Barbult I'm glad you thought it was a good idea to shorten the name..
But did you want to use "discussion" instead of discursion?
Gotta admit "Discursion" has a certain ring to it!
By the way I just got back from a doctor's appointment. Everything is fine.
But apparently I'm shrinking. I am 3 inches shorter!?
It's hard for me to stand on the scales for a weigh-in. Balance is the issue. Same thing for standing against the wall for height management.
I have two bad knees. One has a torn minescus and no cartillage.
Yeah discursion is a good word.
Sounds like the story of my life!
It is for as long as it works!
It comes with a lifetime guarantee
nan
needless to say, D|S is frozen
I have never managed to do that. Congratulations Wendy.
We always reference my late mum as 'Gran' and my wife's mum as 'Nanny', so we never have a 'Nan' in our household, even when not experimenting at the outer reaches of mathematics.
Regards,
Richard
oh I managed to get everything to appear as gibberish once, like if you open a compressed file in notepad
just a copy of a line of one of my saved Hunyuan objects as a dsf to show what I mean
þçý·ü÷ÿøË·ùÛ¿ö7÷û¿þçü<4ùçŸÿøó?
Shades of Patrick McGoohan in The Prisoner - "I am not a number, I am a free man!"
Or Jean Valjean in Les Mis. 24601!
I had a spectacular fall today. Knocked a 27" monitor and a bunch of expensive stuff on the floor.
Fortunately nothing was broke. But my rear end is sore from the fall.
I don't want to clutter this thread too much. Full story is in my Art Zone thread.
Well after a whopping 1 month and 6 days, I'm finally able to run my 'puter again!
I was also finally able to log into my email account and just saw the messages left by the mods (from back when the big clean-up happened), so I've edited the message I posted earlier today and replaced it with this one, just in case!
I've also removed the stuff about my private jet from the main thread, again, just in case!
That aside, what a relief to be back on a proper computer again. I went as far back as page 23 of the main thread just to (re)view the renders on a proper screen. To think there are people out there who use an iPad as their main computer totally baffles me.
That was, without doubt, one of the most mentally torturous experiences of my life!!!
Cheers Barbult, feels like luxury! I also just noticed how much faster my internet is in this new flat since the signal here is way better!
Plus, from my window I now see treetops of the nature reserve that I live just one minute away from (and that's on foot), so I might start a thread in the Art Studio forum after all. I could always fill it with some wildlife snaps whenever I'm short of renders to post!
I've never left the US in Real Life. So I appreciate a Virtual Vacation.
Sorry about my typing. I'm having another lazy day sitting on my hospital bed with the varying air air mattress.
The hospital table has to sit high enough to clear my "generous belly!"
It's rather awkward.
I've been to all seven continents now after Antarctica this past winter (their summer), Ron. I'm glad to take you on this virtual vacation with your friends. I bet pushing that luggage cart wore you out. I hope you can relax on the plane.
the furthest overseas I have been is to Tasmania
I live in Adelaide South Australia
mind you that ferry over the Bass strait was pretty choppy and the plane to Melbourne hit turbulence too so was enough of an experience for me. prefer land travel any day and have driven all the way to Bundaberg Queensland myself on some pretty hairy roads in a crappy gutless Mazda long wheelbase van, some mountains I was struggling in 2nd gear
I've felt "massively honored and thrilled" to have a part in your ongoing story.
I'm also flattered at the concept of my being "mobile and strong enough" to push such a loaded cart.
In reality, I'm an old "rotund" guy who uses a walker to "toddle" through my day.
Oh, by the way, I haven't had any near accidents in the past two days.
That's because I've spent most of the time on my hospital bed watching TV and using my notebook computer.
Now, I have never been to Tasmania. I've been to Sydney once for a few days. It rained a lot while we were there. My little travel umbrella turned inside out and broke in strong wind. The hotel loaned us umbrellas for the rest of our stay.
Now that is good to hear. Stay safe, but remember the saying "use it or lose it". Don't stay sedentary too long and lose your agility to get around (she says as she sits in her computer chair for hours at a time.
). Are you still going down to lunch with your friends every day?
I go down for lunch most days.
Some days I have a bad heartburn after breakfast. It's not a pretty sight... I stay at home when heartburn attacks.
That makes me so damn envious!
I wish I had Australian Citizenship. I'd buy a van, drive-off into some far-off desolate land and live the van life, only ever witnessing "civilisation" when I need to drive into town for food and stuff (and maybe catch-up online if there's no signal out there).
Plenty of sun for free power to compute with, even in the middle of nowhere!
