I made this scene before I went away, but forgot to post it. I contains a temple of sorts (from DAZ),  a girl in schooluniform and dragon (also from DAZ). Plants are partly part of the temple set and partly from the ecosystem by Horo and David B. The sky is also from Horo/David, from Fantastic skies, probably modified by me. I tend to forget what I used and how. The schoolgirl tells the dragon: "Down" and who would not obey her?

By the way, did you notice that the pictures do no longer scale with the size of your window, as they used to, when setting the width at 800? Anybody know what changed? Or is it something in my settings?

Under the image it is now written: This image has been resized to fit in the page. Click to enlarge. I don't think the forums did that in the past, did they?

Hansmar - this is a very nicely done scene of the schoolgirls world. I have not notced that the uploaded image scale changed. I also set width always to 800 so the height adjustes correctly. Now let me try ...

The back terrain is from Landscapes under Fantastic Skies, the near one as well as the waterfall and the foam are self made terrains. The terrains have a material from High Resolution Terrains 1, all waters have self made materials. The plants are BTOs (Bryce Tree Object), the material for the leaves were self made. Ambient light by the WhiteSphere HDRI and the key light by the sun. A pond in front of a cliff with a waterfall.

    mermaid - thank you.

The terrain was cut-out from the complete LDEM_0128 of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter, Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LRO-LOLA) and shows the canyon of the Vallis Alpes with parts of the Montes Alpes as viewed from the Mare Frigoris in south-western direction, its height is here superelevated. The material is from High Resolution Terrains 3, sky and ambient light by the SunSet HDRI from "HDRI Enhanced Skies and the key light by the sun. A surreal depicted real moonscape.

Horo, mermaid010, thank you. By the way, it was supposed to be school girls word, because her word makes the dragon bow. laugh

Very good waterfall render, Horo! The other terrain is very outworldly.

If you check your render and make the size of the window of your browser smaller (less wide), you will see that the height/width ratio of the picture changes. It did not use to do that, now with the browser I use (DuckDuckGo). And indeed, it used to correct the height with the width if you set the width at 800, as I also use to do.

Two abstracts from the same scene. I used four cylinders, with rotation, with a Bubble texture and inside a fully reflective cube (with the camera inside as well, of course). A simple backgrop is used, with a light red fill light in the cube and a sphere light inside the cylinders. Also two low negative spotlights at the side pointing towards the center.

The first render is the full scene, while the second one is a close up more towards a corner. I call the scene 'sunburst'.

Hansmar - thank you. Two very nicely done abstracts, I find sunburst quite a fitting name for it.

Horo, agree that the mountains look Mordor.  Beautiful lake and water.  Cool city..greeble?

    Lovely landscape, mermaid.

Hansmar, your last two abstracts are fascinating.  They look like explosions in an ancient Chinese underground city.

    mermaid - thank you.

Three self made terrains with an adjusted material from Gritstone Hills and Terrain Stacking. Sky and ambient light by an HDRI from Terrain Stacking and the key light by the sun. The hot-air balloon is available at Daz 3D.

The terrain was self made and given a material from High Resolution Terrains 3. The clouds are by the CloudSphere6 and the ambient light by the belonging SkySC6 HDRI from the Sky Toolbox. The key light by the sun. A steep valley with a floor covered by plants.

Two outstanding landscapes, Horo; I like the addition of the hot-air balloon in the 1st and the valley floor with plants in the second.

The terrain is from Hi Res 2, materials for the terrain and water from Gritstones Hills, the sky is a modified preset sky the tugboat is a freebie.

Horo: Outstanding landscapes (as usual wink
Hansmar: When looking at your abstract paintings, you can almost feel the heat
mermaid010: Nice and moody scene. IMHO the tug boat in comparison with the mountains may be a tad too big?

I am not that happy with the thunderbolt in my image. But I couldn't find a better one. Does someone here perhaps has a nice image of a thunderbolt with a transparent image, who would spare with me?

Electro-Elvis - thank you. Nicely done thunderstorm with the flash from the clouds down.

Attached FlashBolts.zip contains a Bryce Object file containing 5 flashes I once made from the two photographs I made from home on the 27. August 2016 at around 22:00. Unzip FlashBolt.zip and copy it to Bryce\Presets\Objects\your subfolder\. It contains 5 2D-Faces with a picture material in Ch-A and in Ch-B a colour that can be changed in the DTE.
