I think Daz Studio was already able to get it pretty close to "realism", the slight push with Stable Diffusion turned out cool, IMO.

I completely skipped it this morning because I wasn't paying that for something labelled as a desk and a chair. Your post encouraged me to have a look. It's not a desk; it's a bureau. Completely different thing and a very nicely executed product. It matches perfectly the bureau that one of my characters uses.

A Thread for Items with the "Editorial License"

For my own (additional) 2 cents:

I use Daz as a Hobby (a Expensive hobby, considering all I've spent on it and Poser over the years). That being said, throughout my life I've spend a disproportional amount on whatever happened to be my hobby at the time (Comics, Paperback Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels, TTRPGs, etc. ......yes, I'm a HUGE geek ^_^)

I would never try to charge someone to view my images, mainly because I simply don't think I'm good enough to do so (although I'm pleased that some have asked that over the years as well ^_^), but also because this is a Hobby, and I don't want it to become another Job I have to worry about getting right or loose my income from it.

Back to the topic of these "Fan Art Addons": I would probably have a better time accepting it if they simply offered the base, 'generic' items at maybe a little higher price, then gave us the 'Fan Art Addon' for free if you purchased it. That way they aren't truly making money off of a copyrighted franchise.

I even know one content producer here who made some 'Generic Alien/Fantasy Race' body morphs for Genesis 3/8. At his own site, however, he offered for free various Head/Face morphs that turned those generic bodies into the races from the "Mass Effect" series of games (and I saw the head morphs first, which led me to here to get the bodies). As I recall, in the 'generic set', he also included some 'Forehead/Nose ridges', and 'Elf Earl' that were clearly Klingons/Bajorans/Vulcans.

This is only the second 'Ferengi' morph I've seen (the other was for Victoria 4, and even it was a 'For Pay' morph). Maybe because they aren't 'conventionally attractive', not many of the Freebie content creators have made such a morph? ^_^

Applying Makeup to G9 UV on G8.1? SOLVED

Hi all. I've been unsuccessfully trying to apply various makeups (Angela 9, Victoria 9, etc.) to a G8.1F character that is using G9 UVs for G8 & G8.1F. I'm selecting both the figure and the geograft, but I'm getting no visible makeup on render. Does anyone know the trick?

Sorry for being a thread necromancer, but the amount of times I have seen "G9 Feminine Skin 01 MAT" aka Victoria 8.1 for G9 from the starter essentials being bundled with characters all over the place, be it here or at RH is staggering if it's not a merchant resource.

Me too. In my book Discarded, a memoir about my 5th husband, the custom adobe house we built inr. Victoria BC, was created from inspiring drives thru Utah. His parents were Jehova Witness ministers,who lived in Utah.

It stood out like a sore thumb amongst the other Victorian styled homes in the subdivision.

I think the house looks just fine and the neighbor who might know you sister is currently in Nova Scotia so can't ask if he knew her till he gets back.

Help identifying character used in Promo by Xart

She looks like Victoria 9 or a mix with Victoria 9 to me. You could probably get something similar by giving V9 thick, dark eyebrows and then maybe adjusting the lips and nose.

The [Disco Chives] Misplaced Parrot Complaint Thread

Popin' in here to drop off a ramble that I'd put into the wrong thread. That thread had mentioned Australia but I went way off topic and started reminiscing. But figured the good folks in this thread would know how to properly ignore it, so here it is:

Back in '95, I was in Australia for 5 weeks, mostly New South Wales and Queensland but some Northern Territories too, and I never heard anyone saying "no worries mate", they would however say "no woories maiyt". I was afraid to go to Victoria because of the language difficulties.

All accent kidding aside, my host explained that the accent has mellowed in the last 50 years. To demonstrate, he introduced me to an old timer (veteran of WW-II) whose manner of speech was really difficult to understand. Sort of like running into a 90 year old West Virginia hill person chawin' tobaccy while 'splainin' history with 50% words and colloquialisms I'd never heard before.

Non-complaint: OK, talking about Austrialia again got my rememberin' meat (i.e. brain) humming. While in Austrialia, I stayed with a person who had come to Washington DC, back in the late '80s. We (Max & I) took him up to the Buffalo area on a few hundred mile drive through the Pennsylvania & NY forests, to see Niagara Falls and to my parent's house to see how typical country people live. After my Max had died, I returned the visit with a trip to Cairns, Queensland. At the time, I was on my year long motorcycle trip around the US, and was sporting a nice short Mohawk haircut, I was in the peak of my conditioning, big muscular biker in my 40s. My host took me to his local pub a couple of times but made sure that I understood that he would be introducing me as his "Red Indian friend from the US". Um, OK, sure, no woories maiyt.
