Oh, I dunno... Flash Sale - police cars have flashing lights. Right?

  • It is all my fault, you know.

As an aside - the "Look To The Stars," promo today... is it just me, or is there some poke through on the left arm, at the elebow, of the kid at the far left staring out at the Earth?

Looks like she's flashing a bit of skin there yes (and her shoes have melted into the floor as well).

A hand, for example, is a box with five cyllinders coming out from the front, and a fifth one off the back poly of one side.

    Been modeling too many monsters?

    Never! Me loves Valandar's beasties!

(My very first dragon was his free Landdragon with Wings - I still like it, even when it's old)

With the PA sale going on, there doesn't seem to be too much attentoin on FastGrab items. The previous items were in fastgrab for several days without changing.

Which is okay for me, we have a couple of 80+% off sales during the festival, so a 70% off sale is not a big deal now. :)

I hope we'll see a better selection of items in fastgrab after the PA sales.

A lot of items are naturally more expensive due to the market back then. If it's any consolation, they were just on Mega Fast Grab...

    Different strokes... . .

I would have been happy as Larry to see any John Malis M3 products in Fastgrab any time in the last couple of years. 70% is pretty good if you want stuff from an artist whose work is seldom on sale.

This sale may have made a V3 and Uzilite fan or two real stoked.

  • I had wrote this post, and then didn't post it...

A Victoria 3 pantsuit for $8 is a good deal?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one that thought that was kind of a silly "sale".

  • I considered getting Moons over Saturn when it was in the bigger sale.  But couldn't justify it with everything else I was buying.

for anyone that picked up the latest fastgrab items, how well do they autiofit?? They have been in my wishlist forever and was thinking of picking a couple up since they rarely go on sale, but since i only use genesis 3, need to know how well the nesh holds up first.

There are some Uzilite outfits for V3 that users autofitted here in this thread http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/113931/why-is-so-much-cool-stuff-for-older-generation-figures#latest, it looks like they hold up well.

Pretty much all of John Malis's store was 83% off a couple of days back (if you bought a new release), and I grabbed a stack of his stuff for just a few dollars each.

Yep, I'd been holding on to $60 all through the sale just in case his stuff showed at a good price but gave up hope and grabbed a new GPU, a couple of preloved monitors, 16 gigs of RAM and a KVM set on Sunday arvo (Utah+18). Cleared all my card accounts to under $30 each.... two hours later that sale appeared LOL.

Still, by getting a cheap texture set for a GF3 outfit that I'll probably never buy I did manage to squeeze in everything I wanted of his except the Theseus and Minotaur set so I'm reasonably happy.

Edit: Typed this in about an hour and a half or more ago then walked off without posting it. Lucky it's not a late tax return.

If it were $5 I would likely have bought them.  However, prices were once quite a bit higher than today; DAZ from 2001, thanks to the Wayback Machine...

Wow, and considering inflation that was a LOT back then. Dang, this hobby was pretty much a rich person's hobby back in the day. lol

Well - you would have to buy a computer that was able to render - quite a lot of money in those days too.

  • I was a member of Elfwood, a digital art community, around 1997. There was a guy there always trying to get me to get involved in 3D digital art. I looked into it, and it was outrageously expensive.

I wish I had gotten in that early now... but... I couldn't justify the startup costs back then.

  • Oso3DOso3D Posts: 15,085

I did 3d digital art in the 90s.

It was flippin depressing, because home PCs made really really basic stuff, and I'd see stuff made by big companies and just... ugh. Ended up giving up on it around 2000, then coming back to it 2 years ago.

They're now showing the discounted price.

  • Does the extra 20% count toward gift cards?

  • anikadanikad Posts: 1,919

I've read the 20% was working on gift cards.
