Not sure what the fuss is all about with this bloke.  There's nothing wrong with wanting to smell nice in the presence of a lady.  It's big business, aftershave and all that sort of thing, so to be fair, Richard really shouldn't be there even if it was him in the photo.

And sure, I do think it's Richard, but maybe he had a hard day on the forum and was trying to unwind.

On the funny side, that carrot character gives me the giggles for some reason.  Perhaps it's because he comes across as a bit cheeky, I don't know.  But I reckon he'd make a great light-hearted villain character for your stories, someone who unexpectedly pops up in the odd story now and then  :-D

Every day on the forum is probably a hard day for moderators.  Maybe that "unwinding" is how Richard gets into so may predicaments.

The Carrot could be back at some point in time. I agree, he looks rather mischievous. Richard is the beloved leading man of this thread. Jack and Lola are supporting characters, appearing very often. Others drop by from time to time. New ones appear occasionally. Ron and the Carrot are both fairly new here.

I never know what will happen until it happens. It is like this thread has a life of its own and I am just the medium through which it forces its will on us. smiley

Charges dropped, or charges batted off the edge of the table?

    Probably the latter!

I suspect the charge sheet was eaten, ready to be barfed up later into someone's shoe where they'll find it at 3am. Regards, Richard.

Let's hope not!  Although IIRC you have a pose for that. You know cats too well.

I'm surprised Richard didn't keep it, so he could add it to his growing collection. Some people collect stamps, Richard maybe collects charge sheets.

Hmmm. He probably has a pretty good collection by now. He, Jack and Lola were together in jail at one time (earlier in this thread). That is where Richard and Lola met.

I reckon The Carrot (or someone working on his behalf) was comissioned to take a photo that could be considered compromising.  This was then nefariously sold to some French manufacturer (the French aspect given away by the term  "HASELTINE  Eau de Toilette 150mL"  being used on the billboard posters).  No way would that term ever be used on a very British product like "Haseltine", for which one would assume the term  "HASELTINE  Aftershave for Men 150mL"  would have been used instead.

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw the Eiffel Tower in the background at some point in the future, put it that way.  So there's something iffy there for a start.  The photo of course is perfectly innocent.  I reckon Richard, after a hard day on the forum, was simply unwinding on his rocking horse, while Lola looked on from the comfort of the sofa, relaxing after another hard day keeping him in check!

So nah, I'm just not falling for it.  I reckon the bloke with poor eyesight is really just a decoy being used to take our attention away from the real villain (The Carrot)  :-D

Keeping Richard in check would definitely be a full time job. I don't think it is even possible.

True, and he'd look better in stripes, anyway ... cheeky

He has built-in stripes in his fur. Perhaps we are coming to realization about why that is.

I hope you are not suggesting I would give any degree of approval to a product associated with the removal of whiskers.

Like most of your cultural references, i had no clue about this.  I had to do a search again. I marvel at how you know so much stuff that I am clueless about. I must contemplate a new render now.

Well, I am old enough (just) that it used to be a thing in the UK - I think we did, when I was very young, have one ring the doorbell (no idea if any onions were purchased)

    The Onions Are Ripe

Richard Haseltine: Lola, look! The onions are ready. I need to find my Breton sweater and get ready to sell.

    Will You Buy My Onions?

Richard bikes around with a load of onions, looking for buyers.
(Do you know how long it takes to get Richard dressed and on that little bike? Hours! I don't have the cat posing skills of Other-Richard.)

    @Richard
Fair point, though there's no knowing how much it would take to turn a cat's whiskers!

    @Barbult
I literally just laughed out loud when I saw that, then made it full screen and laughed again when I spotted someone else  :-D
I must say, Richard has the most elegant way of riding a bicycle that I've ever seen.

A most elegant cycling manner you have there, Monsieur Haseltine!

Hmm The vengeful carrot or one of his relatives is travelling again. And will Richard get distracted by the mices?

You've done an incredible job there, Barbult, with getting the clothing to work with the cat. Amazing.

    Regards,

    Richard.

I imagine it might take a while to get a cat into that outfit!

That is a really cute picture, though maybe with a *little* bit of menace.

I see he's making good use of the tail-rest. I think I see him wobbling a bit though ( even if he is an excellent cyclist ). Maybe his load of onions has unexpectedly shifted.

At least if the shirt gets torn barbult won't have to fit it again.

It's gonna take him more than a few hours to get out of those clothes again, I tell ya' that.
Last time I saw such tight-fitting garments as that, they turned out to be body paint  :-D

PS:  I hadn't noticed the mice until I saw Other-Richard's post!

It's a great Image, it could easily have come from a children's story  book. I think it was time well spent.
