speaking of percent off, I used to have the total percent off for the order above the total price. That is not there any longer. Today is the first I've notice that. I assume its a DAZ DEals thing?
EDIT: spoke too soon. Its back. So for the cart right now, with a new release from yesterday, and 1 from today, I'm still at 86% off overall. That's a winner for me. My cut used to be 70%, but with the pricing being so high overall, I've upped my cut to 80% minimum, just to keep things somewhat affordable here, being a hobbyist and all that.

I didn't really like spending $8.64 for Serena G9, essentially a $2.99 morph, but as a buy-in it opened up a lot of savings.  Stonemason's Stardust Saloon at 90% off before tokens is a good deal for me, and then there are a few PA artist items.

There's also a bunch of Zeddicus pose packs for g8-g9 under two bucks each.

I'm surprised no one talking about great pricing right now. Yesterday and today. I do have 8 tokens, but right now I have 10 products in cart that are over 90% off. There are some pretty good prices in PA artists, Lindsay, Zeddicus, etc. Yeah, the buy-ins, but as much as I dislike them, the discounts are worth it, at least today and yesterday. Yesterday's sale pricing still valid as well. Plus its double token day.

There's nothing I have wishlisted in any of today's selections & nothing in the Tipsy Releases I want. So for me the choice is between spending a few dollars because "Super amazing sale!!" & spending zero dollars, and I picked Door#2.

Yup, that's me too. (Well, I do have things WL'ed, but nothing I have immediate plans for, so it's a pass.) Glad for those who are getting great deals on stuff they want, though!

Do you have a gift card/store credit? The percentage off doesn't show up when the ultimate monetory output at transaction completion is $0.

"Extra Deals on Daz+ for Everyone!"

Someone really needs to hand the marketing team a dictionary.

Last I checked, "everyone" means all people, not all-people-who-buy-an-item-released-today.

Maybe it was meant to be "everyone who buys today's new release," but the long text didn't look good and was not important. Not at all... I suppose that makes us all non-new-release buyers no-ones? ;)

thank the powers that be that there is nothing to buy for me today. I guess I could go backward and commit wallet robbery with old sales, like from the last 2 days. Anyway, the DAZ+ items are the ones I skipped before, but allow me to experiment. The price of the DAZ+ item went to 86% off, but the buy-in new item stayed at full release price.

Is there a formula from mathworld that can tell us how many on sale products you need to buy to offset the new release buy-in ?

Remove it from the cart, write down the price of the card without the new release, then add it back and see if the cart is worth less or more with a new release.

Otherwise, something like [price of the new release] divided by [mean reduction in price due to the presence of a new release in your cart] equal [how many items you need to buy to offset the buy-in], but the first method is faster.

The deal is available to everyone. The deal is a discount if you buy a new release in the same cart. The daz shop specials have frequent language issues. But this is not one of them.

Now, if there aren't.duf files, you need to look in the Poser Format section of DS, & it goes without saying that you'll have to convert/tweak the materials.

I am really glad y'all had this conversation, I got the elasmotherium and was trying to figure out what was wrong, I had already re-installed it, and was planning on searching the forums for "Elasmotherium"  laugh

Perhaps they mean people who are and people who are not Daz+ members, but you are right. That is not "everyone". It is just one more in the very long long list of Daz ad wording that doesn't adhere to the accepted interpretation of everyday words.

I'm very unhappy with all of this. I don't like anything in DAZ+, Quck Grab or the Outlet Store.

The sales are lame also. I don't like having to do a buy-in either.

...I really hate the fact they change over to the new month's D+ coupons a day early.  I cancelled the renewal for D+ as I am really tight  on cash this month due to "non-Daz" expenses (and still have a "direct pay" utility bill pending next week).. The last several sales have also been pathetic with nothing from the wishlist showing in any of the specials or the Featured Artists selection several times in the last week.(never used that 30% wishlist orange banner code either as a good number of items in the list still show "new" status (that return an "coupon  is invalid" message).or had no additional discount from other deals and sales.

When I tried to key enter the May PA coupon code I wasn't sure about the format and every permutation I tired was rejected.  So I lost the PA coupon and had to dump items from the cart.  I also stand to lose tokens as well as I was going to use 6 to bring the total for the cart as close to18$ as possible to use the PA coupon..

Also a few tokens simply disappeared from my account as well for when I checked on the weekend there were 12 showing with the first ones set to expire after midnight Daz time tonight (tonight when I opened the cart it showed 10)..  I I used none for the previous two purchases I made as the one on the 17th was a "freebie" and the on 19th, a DO item that was 6.43$ for which I used the DO coupon.

This is no longer the Daz I remember joining 18 years ago.angel

The coupon all start with MONTH_YEAR then the name of the coupon, so XX_26SAVE6 for all the 2026 PA Daz+ coupons, where XX is the number of the month.

If you're on the last day of, let's say, april, and the system is already showing you the may coupon, just replace 05 by 04 and it'll work.

I don't understand this attitude. There could be no sale at all. We aren't owed a sale daily.

If you like the buy-in item, and would have bought it anyway, the final price for the buyin and the other item is NET less than buying them without the sale.

And, as always, you can buy nothing. All of the past few days "Get this with new release" were easy to ignore for me. They were frequently only G8 items at 80% off or whatever. I don't need them or want them. I didn't use the sale. Did I come here and groan about it? No. Sometimes the sales are good. Sometimes they are weak. And sometimes they just aren't worth it for me. Just like when my grocery store has a sale on green beans. I don't like green beans. I don't complain to customer service "why is this useless sale on green beans when it could be on peas?" I just don't get a sale price that week because I don't buy the green beans, as usual.

Nothing in today's new release really took my fancy. I did buy the 90's mob style outfit, commercial van and street scene though as I can use them, plus it triggered some insane discounts on a few WL items. Small spend for me today, $22.

So much for banning myself from the store......

@jmucciello I don't understand your attitude. People are allowed to complain a much as they like. The Daz store has a long history of providing a daily sale. When the perceived quality of that sale is poor, it's probably worth mentioning in a thread that exists to discuss the the daily sales. It's all good because people are also quick to mention when a sale is particularly good.

Then that is what you should have said. But in this case, I think all the complaints have been fair and justified. Keeping silent would be self censorship. So I'm glad they complained. And at that point, I reckon we agree to disagree.

i get jumped on here as well. Thing is, I've spent enough money here ot buy a nice car, so I feel I deserve to complain. I've seen every change that has come about here, considering the company was Zygote when I first arrived, during the new days when Poser was the software and everyone was like one big happy family enjoying the new gig of 3D graphics. The very beginning. Things have changed so much it isn;t even the same company, not even close, with a totally different vibe and feel to it.  Not for the better either.

I know many of us look forward to buying something here. Something unique, and hopefully at a great discount. When it gets monotonous and same same nearly every day, it gets frustrating. When it turns into majority sleaze wear, it gets frustrating. When the prices continuously go up and up it gets real frustrating. Yeah, DAZ doesn't owe us anything, you know, its only business.

I also started with Daz when they were part of Zygote and Poser was the only game in town, Poser 3 at the time just before 4 came out, and I have to agree with you 100%

The issue with the “just don’t buy it” logic is that customer feedback is literally how companies know when they’re screwing up. People complaining about repetitive sales, buy ins, inflated prices, or lazy releases aren’t being “too negative”, they’re saying “hey, we think this direction kinda sucks.”

If everyone just stayed quiet and accepted everything, DAZ (or any other company selling things) would have zero reason to improve anything. We’d probably get even more low effort recycled Daz Originals every week instead of actual standout characters like Aro 9, Frankie 9, or Sigrid 9. Lately it feels like: “oh cool, another creepy Tabitha 9 or Xola 9 or Zack 9 derivative dwarf with slightly different ears and abs and no real new textures.” That stuff keeps happening because people buy them and nobody pushes back.

Nobody’s saying DAZ owes us perfect sales every day but longtime customers who’ve spent hundreds or thousands here absolutely have the right to criticize where the store is heading, especially in a thread literally made for discussing sales and store trends.
