..apparently this promotion will last all weekend (never can be sure).
Oh well, D+ subscription expired, all tokens have been spent, finances almost at rock bottom with 8 days to go.
My work here is done until next month
Friday morning was artists starting with A-D. (plus artists with number starting characters)
Friday evening was artists starting with E-H
Saturday morning is artists starting with I-L
Saturdy evening will be M-P
Sunday morning will be Q-T
And Sunday evening U-Z
Not sure how it will spill into Monday like most weekend sales do.
Sometimes they throw everything all together and make you regret buying earlier and getting all the unwanted new releases with each incremental sale. Other times, the sale is gone completely. Toss a coin. Its Daz.
I am pretty sure Zeddiccus was in the first lot
of course cannot check
My hat's in the ring for a Surprise Extended Memorial Day Super Fantastico Wowie Zowie Catch-Up Sale, but tbh I'm just sitting here with popcorn at this point.
QG will refresh (likely on Sunday night), and that's good enough for me... even if there's nothing in it that catches my eye.
The links to all those pages are all active right now.
Zedd was one of the artists on https://www.daz3d.com/science-class-bundle where the artist list is:
Artist: Daz Originals Catalyst Dekogon Studios Zeddicuss
This is the debate for me: I used a buy-in yesterday to get some excellent discounts. I could do this each day of the weekend, only to find if I had waited I might have avoided multiple buy-ins.
I did a quick experiment: put some items from the alphabet selection that I want in the cart, looked at the price, then added a new release ($~13) and a cheap featured artist ($2) item to see the discounts. At $30 cart, the applied extra discount didn't change the value of the cart. Quite the contrary, it'd be some $1 cheaper to get the items out right, without new release and the featured artist item, so it tells me that a good deal with good discounts probably starts somewhere around $50-60 cart (unless one has a lot of tokens to bring down the buy-in cost, but I don't, so I haven't tested it) which is a bit too rich for me to play, especially that I a few things I wanted yesterday.
And since the OS will be changing soon, time to do some shopping there. ;)
Looks like the new releases are accumulating (yesterday's are grouped with today's). After they cycle the artists, they'll probably want something that feels extra-big on holiday Monday. My guess is an all-artists catch up sale and it wouldn't surprise me if they throw in a gift card offer to encourage deep spending.
Not bad sale, there are some good artist products on sale, but I don't have time to cart juggle & Atm I'm just on base, so + membership + tokens + buy-in = too much to bother.
I decided to go all in: buy-in, and tokens, with just minutes to spare. Two more items off my WL among the purchases.
I almost always ignore a PA's name, especially if it is presented as part of a product name.
I look mostly for a product name that clearly describes the product itself.
For example, I'm sure "Polish" is fine PA. But I won't by a "Polish Bank," etc.
Did I mention my ex-wife lives in Poland (Maine?!) But that's not really relevant,
If they end up doing a storewide catch up sale on Monday, you could potentially grab a one-month Premier membership, make a $20 purchase for 8 tokens (double monday at Premier rate), then spend the day sifting 50,000 items. :) (Also if you haven't already been a member this month you would have coupons to spend as well.)
It's been quite some time since I last built a decent cart, if memory serves. But today has been a good day for me. I happened to have store credit to spend, my monthly coupons unused, 8 tokens (9 in fact), real interest in at least one of today's new releases, wishlisted items among today's featured artists selection and over twenty wishlisted products included in the current Alphabet Soup section. All these concurrent conditions have allowed me to build a decent cart consisting of 22 items. I'm a happy customer at this moment.
I've managed to knock 20 items off my wishlist three times today
I'd get some of my wislist but I'm nearly out of store credit. I need a good gift card sale first.. Please, DAZ.
well, if it helps you resist and save money
I guess, who am I to judge
I tend to be swayed too easily by a good looking product regardless of its name as my vast library, I avoid checking how much I have spent on, attests
I don't know what occurred, but while playing around with having a Nostalgic New Release, a few alphabet sale items, and shopping in the nostalgic artists, I found two daz artist G9 character bundles pop up for LESS THAN $1.50 EACH. There were other combos, but adding certain items wiped the discounts out so I took what I had. This was around 3:00 PM PST.
Not sure I could replicate this, but people should give it a try.
I think that may actually be right for this sale! :O
Current stacking discounts on Daz Originals:
So the best case math can work out to:
I tried that with a $30.95 item:
I already used my Daz Originals member coupon but sales like this is a great time to use it, can stretch the value really far.
I suspect there will be a catchup weekend day, but my last tokens expire today and there's finally a combination of artists for which I have some wishlist items. Just enough stuff to top off the tokens.
Being almost the end of the month & between paydays, I don't have a lot to spend, but I did use my DO coupon & my lone token to get https://www.daz3d.com/victoria-9-hd-highlander-add-on-bundle for $1 plus https://www.daz3d.com/hh-ankylosaurus from QG.
There's a number of older G9 character & add-on bundles for about $8 including that Highlander bundle.
My library's summer reading program is dinosaur themed, so I am going to do some quick pieces with the ankylosaurus & other prehistoric critters I already own. I'm spending the evening nursing my allergies & looking through my product library to see what plants & stuff I own to put together some habitats for the animals.
...this is the issue with the whole; buy-in requirement as the cost of the buy in has to be offset by the extra savings granted. Often the usual bonus discount is only an extra 10%, so just to break even requires loading up a cart which for a number of us here is beyond our budget (even using tokens).
Turns out I did slightly more than eat popcorn today. A bunch of DO's had dropped to the $2-ish range, and I had two tokens set to expire tonight, so I used up my monthly DO coupon. Happy with my three-item cart that cost about 50 cents. :)
That's a bargain! Nice :)
Noooooooo. Stonemason and Riversoft.
Another $100+ spent
And Roguey and Strangefate.
...Sunset Motel immediately ended up on the wishlist,
Too broke this month.
I have to say there is one great innovation with this weekend's sale: It's 3 days long and the changeover periods are 12 hours long.
Remember those March Madness deals that updated every 6 hours. If anything went wrong, by the time they were reported in the forum and the mods sent the report up the chain, there's be no chance to make a purchase in the 6 hour window.
