Just a bit of DIM weirdness. I bought the Mac version of the program because I save my .zip files on that computer, but on my new Windows 11 laptop when I downloaded from DIM, I made the decision to not save .zip files. So I didn't buy the Windows version ot the program. I am considering a long term process of uninstalling and reinstalling and saving my .zips on an external hard drive but have not yet done that.

But on the Windows11 DIM, the Mac version of this program is being listed as available to be installed?! I double-checked and I absoluted do not have Mac ticked to be installed by DIM on that computer. I have bought many programs that are OS specific, but this is the first time this has occured.

It is not causing me any issues other than reminding myself to ignore it. But I thought I should mention it.

Do you have Mac 64-bit selected in your DIM downloads folder on your Windows 11 computer? If so, uncheck those MAC download filters on your Windows 11 DIM. If you didn't have Mac download filter selected, it could be a Daz error in tagging the DIM package. Each of those Content Catalog versions should have the correct operating system tag. I have the Windows version and it has tag "Windows 64-bit" in DIM.
You could hide that Mac product in your Windows 11 DIM, so you don't see it to get confused later. Just right click on it in DIM and select Hide Package(s).

My guess is that there is a typo in the Windows DIM manifest ( I don't have that but I think  DoctorJellybean will check it ). I only handled the macOS port if this, DoctorJellybean wrote it.

    Hello,

I have some questions for you:

I just used the Mac version of your Content catalog for the first time and it said: “A creator could not be reliably determined for 48 products”.

I looked in the manual to see where to go from there and the screenshot it showed had a button: “Resolve from Creator Database”. My Mac dialogue box does have the button, but it took me forever to realize it since the first and last word was missing from the button, so I thought it was for something else (see pict 1).

Not knowing what to do, I pressed the: “Show me now” button. All of the 48 thumbnails showed up.

I then looked in the Settings and found a:  “Resolve from Creator Database” option. I pressed it. Nothing happened.

I finally clicked on the “Clear” button to make these 48 go away and to make the rest of my content thumbnails to appear.

Question 1 - How do I get the remaining 48 thumbnails to show up again without doing a whole rescan?

Question 2 - Some of the ones flagged were because the DAZ Store no longer carries them - understandable. But the others DID have creators listed (I double-clicked on their thumbnails which took me to DAZ’s content listed by SKU number).  And there it was, the author’s name for quite a few of the 48 products. This seemed strange to me. Well anyway, I manually filled in some because the creator’s name was in the content’s title. So why didn’t Content catalog find those names?

Question 3: Could I have done something to make Content catalog find and include those names since the: “Resolve from Creator Database” didn’t work?

BTW: I have also added a couple a picts showing problems with two drop-down menus.

    Help!

You will need to do a Scan Folder to show the 48 thumbnails up again. It is much quicker than a full Rescan. If that doesn't do it, then try a Rescan.

“Resolve from Creator Database” - you need to run Refresh Creator Database Now first, close the Settings window when that is done, and reopen the Settings window. Now Resolve from Creator Database should be active.

Could you please name a few product examples for question 2, so I can have a look if I have them.

I suspect that the DIM package creation went sideways, I will check with QA.

As Barbult said, you can hide it.

DIM package creation has been "going sideways" lately for anything other than plain content. So that is a good guess, I'd say.

Corridor seems to be the new Daz euphemism for Hallway. Content Catalog quickly showed me that i have way more than I need. I filtered to Name (i.e. product name) searched for corridor OR hallway. That search finds both (product name that has either word) because of the upper case OR in the search string. I acquired a lot of these as Daz+ freebies, I think. Yup, too many for sure.
