first came out!
And there's also a labeled 3Delight render for Soleil as well. It would be pushing things -- really really REALLY hard -- to call it "clearly labeled", but if you're willing to squint a little, the render before the Poser render definitely says "3Delight render". It's the only one I've seen so far that I can tell.
The long hair looks great - until you look at the hair line. I'm not sure what's going on there but it looks really off.
I agree with Xyer0 and Mary that Sunny 7 could easily have been placed in the Teen Josie family as she looks like she could be late teens to early 20's. Alternatively, she could have been placed in the Victoria 7 family as a young V7. Like many other people I think her face is really gorgeous, one of the best for G3F yet, but I see no reason for her being placed as a separate family. What is distinct about her? She is not the youngest, or oldest, or thinest, or fattest or... anything really. Sunny 7 is just a gorgeous character who could belong to one of a few existing G3F families. I have read (haven't downloaded her yet) that she does not have her own UVs. Hurray for that!
To be honest though, if Sunny 7 is meant to be a late teen to early 20's character, the skin texture on the base Sunny 7 looks too old (more like late 20's to 30's), at least from the promo pics. Perhaps too many hours sunbathing without proper sun protection? I wish that the PA had used a younger live model to obtain the skin textures (or one that used sun screen!). Whilst there are only a few (why??) promo pictures for Lindsey for Sunny 7, they at least show a skin texture which appears to be more in keeping with the apparent age of the character.
Fortunately, Lindsey is in the Starter Bundle, unfortunately the Sunny Hair is not! From a customer point of veiw I had expected (and hoped for) the Sunny Hair to be with Sunny in the starter bundle, but alas no. Now I may have to buy the Pro bundle even though it has only one extra item I consider worth having. There is the art of making bundles.
Well technically you could buy the Starter Bundle then use the Sunny Hair to trigger the PA sale 10% discount on both. But at the price you might as well get the Pro Bundle at that point.

Yeah, she's very pretty, but a non HD character that's twice the price of all the other pretty HD PA characters? And if history is any indicator she's unlikely to even get a separate HD morph to pay even more money for. I'm still umming and ahhing over it because of Lindsey and the Aeriel outfit & poses, but I'm being increasingly put off by these marketing strategies.
I'm sure people who don't care about price or details will eat her up in droves, so that's nice, But when you really look at it, the older generations of characters all had their own niches. Genesis 3 becomes ever more a blur of stamping a 7 badge on characters that should really just be standard PA characters but they know will sell. It's most likely working since they're still doing it, but personally I'm a bit over it. Wake me up when there's a Genesis 3 Skeleton/Anatomy bundle and Cat & Dog (and kitten & puppy) 7.

Back to sunny 7: hum....just why? I don't really see the point. Even in the bundle. Maybe I'm missing something. She looks like a teen to me (late teen, ok). the feet seem really tall. The skin is really tanned/dark. It should have been more usefull to see a less tanned skin and eventually make it darker by ourselves (the oposite is a bit tricky)
So is she supposed to be like cute fantasy latina or something? : )

Does anyone else think Sunny 7 looks a bit like a young Catherine Zeta Jones?
Whilst not a latino or hispanic (she is Welsh, though I have no idea of her ancestry), Catherine Zeta Jones was cast as Elena Montero in the Mask of Zorro and apparently can pass easily as hispanic.
Looks nice, but too much Victoria7 in her to make her really special.
Is it just me thinking that V4 had more individual traits in her morphs than these new generations?
I include at least one 3delight render of all my hairs sold by Daz. And iff the hair fits genesis 2 I also include a Poser render, eg Tyler Hair recently. I'm still on the "if the mat is included, show a render" team :)
Note: The "3delight render" logo is not strictly Daz official... Daz official is if a DS render doesn't say "iray" then it's meant to be 3delight as 3delight was the original default engine.
And obviously the Poser render logo is not Daz official...

I was getting a Selina gomez vibe off her, myself.
She looks a lot like the college students I see around town. She fits more in the 'ballerina/aerialist' type than the usually 'athletic' type. Although, as is typical for Daz, still on the tall size for most. At 5' 9" I still tend to tower over most of them. Picked up the Pro Bundle, 'First Date' outfit textures, Kool's flight attendant outfit, Konstantin for Ivan 7. All for slightly less than the usual price of a single pro bundle. Not a bad deal in my opinion.

Also, I do really like the ballerina/aerielist theme. The bundle would probably appeal more to me if I stop trying to think of it as a Daz character and just as a bundle for that theme.
