Questions About Write Anywhere & RSSY G8 to G9 Converter Bundle

I am considering buying https://www.daz3d.com/write-anywhere-plus-advanced-lie-and-aging-tools &/or https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-character-and-material-conversion-genesis-8-to-genesis-9-bundle that are in the $2.50 deal.

Is Write Anywhere pretty intuitive, &/or come with a manual? Does the writing look as good as the promos?

While I love all the RSSY scripts I own, I've never used any character converters, from any vendors. Do they work well most of the time? Can they be used with DO/PA characters and your own custom characters?

    Hello,

There is a manual included with Write Anywhere, a 25+ pages PDF documents. On top of that, there is a commercial thread, if you need help from V3Digitimes:

I didn't use it much and can't really comment on the ease of use.

I don't have the other product.

Converters can be used with custom characters. One thing to keep in mind though is that they don't convert HD morphs, only the standard resolution version.

I did not have luck with the character converter from that bundle, and wound up returning it.

    YMMV.

Hi. Does anyone know if the RSSY converter scripts work with DAZ 6? Have Riversoft or Sickleyield confirmed whether they are updating their existing scripts to work with DAZ 6 or we would need to buy new DAZ 6 specific scripts? That question for Code66 as well.... Thanks!

Most of RSSY scripts do not work in DS6 currently. Vendor said there will be a DS6 version but didn't specify if it will be a free update or not. My guess would be that it will depend on how much work is required, especially since they have a lot of products to update.

Thanks Leana! I wished the product pages contained a "Compatible with DAZ6" field "yes/no" so that we know if it works or not. Going forward I can't see how it is sustainable for DAZ to sell so many plug-ins and scripts that won't work with the current version of DAZ and not give a warning that they won't work. It will result in a great many very unhappy and confused bunnies, um, customers....

Before they updated the store, there was a Compatible Software section on product pages. Not that it was 100% accurate, especially with older items. Many didn't list DS, even though promos had DS Render watermarks and What's Included listed DS or 3DL presets. Are there even Software options in the new filters (which are an improvement)?

As well as the manual Elor linked to, I'll add my 2c that it is, indeed, pretty intuitive (in that I have used it and never needed the manual).

And yes, the writing looks that good, though may depend on your overall render (lighting, etc) as for many other things.
