Just a bit of DIM weirdness. I bought the Mac version of the program because I save my .zip files on that computer, but on my new Windows 11 laptop when I downloaded from DIM, I made the decision to not save .zip files. So I didn't buy the Windows version ot the program. I am considering a long term process of uninstalling and reinstalling and saving my .zips on an external hard drive but have not yet done that.
But on the Windows11 DIM, the Mac version of this program is being listed as available to be installed?! I double-checked and I absoluted do not have Mac ticked to be installed by DIM on that computer. I have bought many programs that are OS specific, but this is the first time this has occured.
It is not causing me any issues other than reminding myself to ignore it. But I thought I should mention it.
Do you have Mac 64-bit selected in your DIM downloads folder on your Windows 11 computer? If so, uncheck those MAC download filters on your Windows 11 DIM. If you didn't have Mac download filter selected, it could be a Daz error in tagging the DIM package. Each of those Content Catalog versions should have the correct operating system tag. I have the Windows version and it has tag "Windows 64-bit" in DIM.
You could hide that Mac product in your Windows 11 DIM, so you don't see it to get confused later. Just right click on it in DIM and select Hide Package(s).

My guess is that there is a typo in the Windows DIM manifest ( I don't have that but I think DoctorJellybean will check it ). I only handled the macOS port if this, DoctorJellybean wrote it.
I just used the Mac version of your Content catalog for the first time and it said: “A creator could not be reliably determined for 48 products”.
I looked in the manual to see where to go from there and the screenshot it showed had a button: “Resolve from Creator Database”. My Mac dialogue box does have the button, but it took me forever to realize it since the first and last word was missing from the button, so I thought it was for something else (see pict 1).
Not knowing what to do, I pressed the: “Show me now” button. All of the 48 thumbnails showed up.
I then looked in the Settings and found a: “Resolve from Creator Database” option. I pressed it. Nothing happened.
I finally clicked on the “Clear” button to make these 48 go away and to make the rest of my content thumbnails to appear.
Question 1 - How do I get the remaining 48 thumbnails to show up again without doing a whole rescan?
Question 2 - Some of the ones flagged were because the DAZ Store no longer carries them - understandable. But the others DID have creators listed (I double-clicked on their thumbnails which took me to DAZ’s content listed by SKU number). And there it was, the author’s name for quite a few of the 48 products. This seemed strange to me. Well anyway, I manually filled in some because the creator’s name was in the content’s title. So why didn’t Content catalog find those names?
Question 3: Could I have done something to make Content catalog find and include those names since the: “Resolve from Creator Database” didn’t work?
BTW: I have also added a couple a picts showing problems with two drop-down menus.
Help!
You will need to do a Scan Folder to show the 48 thumbnails up again. It is much quicker than a full Rescan. If that doesn't do it, then try a Rescan.
“Resolve from Creator Database” - you need to run Refresh Creator Database Now first, close the Settings window when that is done, and reopen the Settings window. Now Resolve from Creator Database should be active.
Could you please name a few product examples for question 2, so I can have a look if I have them.

I suspect that the DIM package creation went sideways, I will check with QA.
Corridor seems to be the new Daz euphemism for Hallway. Content Catalog quickly showed me that i have way more than I need. I filtered to Name (i.e. product name) searched for corridor OR hallway. That search finds both (product name that has either word) because of the upper case OR in the search string. I acquired a lot of these as Daz+ freebies, I think. Yup, too many for sure.

This reminds me, I wanted to ask @DoctorJellyBean if he could possibly add either a search modifier such as NOT or a way to include spaces in search. Right now when searching for something like "hair" the search function also pulls up all the "chairs" as well obviously. And I have a lot of chairs so being able to do a seach for "hair NOT chair" would be useful, or an alternative would be a way to search including spaces such as: " hair " OR " hairs "

Implemented, it will need testing. No need for spaces, NOT is sufficient.

In answer to your request - instead of giving you a few names of ones that: ““A creator could not be reliably determined for 48 products”, I will give you the two screenshots that I took. You can get the names from all 48 packages. FYI: some were holiday freebees that are no longer available. Some were really old and DAZ discontinued them, but the remaining did have creator names listed in DAZ's list of content by SKU #.
I agree with donniekeidic. There needs to be a “NOT” included in the search. I did a search for “People” and besides people, it bought up hats, clothes, etc. I guess the tag “People” was included with these since the clothes were for people - as opposed to clothes or armor for animals. But this really cluttered up the search results with unwanted content. - Just a suggestion.

As Barbult said, you can hide it.
Thank you all, I am sorry for the late reply. Two days of crazy running around away from home and little computer time. Well, maybe it is like the recent metadata I am seeing, it is like they are using an AI that sees a name we would know 'Coffee Table' refers to a table in front of a couch, but codes it as 'Food' instead. That is driving my inner inventory management soul crazy.

There are a couple which I do have, and selecting either of them didn't show a creator. A manual Fetch Creator did the trick and added the Creators. It depends on how the product was packed. One example: IM00023649-01_IGIrayEssentialsDarius6: no folder named after the creator is listed in the zip.
I downloaded all my instllers as a backup and also so I could use this program. I ran a scan but it stops and says Error 3 while decompressing. Invalid bock type encountered.
So what does that mean? How do I figure out which file is causing the issue?
There were exe files in the download folder as well as zip. I tried moving all the exe files to another foulder, but that didn't help. The following is the log

That sounds like a corrupted zip. The problem is finding out which one. The easiest way to find out is to use 7-Zip (free, very common) — select all the zip files in the folder at once, right-click → 7-Zip → Test archive. It'll test every selected archive and report exactly which one(s) fail — this is the fastest path, since it checks the whole batch in one pass rather than needing to narrow it down file by file. WinRAR has the equivalent "Test archive(s)" option if that's what's installed instead.
Well, I did what you said, and cleaned things up a bit and managed to get through the scan. Thank you. Never realized you could test zip files with 7 zip.
I maybe found a bug, or maybe not a bug exactly, but exposed a feature request that is needed. If you remove a zip file and you no longer want it included in the catalog, there is no easy way to remove it.
For example: I had installed a zip that was originally a freebie installed from sharecg, but there was a newer version slightly different from a different site. So i removed the old zip, added the new zip, but now I have 2 listings for the same thing. I did a regular scan and full rescan and it doesn't remove the extra zip even though it is no longer there. (I had 4613 items for example, when it runs I see that it is scanning only 4612 items in the log, but when the scan is done it still shows 4613 items.)

Here's what it shows right now (the zip on the right is not in the directory but shows up still in the catalog). I should mention the zips have slightly different names since I use a 3 letter prefix to designate the store. So the one from sharecg was SCG....zip, the currently installed one from 3dshards begins with SHA....zip.
And if I delete the SHA zip and rescan, then yes, they both stay in the Catalog even though neither one is there.

Ok, I did some tests and can't replicate. I do have a much later version, which is being submitted for an update. When the new version appears, please try it again.

DIM package creation has been "going sideways" lately for anything other than plain content. So that is a good guess, I'd say.
