With the release of DAZ Studio 6 will the Animate 2 and Anilip 2-3 Plugins be updated to use in this program? Cheers

Your guess is as good as anyone's. No one was aware ds6 was coming out today.

Well, Tafi owns Anitmate2 now so anything is possible, but as far as I understand the idea is to integrate everything into the DAZ timeline so I don't think Animate2 itself will be updated, but that is a wild guess

  • Yeah the shadow drop of Daz Studio 6 was quite the surprise! I would like to know that as well. One can only hope!

Spent a great deal on plug-ins ovr the years -- would be quite a blow if they don't update them tp work in Studio 6...

Well I do know that BJ Camera Manager does not work. While it shows in the menu click on the tab / button does nothing and copying the .dll file into the Studio 6 plugins folder does not work. Also Ultrascenery XT and Ultrascenery 2 don't work, and DiM needs to be updated to take into account Studio 6's install location.

The bookmark manager works as does the EJ Camera addon as does a couple of others but in all so far only one plugin is problematic.

I submitted DS6 versions of all my plugins today. Will appear in DIM at some point. Suspect it could be a while, probably a flood of plugins for QA to go through now.

A plugin made for DS4 will not work with DS6, it needs to at least be recompiled with the DS6 SDK. Copying the DLL won't help.

Scripts may or may not work as is depending on what they do.

ZERO Daz 4 plugins work in Daz 6 aside from the ones shipped with Daz. Every plugin maker has to release an update.

    Good on you smileyyes

  • Just a question. I've read that Gescon II works in DS 6, but it's not working. I assume like other plugins I'll just have to wait until it's updated? And I also assume that's true for all plugins except for the ones that came out yesterday and today. If that's true, then I'll just be patient and wait.

Will we be able to change the font size in the new DAZ Studio 6?!

I thought I heard the new version of their "author" software would allow that change?

Switching to a newer version of Qt was a requirement, but just the framework change is not enough to have that feature. It will likely be implemented in a future version.

Yes, AFAIK only the Daz Original plugins already have a DS6 version released, we will need to wait for the others.

Daz bought KeyMate and GraphMate, as far as I know AniMate is still owned by the original developers.

Your Camera Manager looks quite interesting.

So far it seems nobody cares about the bridges for DS6 ? Not a single user asked. Probably because people using the bridges don't care too much of DS being 4 or 6.

Animate 2 is not available in Daz 6. Victoria on AI chat told me. Too bad I kind of liked Daz 6.

Animte is not currently available, we don't know if it will be updated now that the SDK is available. Victoria is an AI chatbot, it isn't guaranteed to be right - and certainly isn't able to foretell the future.
