I THINK I finally got the "Redz version" with Singular Blues morph worked out. I transferred Monique 7 and Karen 7. The only issue that jumps out to me is that the eye textures from the Genesis 3 materials don't seem to fit right some times. When that happened, I just used Genesis 8 eye materials.

Real curly, the brows and the body hair (if you're making a male G8F) autofit just fine, so I left those til last. I suppose it's be no harm to update them too though, so they appear in the Genesis 8 folder.

Here I mixed my converted Karen 7 with Victoria 8. The skin is Karen's, but I modified the settings. The earrings, necklace, and dress are all autofit from G3F. The eye materials are from one of the G8F characters, maybe Duffy; I forgot which one i used. The dress texture is from PD Iray Shader Kit 2. The lighting and background are from a free HDRI from textures.com. I recolored the Real Curly hair, too, to coordinate with her brows. I haven't tried the Oh My Brows on G8F yet. Oh, and I used the G8F Great Lashes, too. There's always more to try and more to learn.

The Victoria 8 base model sure, 3 hair packs can be handy 2 pose packs and a bunch of cloths

As a starter pack no mophs and cloths that many will not use

I wonder if its not a better style of sale to put out the Victoria 8 base body and line upa bunch of packs maybe 18  or 20 odd of a price ranges the same as the packs in the over all bundle and say tou maybe pick a number of these to make up your pack.

The reasoning behind this is simple money is really hard for me (I know, I'm not the only one) and I need to get use out of every pack I buy, so buying a bundle that has maybe a base item and ONE suit of gear I'd use is pointless and a waste of money IMHO, putting a bundle on sale with mostly stuff I'd not use is just not an attraction to me. As a starter bundle for a promtion of this Char:

would have added far more interest to me. Why? simple, the free Base Gen 8 download allows one to load a gen 8 Char but is quite limited, the clothing in the pack

I'm simply thinking Daz could maybe sell more if they offered a make you own sale bundle based on a bunch of choices they offer $94 is more like #150 for me so I need to be really pickie, and I wonder in fact if the compay even gives a second thought to the product value to their clients base on the clients localtion, yes your probley right they just simply DON'T care

for some reason, Victoria 4 doesn't appear in the Transfer tab's dropdown Source menu.  Genesis and Genesis 2 and 3 Male and Female are there in the list, but no Victoria 4.

any idea why this might be happening?  i do have V4 and related Generation 4 characters and morph content in my runtime. 

the plugin's registered, and loads and transfers G1 and G2 morphs like a charm.

V4, M4 (plus M3 etc) do not appear in the drop down source list. Instead you need to press the "Load Figure" option and browse to a V4 CR2. The best option is to select a V4 CR2 that has already had V++ morphs, and other relevant morphs already injected, but if not, you can inject the morphs in the Gen X tab (ie via "Apply Pose").

If I open a Victoria 4 figure in DAZ Studio - and create a body pose - can I save that pose in some file format so that I could apply that pose to a Victoria 4 figure in Poser?  What would I save the DS pose as?

The Wild West stuff today is gorgeous. Going to have to wishlist though. Pretty tapped out at the moment. 

I know! So tempted by the Desperado Outfit! Too bad there's no extra discount for buying more than one item, because I would jump on the Outfit expansion as well. @Luthbel's work is top-notch!

It just so happens that I was trying to do the Old West Mercantile, but ran into a few issues which have been solved (in record time). So I'll probably take a shot at that soon!

Now, if Daz made it "Buy V8 Pro Bundle for $66 and choose 3 other pro bundles you don't already own (1 out of each previous generation, to be fair)," I'd be all over that deal in flash!  Right now, my discount is $6 off and I would get a few cool items that I didn't already have.  But, most of these are fairly redundant poses and clothing items.  So, I'm not hating the deal.  But, I'd really love to be able to take advantage of the same savings that a new Victoria buyer would get and pick out some full pro bundles that I haven't already bought most of the items. 

This would've been amazing! I'm hoping they do something like this for other figures. I'll keep my eye out for Lee and MeiLin, if I decide to jump the G8 bandwagon. Mostly, though, it'll depend if Wear Them All expanded over to include G8 (cause I've come to rely a lot in this product).

Ya know, it occurs to me that the V8 Pro at $66 with another 30% off is $46.  So, if you bought all the Victoria bundles in the past, you'd now save $20 off V8.  You wouldn't be getting a bunch more stuff because you already own it all.  However, if you hadn't purchased any of the items in the various Victoria pro bundles over the years (unlikely I know), and bought V8 at $66, now, you'd save around $300 and get a ton of cool items.

I forgot about these as I never bought pro bundles beyond the original Genesis, but now that I have all of the Victoria bundles thanks to the recent V8 offer, I grabbed it.

So I am having some trouble with the new characters. When I load them in they look dark, like in the image. From left to right those are Gen3, Gen8, Victoria 8 and Elizabeth 8. Now the fix I'm using now is selecting the skin in the surface tab and lowering Translucency Weight down, but I don't know why this is happening in the first place. Is this the default behaviour? How can I make it so the figure loads with correct default settings?

When Victria 8 is selected I only see content for Victria 8, the sales pitch was old content could be used with her. I can grab and place it on her if I deselect her but it does not seam to work as well as old versions of Victoria.

I'm not sure I want to know what the Genus and Genomic are.

Are you using the boots on the figure they were made for? Have you looked to see if they coem with a morph to fit the feet to the boots, or a preset to simply hide the feet?

yes, Im using Onyx boots with Victoria 5. 

No there are no posing morphs unfortunately

They line up perfectly if the foot is straight, but as soon as you bend the foot, they stay behind. 

First I thought that it is caused by this new double layer glossy thing, but turning this off does not help at all. Any other ideas?

Oh, yes, I have upgraded to the latest version of DAZ Studio and my video card drivers are also up to date.

"Volume" Group, "Transmission" and "Scattering": method of calculations has been slightly changed, on both a fixed scale of 0.010 is now used. (Looks like DAZ started to adjust the Iray Uber to MDL/Iray's default meter world space scene scale for once, intstead of everytime have to adjust the plugin to Studio's centimeter world space scene scale when Iray gets an update). Also, Scattering now uses different coefficients for the red, green and blue wavelength ranges on the chromatic SSS Mode, which V8 uses by default.

Victoria 8's absorption coefficients for the green and blue wavelength ranges are a bit high (10 times, compared to measured ones), you could try if the following parameter changes would give you an improvement:

Transmitted Measurement Distance:  1.00

Transmitted Color: 0.615847 / 0.283032 / 0.156186

Scattering Measurement Distance: 0.010

SSS Color: 0.846200 / 0.695030 /  0.630968
