    well the only 7 characters I don't have now are girl 7, guy 7 and Julie 7. Maybe in future should complete the set and catch them all just to have them all even if I don't use them. Think I've got most of the pro bundles now too. Downloading content onto my new computer and not counting the base Daz program, Carrara and it's contents or Bryce and it's install contents my DIM says I'm downloading 165 GB+ so with these programs and ryan probably hitting around 170gb

    Thanks, DAZ! The 90% discount was awesome. I wasn't going to buy Ryan but couldn't resist for the price.

    Ooooh, I just found the 60% offer banner.  Added my PC $6 to that and got the pro bundle for $20.45.  This is apparently for purchasing 6 Genesis 3 characters.  I definitely have far more than that so perhaps it's just the Daz Originals/major characters this applies to?

    Don't think that is possible, at least not by simple clicking. The image attached shows Everyday updo next to Christina hair (also from OOT). With everyday a blended in some blonde on the bun. First of all one cannot apply the base texture from Everyday to the other hair. Switching hairblending on and selecting the second color to blend in has also no effect on the other hair. I won't say that it is impossible at all to apply but one might need to play around with surfaces a little.

    Regarding a solution which works on all hair I can only recommend UHT/UHT2, which does a marvelous job. OOT has a product called IrayPair over at Rendo which also can be applied to all hair.

    He looks so sad tho.....I can feel a story behind this, rather than it just being a "simple portrait". I'm seeing more there.

    In another thread somewhere, DAZ_Steve (I think) specifically said that there would be no Justin, whether Tween or Young Teen, because his sales had been terrible. Same with Hiro, which resulted in Kenji. I'm not sure I get the logic in not reusing the name if you're producing an equivalent figure anyway, but ... whatever.

    I guess he's OK from a very Poser/Dazish perspective. But... sigh, he doesn't actually look very human. Maybe he wasn't meant to be.

    To me he looks no better nor worse than the dozens of his predecessors.

    maybe it's some sort of copyright techniqual issue more of a legal thing, legal departments can cause problems for those they work for over complicating things for them

    Meh. I wanted to buy the pro package along with Julie, but for some odd reason my credit card was refused this time.
    And today, totally as expected, the promo offer for Julie ended. Man, that sucks. :(

    I felt the same way when I saw it. I was like - hmmm there's a story here. In my head he's hiding from school bullies. Maybe it will turn out like The Never Ending Story. :D I haven't seen that movie in years, I should totally rewatch it.

    It could but remember that only the Daz Characters such as Eva 7, Olympia 7 etc count.

    Does anybody know what outfit  Ryan is wearing in the Base Character promo?  The denim vest outfit?

    Oh never mind!!  If I'd finished downloading the Pro bundle, I would have found it.

    The product page lists Ryan at 5'1"; the CDC growth chart for boys says that this is a very tall 12 year old, or an average 14 year old.  So, perhaps more a 'young teen' than 'tween', depending on where you personally put the definitions.

    Hopefully, the DIM anomaly that keeps me from seeing (let alone downloading) new purchases will get fixed soon and I can try it out...

    I never understood that, myself. Characters like Freak I can understand, where his niche was pretty much broken-up into characters like Gianni and Ivan. But Kenji and Ryan are pretty much Hiro and Justin simply under different names. If I had to guess the strategy behind that, I suspicion would be that they figured that a new name would make the characters feel newer and more interesting. "No, this isn't the same old Hiro that you clearly didn't like, this is 'Kenji', he's COMPLETELY new and not at all a shadow of his predecessor!" "This is TWEEN Ryan, you've NEVER seen anything like him before in our store!" "Why don't you *$BUY$* them and see just how different and unexplored they are! :D"

    Thats right. DAZ has offered me 90% off Tween Ryan 7. After my usual PC discount, that means that I can get the base figure for $2.20. The discount was awarded as a result of purchasing 9 or more G3 characters.

    Personally, I never intended to get this character because I already have Growing Up. But at 2.20, at least id get sonme cheap character materials.
